The first of many major ingresses to take place this year; Neptune enters Aries on MONDAY! We are learning how to play with fire. How to keep a good flame. How to be in right relationship with this most powerful elemental; and unlock the divinatory magick that it holds. We are all becoming firekeepers, in our own rightful ways. Fire can burn, or it can brighten. It can offer inspiration, or frustration. It can bring rightful rage to outline our boundaries, or it can become overly defensive + reactive. It can be a force for change + transformation, or one of reckless destruction. It all depends on how we wield this flame within. Neptune’s ingress into Aries is surprising, like the sound of an alarm pulling us out of a deep sleep. It is the essence of wakefulness; of coming to our senses out of some great slumber. For the past 14 years, we have been dreamwalking. Neptune in Pisces brought great beauty, and also, great dissociation. It is no coincidence that we witnessed the rise of social media + the exponential noise that it has created under this transit. Neptune in Pisces has been just as much a play of smoke in mirrors, as it has been visionary + inspiring. We opened doors to alternate realities; now we must reckon with the impact of a lucid state gone too far. ‘SNAP OUT OF IT!’ — that’s the energy I feel from this ingress. Wake up. We need you all the way here. Lift your gaze from your screens and look at the world around you. Look at the Land, your community, your neighbors. What are you going to do about this waking dream? If Neptune in Pisces revealed to us the possibility of the dream world, a sea of pure potential; Neptune in Aries will ask us to take our dreams seriously. To act on them. To make them tangible, plant them in the soil. We have no time to waste. And, with this energy, I believe it could very easily bring the urge to ‘burn it all down’. If we do not temper our impulses, we become reactive, destructive. Saturn is not yet here to shed light on the long-term consequences in response to our actions. The next few weeks will challenge us to stay calm in the fast of instinctual reactivity. Pay attention to your impulses; they hold keys to the future. The space between awareness + action is where choice lives. Be intentional. Move from agency, rather than a disembodied sense of urgency. Urgency is a tool of empire, rooted in scarcity. Not enough creates the need to take what we can get ‘before it’s too late’. Now or never mentality is an illusion; we have fallen out of Right Relationship with Time. Slow down. Let yourself get still. Then act from a CLEAR MIND. The work of the true Warrior. On Tuesday, Mars + Pluto make a conjunction in Aquarius. This is a thunderclap, a reckoning in response to misuse of Power. We are asked to still see the humanity in our adversary, to not lose sight of this, lest we lose touch of our the humanity within ourselves. It is possible to hold a boundary and still see that your opponent is a human in pain. The dignified Warrior will never lose sight of this; the moment we do, we are enabling dehumanization. That’s where I’ll leave you for now. There’s a practice below to deepen with the fire, tending the good flame.
