    Receiving Love is Hard

    On today's episode I discuss a small portion of God's love and how it not only is complex, but it is also simple. The greatest act of love is Jesus dying on the cross for us and for our sins. His love not only dies for us, but He also covers us when we have shame or guilt. His love does not leave us where we are. His love calls us higher. We have to trust in Him and who He is in order to receive His love, correctly. This is a process that which will take our entire lives to understand, as He is perfect. Receiving God's love is not easy because it requires us to understand that we cannot and will never be able to repay Him. His work on the cross is and was and always will be complete. Works will not get us to Him. Our hope and faith and trust in Him is the only way we can come to Him. His love will always outweigh any aspect of giving we do in return.In this episode, I discuss how during wedding season, my community rallied behind my husband and I and made in incredible, in just 6 weeks! Thank you, Jesus! He gives and gives even when He does not need to give more. He loves us so much it's not easy to comprehend at times. Our lack of comprehension does not negate the power and amount of love He has for us.     My Testimony of How I found Jesus

    This is an updated testimonial of when I found Jesus.Now that I am married, I wanted to have a focal point of the redemption Jesus had on my desires as a young girl. I was lost and yearning for deep affection and I placed that yearning in the wrong hands for most of my life. Upon finding Jesus, everything about my story of abusing alcohol, dressing promiscuously, numbing with alcohol and drugs, idolizing men and physical fitness, all had no meaning anymore. My life became His life and through sanctification, I've been able to maintain a godly relationship to my now husband. This is a journey I am honored to share because it all points to the power of surrendering your life to Jesus and allowing Him to reign as King in my life. It is only through Him that I can be anything.     Waiting Season Part 2: While You Wait, What Do You Do

    This is Part 2 of the Waiting Season Series In this episode, you'll hear suggestions on how to steward the waiting season well. While you're waiting for God to answer your prayers, to bless you, to do a miracle, do not sidle idle. Prepare your heart, guard your heart and praise Him for what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do!The Waiting Season prepares you with patience, endurance, and an appreciation for the Lord like no other. It is through the waiting that you learn that every good and perfect gift is from above.     Pt 1: The Waiting Season: Defined

    What do you mean I have to wait to have what I want?In the walk with Christ, we submit under His lordship and follow His perfect will and timing. This means that we submit ourselves to when He wants for us to have the gift we so desire. He gives us desires of our hearts and it is up to us to align ourselves with His timing of this.In this episode I contrast the differences between what the world says about getting what you want and what God's Word says. We're always in a waiting season - waiting for the next.     The Secret Place

    Ep 43: The Gift of Repentance

    Thank you Lyssteners for tuning in! This week I delve into what repentance is by definition, how to apply it, and some scriptural evidence of how amazing it is. So often, we believe that by knowing we've sinned that must mean we've taken accountability. Repentance shows us that it is a not only acknowledgment of our wrongdoing, but a complete turn to God.
