    إنانا، رابر من سوريا لا يؤمنون بالضمائر الجندرية، ويؤمنون بأن الهوية ليست محددة بقواعد أو توقعات المجتمع. منذ صغرهم، عرفوا إنانا أنهم ينتمون إلى مجتمع الميم عين، لكن الظروف في سوريا جعلت من الصعب عليهم التعبير عن أنفسهم. رغم الرفض الذي تلقوه من عائلتهم والمجتمع، كان لديهم دائمًا إيمان قوي بأننا يجب أن نكسر القواعد التي فُرضت علينا فقط لأننا لا نتفق معها.عندما انتقلوا إلى ألمانيا، وجدوا إنانا الحرية التي طالما حلموا بها، وأصبحوا قادين على أن يكونوا أنفسهم بكل فخر. إنانا يؤمنون أنهم لا يجب على أي شخص أن يرضخ للأحكام المسبقة أو المعايير الجندرية، بل يجب أن نعيش حياتنا كما نريد، بدون خوف أو خجل.Enana, the Syrian rapper who doesn’t believe in gender pronouns, believes that identity is not defined by society’s rules or expectations. From a young age, Enana knew they were part of the LGBTQ+ community, but the circumstances in Syria made it difficult for them to express themselves. Despite the rejection they faced from their family and society, Enana always held a strong belief that we must break the rules imposed upon us simply because we don’t agree with them When Enana moved to Germany, they found the freedom they had always dreamed of, and became able to be themselves with pride. Enana believes that no one should conform to preconceived judgments or gender norms, and that we should live our lives as we wish, without fear or shame.

    رافائيل، رجل ترانس من الأردن، الذي يروي لنا تجربته في الخروج عن القيود الجندرية والبحث عن هويته في بيئة مليئة بالتحديات. منذ شبابه، عانى رافائيل من الاضطهاد في مجتمعه، خاصة في التسعينات، حيث كانت فكرة التعبير عن هويته الجنسية والجندرية تعتبر أمرًا مرفوضًا تمامًا. في ذلك الوقت، كان هو وأصدقاؤه يضطرون لإنتاج عروض مسرحية سريًا، بعيدًا عن أعين المجتمع، حيث كانت تهدد حياتهم المهنية والاجتماعية إذا اكتشفوا حقيقتهم.لكن مع مرور الوقت، قرر رافائيل الهجرة إلى ألمانيا بحثًا عن الحرية والقبول، لكن واقع الحياة في الخارج لم يكن كما كان يتوقع. رغم أنه ابتعد عن الشرق الأوسط، وجد أن الجاليات العربية في أوروبا، وخاصة بعد الأحداث الأخيرة في فلسطين، أصبحت أقل قبولًا لأفراد مجتمع الميم.ورغم كل هذا، يظل رافائيل مؤمنًا بأن النضال من أجل الهوية يجب أن يستمر، سواء في الشرق الأوسط أو في الخارج، فالمثلية ليست جريمة.استمعوا للحلقة كاملة من سلسلة ‘ميم عين’ على جميع منصات وترة.Raphael, a trans man from Jordan, shares his experience of breaking free from gender norms and searching for his identity in a challenging environment. Since his youth, Raphael faced persecution in his community, especially in the 1990s, when expressing his sexual and gender identity was completely unacceptable. At that time, he and his friends had to secretly produce theater performances away from the eyes of society, as it would threaten their professional and social lives if their true identities were discovered.Over time, Raphael decided to immigrate to Germany in search of freedom and acceptance. However, life abroad wasn't as he had hoped. Although he left the Middle East, he found that the Arab communities in Europe, especially after the recent events in Palestine, had become less accepting of LGBTQ+ individuals.Despite all of this, Raphael remains steadfast in his belief that the struggle for identity must continue, whether in the Middle East or abroad, because being gay is not a crime.Listen to the full episode of the ‘Meem 3ain’ series on all Watara platforms.

