    Here Comes The Bride

Here Comes The Bride Series: Genesis Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 4th October 2026 Passage: Genesis 2:18-25 ------------------- So much about human sexuality and marriage is distorted in our day and age. The truth is that it’s been distorted ever since the first sin in Genesis 3. But in this text, we see the glory of what God intended for man and woman. In the previous text, we looked especially at the first man and his role as prophet, priest, and king in God’s Garden. Here, we find the glory of the first woman, specially created to complement the man and glorify God with him. When we consider the two passages together, we find that God’s very good design for human flourishing is the covenantal union of a man and woman who are equal in dignity while distinct in person and function.

    The Gospel In The Garden

The Gospel In The Garden Series: Genesis Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 27th September 2026 Passage: Genesis 2:4-17 ------------------- Adam is presented as the covenant head of the human race. God specially formed him and gave him life. Then God placed him in a bountiful garden-temple in which he, his wife, and his offspring could enjoy that life in covenant communion with the Lord God. The blessings of these verses were to come to the rest of humanity through the mediatorial work of the first man. Why is this important? The text is here to prepare us for a greater Adam, Jesus Christ, who will restore and secure the covenant blessings of life for His people by succeeding in every way that the first Adam failed. In other words, this is the gospel in the garden.

    God's Holy Day

God's Holy Day Series: Genesis Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 20th September 2026 Passage: Genesis 2:1-3 ------------------- The seventh day of the creation narrative is loaded with more significance than you might imagine. It’s written so as to stand out amongst the other creation days. Everything about it is distinct from the other six days. Above all, the significance of the seventh day rests on the fact that God Himself blessed and hallowed it as a pattern to be followed by His image-bearers. It is God’s holy day, and it would be both a tremendous loss and serious sin to disregard it. I want to show you how on the seventh day of creation, God set forth a pattern of life for us that is spiritually fruitful and embedded with gospel significance.

    Made In His Image

Made In His Image Series: Genesis Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 13th September 2026 Passage: Genesis 1:26-31 ------------------- Much of what we will consider in the coming weeks has to do with what it means to be human. God’s good design for human flourishing will be expounded upon in chapter two while chapter three records how it all went wrong. Our text today lays an essential foundation for what comes next, and the emphasis is on the uniqueness of humanity in God’s creation. That we are made in God’s image is fundamental to understanding what it means to be human, and it must be celebrated and honored as God’s very good design.

    God's Very Good Creation

God's Very Good Creation Series: Genesis Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 6th September 2026 Passage: Genesis 1:3-31 ------------------- The purpose of Genesis 1, then, is to exalt the one, true Creator-God and to provoke our unending worship. It’s rather a shame that we can so often spend our time arguing over matters that are peripheral to the text when its intent is to draw us into wonder and amazement at the God who created all that is. Moses is informing our minds so that God’s truth might stir our affections toward Him. Our study of Genesis 1 should always lead us to exclaim, “How great Thou art!”

    A Mere Breath

A Mere Breath Series: Psalms Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 23rd August 2026 Passage: Psalm 39:1-13 ------------------- The brevity of life and its implications are the dominant theme of this song, but the brevity and vanity of human life does not mean we are without hope. Yes, our mortality is a serious problem that we cannot change, but it is not a problem for God! David does not only lament this issue; he points us to the solution.

Wisdom For When The Wicked Are Winning

Wisdom For When The Wicked Are Winning Series: Psalms Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 2nd August 2026 Passage: Psalm 37:1-40 ------------------- Psalm 36 concluded with a provocative vision of the end of the wicked: "There [Look!] the evildoers lie fallen; they are thrust down, unable to rise" (36:12). Psalm 37 is written to concerned believers who look around and see none of that happening. In their view, the wicked often seem to be winning. David's wisdom reveals four crucial responses for such situations.

    The Love Of God

The Love Of God Series: Psalms Preacher: Jared Blankenship Date: 26th July 2026 Passage: Psalm 36:1-12 ------------------- In Psalm 36, David writes his own beautiful ballad of God’s incomprehensible love. It’s a psalm intended for corporate worship from its very inception. It was sent to Israel’s choirmaster by “the servant of the LORD,” a title teeming with Messianic significance, so that God’s people would always sing of God’s saving love displayed in the work of his promised King.
