Ever felt like you "should" be running your business a certain way - and it's exhausting you?  This week I sit down with neurodivergent business and family coach Talia Zamora to unpack what happens when you stop forcing yourself into someone else's mould.  From late dyslexia diagnoses to redefining what success actually looks like, this is a conversation about permission - to work differently, rest without guilt, and trust your gut when something doesn't add up.  If you've ever quietly wondered whether your brain works differently to everyone else's, press play.  Connect with Talia:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/taliazamora/ https://www.facebook.com/talia.zamora.94 https://www.youtube.com/@TaliaZamoraCoach/featured https://www.taliazamora.com/ If you love the podcast and you'd like to give a little something to say "thank you" you can buy me a coffee 🍵 by clicking here Join me for FREE, live Clarity and Calm Journaling Circles (online every Tuesday at 8pm UK time) - click here to get your ticket Book a FREE Action Filter call with me (limited availability): Click here for more info and to book your call Join my mailing list to get podcast episodes straight to your inbox each week - click here to sign up Email me at sue@suerichardscoaching.co.uk Connect with me: On Instagram https://instagram.com/suerichards.coaching On LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/suerichardscoaching Watch on YouTube here (only available for episodes 49 onwards)

69 - Ditching Social Media Without Ditching Your Business, with Polly Pollock

"If not Instagram, then where?"  It's the question Polly Pollock hears from coaches and practitioners more than any other - and she's got the answer. Polly is a marketing mentor for ADHD and neurodivergent business owners, helping them build visibility without burning out on social media.  In this episode, we get into podcast guesting, collaboration-based marketing, why "limiting beliefs" and genuine ethics get confused, and how to build an email community that actually works while you're offline.  Plus: the surprising thing Polly's lower eyelid does when she's overdone it. 68 - Fuel Your Brain and Body: Nutrition Tips for Busy Business Owners with Becki Beard

What you eat - and when - could be the business strategy you've been overlooking. In this episode of Pepp Talks I'm joined by Becki Beard, qualified nutritional therapist and founder of Rebecca Beard Nutrition, for a conversation that goes well beyond food.  Becki shares her journey from primary school teacher to nutrition expert (via a stint as a cleaner that turned out to be the best decision she ever made), and why the answers we're looking for often arrive when we stop looking quite so hard. Becki shares four practical, low-effort tips to help business owners - especially women navigating perimenopause - stabilise their energy, support their hormones, and actually feel good during the working day. In this episode: Why breakfast really does matter, and what to put on your plateThe simple coffee habit shift that could change your energy levelsWhy resistance training is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health - and how to fit it in without a gymThe one thing we always deprioritise that science says we shouldn'tFind Becky on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rebeccabeardnutrition/ Download Becky's free quinoa energy ball recipe here Enjoyed this episode? Ever feel like something's not quite right, but you can't put your finger on what? This week I'm joined by mindset coach Maria Newman - 2nd dan black belt, audiobook addict, and the woman who went from 15 years in corporate to building a business that actually lights her up. We dig into: why so many of us stay stuck even when we know we want changethe three things that determine whether you move forward or stay exactly where you arewhy one tiny degree off course can quietly take you miles from where you want to be.We also get into the role of human connection in business (and why AI will never replace it), competing with yourself rather than comparing to others, and why self-care goes so much deeper than bubble baths. We talk about: Why clearing your mental load comes before any calendar hackHow to work with your natural energy rhythms instead of against themWhy your diary should be a "moving target" rather than rigid time-blocking. Abigail also shares her own non-negotiables for managing energy through perimenopause. 65 - Stop Deciding What Your Clients Can Afford: The Hidden Pricing Habit Keeping Self-Employed Women Undercharging

Still undercharging - but no one's actually asked you to? You might be making pricing decisions that aren't yours to make. In this episode, I talk about one of the most quietly damaging habits she sees in self-employed women: deciding what clients can afford before they've said a single word. It feels like kindness. But it's removing a choice that was never yours to make - and it's keeping you stuck. I unpack the three layers underneath this pattern - from the empathy that starts it, to the self-protection that sustains it, to the deeper belief that sits right at the root. I also reference my episode on the Expert Blind Spot (episode 64), exploring how our inability to see the true value of what we know is often directly connected to our reluctance to charge for it. This is a warm but honest episode for any woman who suspects she's been standing in her own way when it comes to pricing - and is ready to look at why. In this episode: What "deciding what your clients can afford" actually looks like in practiceThe three layers underneath this pattern - and which one is the hardest to look atWhy this habit feels like generosity but functions as self-protectionThe connection between undervaluing your knowledge and undercharging for your servicesWhat changes when you let your clients make their own financial decisionsThis episode is for you if: You're a self-employed woman in a service-based business who knows, deep down, that you're not charging what your work is worth - but haven't quite been able to pin down why. 64 - The Expert Blind Spot: Why Self-Employed Women Undervalue Their Knowledge (And How to Stop)

The thing you nearly didn't say because it felt too obvious? That might be the most valuable thing you know. In this episode, I explore the expert blind spot - what happens when you've been living inside your knowledge so long you can no longer see its value. The closer you are to your own expertise, the harder it is to believe it's worth sharing. This episode is here to change that. In this episode: What the expert blind spot is and why expertise makes it worse, not betterWhy the "obvious" stuff is often the most transformative thing you can shareWhat the blind spot does to your content, your marketing, and your pricingThe difference between trying to impress and trying to meet someone where they areA practical invitation to share the thing you nearly talked yourself out ofThis episode is for you if: You're a knowledgeable, experienced woman running a service-based business who often second-guesses the value of what you know - and finds it hard to talk about your work with the confidence it deserves. 63 - The Reactive Business Trap: Why Busy Self-Employed Women Feel Stuck, Stressed & Always Behind

Busy but not moving forward? Always responding, never quite directing? That's the reactive business trap - and it's not just a productivity problem. It's a nervous system problem. In this episode, I unpack why constantly operating in reactive mode quietly dysregulates you - and what shifts when you choose, even in small ways, to get back in the driving seat of your business. In this episode: What the reactive business trap actually looks like in everyday lifeWhy it affects how you feel, not just what you achieveThe connection between forward motion, agency, and nervous system regulationWhy reactive mode is especially common for women who are natural helpers and giversA simple reframe to help you notice when you've slipped into reaction - and gently move out of itThis episode is for you if: You're a self-employed woman running a passion-led, service-based business and you often feel like you're working hard but getting nowhere. You care deeply about what you do - but the business side leaves you feeling flat, behind, or vaguely anxious, even when things are technically going fine.
