    Seeing is Believing

    What happens when Jesus steps into a situation that seems impossible to change? In this Church Family Deep Dive, we revisit Pastor Malcolm Macqueen’s sermon “Seeing is Believing”, delivered at KCC AoG Church, Old Town, Swindon, exploring the powerful account in John 9 of Jesus healing a man who had been blind from birth. Born blind, living blind and expected to remain blind, this man's future appeared already decided. Then Jesus entered his life. Together, we explore why Jesus used such an unusual method to heal him, why the man's obedience mattered and why those who witnessed an undeniable miracle responded so differently. Some questioned what they saw, some accepted it and others rejected it altogether. The conversation also tackles the deeper challenges raised by the sermon: Can pride keep us spiritually blind? What are we afraid of losing if we fully follow Jesus? Are we prepared to change? And if Christ sets us free, what will we do with that freedom?     A Miracle on The Sabbath Day

    What happens when you've been waiting for change for so long that you've almost stopped believing change is possible? In this episode, we explore Pastor Malcolm Macqueen's powerful sermon, A Miracle on The Sabbath Day, preached at KCC AoG Church, Old Town, Swindon, on Sunday 20 September 2026. Based on John 5 and the healing of the man at the Pool of Bethesda, this conversation takes us into the life of a man who had lived with his infirmity for 38 years – helpless, waiting and watching others seemingly move ahead of him. Then Jesus entered his situation. Pasted text We unpack the striking contrast between the busy Sheep Market and the suffering found at Bethesda, the “House of Mercy”. While others avoided the difficult and broken places, Jesus deliberately walked towards them. And when He met this man, He didn't simply offer sympathy. He asked a life-changing question: “Wilt thou be made whole?” Through Pastor Malcolm's three central themes – a call to rise, a call to rely on Father God and a call to a better resurrection – we consider what it means to move beyond helplessness, trust God above human systems and allow Jesus to bring genuine transformation into our lives. We also explore the danger of a religious spirit. While a man celebrated freedom after 38 years of suffering, the Pharisees were more concerned that he was carrying his bed on the Sabbath. It's a challenging reminder that we can become so concerned with rules and expectations that we fail to recognise the grace of God at work right in front of us. Perhaps you've been waiting for your circumstances to change. Perhaps disappointment has affected what you believe is possible. Or maybe you've found yourself saying, “I have no one to help me.” This episode carries a simple message of hope: Jesus knows your name, He knows your circumstances and He knows how long you've been there. Whatever you're facing, never say never to Jesus. Listen as we explore how Christ calls us from helplessness into wholeness, from dependence on people into deeper reliance upon God and ultimately towards the eternal hope of resurrection life.     A Call to Build the House of God

    A Greater Than Moses Is Here | Pastor Malcolm Macqueen What does the life of Moses teach us about the way God prepares, changes and uses His people? In this podcast, we revisit Pastor Malcolm Macqueen’s sermon “A Greater Than Moses Is Here”, based on Hebrews 3:1–4. From Moses’ extraordinary survival as a child to his years in Pharaoh’s palace and four decades in the wilderness, we explore how God took a man who was once “mighty in word and deed” and brought him to a place of dependence, surrender and availability. We look at five significant aspects of Moses’ life: survivor, deliverer, mediator, law giver and mentor. Yet each one ultimately points us towards someone greater — Jesus Christ.     What does it really mean to choose God, not just once, but every day? In this special podcast deep dive, we revisit Pastor Malcolm Macqueen’s message, “Joshua’s Call to Consecration”, preached at King’s Christian Centre AoG Church, Old Town, Swindon, on Sunday 16 August 2026. Drawing from Joshua 24:14–15, we explore Joshua’s powerful challenge to Israel: remember what God has done, choose whom you will serve and make that commitment genuine and lasting. Looking back over 560 years of Israel’s history, we’re reminded that God was present through the good, the difficult and the unexpected. That same truth speaks into our lives today. When circumstances change and we can’t see what God is doing, His faithfulness hasn’t changed. The conversation also explores one of the greatest challenges to Christian commitment today: busyness. With work, responsibilities, phones, notifications and countless distractions competing for our attention, it’s possible to become so occupied with life that we neglect the One who gives us life. Yet choosing Christ brings us back to three powerful truths highlighted in the sermon: God’s presence, God’s provision and God’s protection.     Caleb – Despised by People yet Chosen of God | Sermon Deep Dive What does it mean to remain faithful when you feel unseen, overlooked or surrounded by negativity? And can God still be working when the promise you've been holding on to seems years away? In this podcast deep dive, we revisit Pastor Malcolm Macqueen's powerful sermon, “Caleb – Despised by People yet Chosen of God”, delivered at KCC AoG Church, Old Town, Swindon on Sunday 9 August 2026. Drawing from Numbers 14:24, Joshua 14 and the remarkable life of Caleb, we explore what it means to become a faithful and victorious Christian. Caleb spent decades outside the spotlight. While Joshua was prominent, Caleb was often unseen, yet he remained faithful, constant and dependable. Surrounded by murmuring and unbelief, he refused to allow the negativity of others to determine his own relationship with God. He kept his heart right, chose forgiveness over bitterness and continued to believe what God had promised. We explore Pastor Malcolm's teaching on Caleb's invisibility, his spiritual vision and ultimately his victory. We also consider why wilderness seasons aren't necessarily wasted seasons. God can use difficult circumstances to humble us, test our faith, reveal what's within our hearts and teach us to depend upon Him. One of the great lessons from Caleb's life is the importance of what we choose to remember. While others looked back towards Egypt, Caleb remembered God's goodness, what he had experienced and the promise God had made to him. For 45 years, he held on. Then, at 85 years old, Caleb could finally step forward and claim his inheritance: “Give me this mountain.” This conversation also points us towards the greater victory found in Jesus Christ. Just as Caleb overcame the giants standing between him and his inheritance, Christ has conquered our greatest enemies: death, hell and the grave. Victory is ours through Jesus. If you're walking through your own wilderness, waiting for an answer, feeling unnoticed or wondering whether your greatest days are behind you, this episode carries a timely encouragement: Keep your heart right. Keep trusting God. Keep remembering His faithfulness. Keep holding on to His promises. Your faithfulness may be unseen by people, but it isn't unseen by God. And, like Caleb, you may discover that some of the greatest victories God has prepared for you are still ahead.