    هنادي، امرأة ترانس من اليمن، خاضت معركة قاسية من أجل أن تكون نفسها في عالم يرفض المختلفين. منذ طفولتها، كانت هنادي تشعر أن هويتها الحقيقية لا تتوافق مع توقعات المجتمع، وكان هذا الصراع الداخلي هو ما جعلها دائمًا تشعر بالرفض. تعرضت للتهديدات المستمرة والابتزاز، عائلتها الذين كانوا يرون فيها خيانة للمجتمع والعادات.لكن رغم كل ذلك، لم تسمح هنادي للظلم أن يحدد مصيرها. في وقت لاحق، تعرضت لاختطاف مروع على يد أربعة رجال، وتم الاعتداء عليها جسديًا، تركوها في الشارع، لكنها استمدت قوتها من داخلها لتستمر في النضال. ذهبت هنادي الى مصر، حيث وجدت مكانًا آمنًا للبداية من جديد، ورغم الضغط و الخوف، قررت أن تصبح صوتًا لمن لا صوت لهم.هنادي أصبحت واحدة من أبرز الناشطات المدافعات في المنطقة وأصبحت تمثل الأمل للكثيرين الذين يعانون من الاضطهاد. عملت على تمثيل الشباب اليمني والدفاع عن قضاياهم في مجال السياسة والدبلوماسية، متحديةً الكراهية والرفض بسبب هويتها. رغم استهداف الحوثيون لها في اليمن نحو مصر. Hanadi, a trans woman from Yemen, fought a tough battle to be herself in a world that rejects differences. Since childhood, Hanadi felt that her true identity did not align with society's expectations, and this internal conflict made her always feel rejected. She faced continuous threats and blackmail from her family, who saw her as a betrayal to society and traditions.Despite all of this, Hanadi didn’t let injustice define her fate. Later, she was horrifically kidnapped by four men, who physically assaulted her and left her in the street. But she drew strength from within herself to continue fighting. Hanadi moved to Egypt, where she found a safe place to start over, and despite the pressure and fear, she decided to become a voice for those who had none.Hanadi became one of the leading activists in the region, representing hope for many who suffer from oppression. She worked on representing Yemeni youth and advocating for their causes in politics and diplomacy, challenging hatred and rejection because of her identity. Despite being targeted by the Houthis in Yemen, she continued her journey to Egypt.

    حوار، امرأة ترانسية من العراق، التي شعرت منذ صغرها أنها فتاة في عالم لا يرحم. منذ طفولتها، كانت تشعر بأن جسدها لا يعكس هويتها الحقيقية. تعرضت لحقد شديد من عائلتها، خاصة من إخوتها الذين اعتدوا عليها جسديًا و معنويًا، مما جعلها تشعر بأنها دخيلة في منزلها. رغم كل المعاناة والألم، لم بدأت رحلتها لتجد هويتها الحقيقية. مرت بالكثير من الضغوطات خاصة انها من مجتمع عربي، ولكنها في النهاية تمكنت من إيجاد عائلتها المختارة، تلك التي تقبلها كما هي وتمنحها الدعم والحب الذي كانت تفتقده. بل ووجدت في نفسها القوة لتصبح أمًا و مناضلة من أجل الحريات. حوار تتحدث عن كيف أن القانون العراقي صارم جدًا ضد مجتمع الميم، وكيف أن العيش كترانس في العراق ليس واردًا . ومع ذلك، نضال حوار لا ينتهي من اجل حقوق و حرية المثليين. Hawar, a trans woman from Iraq, has felt since her childhood that she was a girl in a world that shows no mercy. Since she was young, she always felt that her body did not reflect her true identity. She faced intense hatred from her family, especially from her brothers who physically and emotionally abused her, making her feel like an outsider in her own home. Despite all the suffering and pain, she began her journey to find her true identity. She went through many pressures, especially being from an Arab society, but eventually, she was able to find her chosen family, the one that accepted her for who she was and gave her the love and support she had always lacked. She even found the strength within herself to become a mother and a fighter for freedom. Hawar talks about how the Iraqi law is very strict against the LGBTQ+ community and how living as a trans person in Iraq is almost impossible. However, Hawar's struggle continues for the rights and freedom of the LGBTQ+ community.

