    Season 2 EP4: P.R.I.D.E. - Rebellion

In this powerful continuation of Season 2, we dive deeper into the concept of dross, the unwanted, impure material God desires to remove from His people, and examine one of its most dangerous forms: rebellion. Building on previous episodes, Mel revisits the biblical connection between dross and wickedness, walking through key passages from Psalms and Proverbs to reveal how hidden impurities can disguise what's really in our hearts. Through the imagery of a vessel covered in "silver dross," we explore how outward appearances can mask inward deception, and why God is committed to exposing what lies beneath.   Scriptures in this episode: Proverbs 27:17 (iron sharpens iron) Psalm 119:119–120 (discard the wicked like dross) Proverbs 25:4–5 (enough material to make a vessel) Proverbs 26:22-26 (deception and revealing wickedness) Proverbs 26:23 (KJV/NKJV potsherd covered with silver dross) 1 Samuel 8 (Israel demands a king) 1 Samuel 15:17–23 (focus on verse 22: rebellion is as the sin of divination) Luke 9:23 (what it takes to follow Jesus) Exodus 22:18 &  Leviticus 20:27 (punishment for sorcery) Leviticus 20:26 (be holy for He is holy) Galatians 5:19–21 (will not inherit the kingdom of God) 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (test everything) 1 John 4:1 (test the spirits) Colossians 3:22–24 (work heartily for the Lord) 1 John 5:1–3 (how we show God love) Matthew 22:37–40 (the greatest commandment) Isaiah 30:1–2 (consult God) Psalm 119:60 (obey without delay) James 4:17 (what is sin) John 16:8 (Holy Spirit will convict the world concerning sin) Hebrews 12:1 (lay aside every weight) Isaiah 54:17 (no weapon formed against you shall prosper)   Connect with us! Season 2 EP3: P.R.I.D.E. - Pride

In this deeply personal episode of Holy to YHWH Movement: The Pod, Mel continues the journey of sanctification by tackling a heavy but necessary topic of pride. As part of  the acronym "P.R.I.D.E.", this episode breaks down the first letter "P" for pride and how it operates as spiritual dross, an unwanted weight that hinders our walk with Christ. Through Scripture, real-life stories, and transparent self-reflection, Mel exposes how pride can subtly take root in our thoughts, attitudes, and even our "good" intentions.   Study Resources: Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble: https://www.thebiblerecap.com/start Awe of God by John Bevere: https://johnbevere.com/aweofgod/   Scriptures mentioned in this Episode: Psalm 119:119-120 – Discard the wicked like dross Proverbs 25:4-5 – Take away the dross from the silver and the smith has enough material for a vessel 1 Peter 2:9 – Out of darkness into His marvelous light Leviticus 11:44, 19:2, and 1 Peter 1:16 – Be holy for I am Holy Hebrews 12:1 - Lay aside every weight and sin Ephesians 5:27 – Spotless bride 2 Corinthians 12:9 – God's grace Job 38-41 (Job 39:1-3, 41:33-34) – God's character, Leviathan is king of all the sons of pride Judges 17:6 and 21:25 – They did what was right in their own eyes Proverbs 14:12 and 16:15 – Leads to death Proverbs 3:3-7 – Be not wise in your own eyes Ecclesiastes 1:1, 12:6-7, 13-14 – Vanities of vanity James 4:6-10 – God opposes the proud 1 Peter 5:1-11 – Shepherding the flock Luke 9:13-25 (BSB version) – Must deny ourselves Matthew 22:37-40, and Mark 12:29-3 – Love God first and love others Philippians 2:3-8 – count everyone as more significant than yourself   Connect with us!  Write to Mel at contactus@holytoyhwhmovement.com Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/holytoyhwhmovement/ Join the Movement! https://holytoyhwhmovement.com/pages/join-the-holy-to-yhwh-movement

Season 2 EP2 Dross: The Weight We Wear

This episode goes there! Mel and first-time guest Abi (chemist + powerhouse woman of God) break down "dross"—the weight we wear. Through both Scripture and chemistry, they reveal a hard truth: you can be saved and still be mixed. Just like silver, God puts us through a refining process, where the heat rises, the pressure builds, and suddenly the things we didn't even know were in us start surfacing. That's not failure, it's exposure for removal.  The fire of refinement isn't meant to destroy you; it's meant to reveal the real you, who Christ intended you to be. So, if something's been coming up lately, old habits, pride, wrong thinking, don't ignore it. That's the dross rising. And this season? We are going to expose the dross that weighs us down. Let's go deeper by soaring higher!  Scriptures referenced in this episode:  1 John 1:1-4 & John 1:1-18 (Jesus is the Word) Isaiah 60:21-22 (children are nations) Psalm 119:119-120 (Discard like dross) Ecclesiastes 5:2 (Let your words be few) Romans 1:18-32 (God gave them up to their passions) Psalm 139:13 (He formed us in our mother's womb) Romans 12:1-2 (Renew our minds) Psalm 66:10 (tested and tried like silver) 1 Peter 1:3-25, 1 Peter 4:12-19 (Firey trials) Psalm 118 & 136 (God is good) Philippians 2:13 (God works in us) Hebrews 12:1-2 (lay aside every weight) Isaiah 40: 28-31 (wings like eagles) Ephesians 4:24 (new creation in the likeness of God) Galatians 2:20 (Jesus loves us and gave Himself for us) Matthew 18:10-14 & Luke 15:1-7 (leaves the 99 for the one) Luke 9:23 (deny the flesh) Connect with us!  Write to Mel at contactus@holytoyhwhmovement.com Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/holytoyhwhmovement/ Join the Movement! https://holytoyhwhmovement.com/pages/join-the-holy-to-yhwh-movement

    Testify

Welcome to another installment of Holy to YHWH Movement the Pod. This week, we dive into a deeply personal and transformative journey of faith in Episode 8, aptly titled Testify. Through Mel's story and Scripture, we explore the profound shift from walking in darkness to stepping fully into His marvelous light, from a drifting faith in 1996 to a lukewarm return, and finally, the life-changing breakthroughs of 2023. We also examine the delicate metaphor of the eye as the lamp of the body (Luke 11:33-36) and the moments when darkness threatens to seep in. How do we guard against this? How can we escape when temptation overtakes us? Drawing from Joseph's story in Genesis 39 and the promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13, we reveal the keys to walking in the light as children of God. Finally, we're reminded that God separates light from darkness, as in creation itself, and calls us to a life of righteousness. Through passages like John 8:12, Ephesians 5, and 1 John 1:5-10, we hear a resounding call: to be imitators of Christ and to reject the ways of the world. Join us to hear Mel's story, biblical insights, and encouragement that will inspire you to always walk in His marvelous light. Scriptures mentioned in this episode: 1 Peter 2:9-10 Genesis 1:2, 4, 5, 18 Luke 11:33-36 Genesis 3:5-7 1 Corinthians 10:13 Genesis 39:6-20 Romans 8:1 John 8:12 John 12:35 Ephesians 5:1-11 1 John 1:5-10 1 John 3:9-10 Let's Connect!
