    I thought leaving for four days would teach me how to become a better entrepreneur. Instead, it taught me how to become a better mom. Like so many mothers, I believed balancing it all meant making sure every detail was handled by me. Before I boarded my flight, I had packed bags, coordinated schedules, planned transportation, organized activities, and created backup plans for the backup plans. Because that is what moms do...right? But while I was away at a business mastermind, something unexpected happened. My family stepped up. My husband handled our daughter's national diving competition. My parents cared for our boys. Everyone made it where they needed to be. The house didn't fall apart. For the first time in a long time, I realized that the weight I had been carrying wasn't mine alone to carry.