    حلقة جديدة مع أمير من سوريا ، الذي بدأ رحلته للتحول من فتاة إلى فتى في مجتمع مليء بالتحديات. منذ صغره، شعر دائمًا أن جسده لا يعكس هويته الحقيقية، وكان يواجه صراعًا داخليًا عميقًا. عندما قرر أن يبدأ رحلته ليكون ترانس، واجه مقاومة شديدة من المجتمع والعائلة. أمير يشاركنا كيف أنه لا يواجه فقط صعوبة في قبول هويته الخاصة، بل أيضًا معاملة مليئة بالكراهية والتمييز، خاصة كونه سوريًا يعني ان يعاني من صراعات مستمرة. يحكي لنا عن تجربته في البقاء على قيد الحياة في عالم لا يتقبل الاختلاف، وكيف كان عليه أن يقاتل يومًا بعد يوم ليحافظ على نفسه في مجتمع لا يعترف بحقوقه. Since childhood, he always felt that his body did not reflect his true identity, and he faced a deep internal struggle. When he decided to begin his journey to become trans, he encountered strong resistance from both society and his family. Amir shares with us how he not only faced difficulty accepting his own identity, but also experienced hatred and discrimination, especially as a Syrian, which meant enduring ongoing struggles. He tells us about his experience of surviving in a world that doesn't accept difference, and how he had to fight day after day to preserve his sense of self in a society that does not recognize his rights.

    محمد من اليمن ، الذي اكتشف في وقت مبكر أنه يحب الرجال، لكن مجتمعه وعائلته لم يتقبلوا هويته كما حال كل افراد مجتمع المثليين. لكن محمد تعرض للاضطهاد والتنمر، تعرض للضرب من عائلته و الرفض الكامل بسبب ميوله الجنسية. في السعودية ، لم يتوقف الألم، حيث داهمت الشرطة منزله، صادرت كل متعلقاته الشخصية، واعتقلته فقط لأنه لم يكن "رجوليًا" بما يكفي في نظرهم. لكن القصة لم تنتهِ هنا، فقد قررت السلطات اختلاق كذبة بأنه من الحوثيين لتبرير تعذيبه واحتجازه. محمد يشاركنا معاناته، ويكشف لنا كيف أن الأشخاص من مجتمع الميم في المنطقة يعانون ليس فقط من القمع الاجتماعي، ولكن من التجاوزات القانونية والاعتقالات التعسفية. Mohammad from Yemen, who discovered at an early age that he is attracted to men, faced rejection from his community and family, as is the case for many in the LGBTQ+ community. Mohammad endured persecution, bullying, and physical abuse from his family, who fully rejected him because of his sexual orientation. In Saudi Arabia, the pain didn’t stop, as the police raided his home, confiscated all his personal belongings, and arrested him simply because he wasn’t “masculine enough” in their eyes. But the story didn’t end there; the authorities fabricated a lie, claiming he was from the Houthis, to justify torturing and imprisoning him. Mohammad shares his suffering and reveals how people from the LGBTQ+ community in the region face not only social oppression but also legal violations and arbitrary arrests.

    أنيسة من لبنان، التي كانت تعلم و هي صغيرة أنها مختلفة، لكن خوفها من المجتمع كان أكبر. أنيسة التي تمثل واحدة من العديد من الأصوات في الشرق الأوسط التي تقاوم الصمت. قصتها ليست مجرد قصة فردية، بل هي قصة مئات الآلاف الذين يعيشون في ظل الخوف والتهديدات، حيث يُجبرون على إخفاء هويتهم خوفًا من المجتمع والقوانين القاسية. بالرغم من التهديدات بالقتل والمجتمع الذي لا يرحم، اختارت انيسة أن تكون صوتًا لمجتمع المثليين في منطقتها. قوتها ليست مجرد شجاعة شخصية، بل هي شجاعة تتحدى نظامًا كاملًا يحاول إسكات كل من هو مختلف. Anissa from Lebanon, who knew from a young age that she was different, but her fear of society was greater. Anissa represents one of many voices in the Middle East that resist silence. Her story is not just an individual one, but the story of hundreds of thousands who live under fear and threats, forced to hide their identities because of society and harsh laws. Despite death threats and an unforgiving community, Anissa chose to be a voice for the LGBTQ+ community in her region. Her strength is not just personal courage, but courage that challenges an entire system trying to silence anyone who is different.
