The Setting Spyro Gyra participated in a George Wein production of the Newport Jazz Festival near Mount Fuji. The festival brought together legendary artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Ritenour, Gil Evans, and Tanya Maria.
