In this episode, Mel goes there! Addressing an area we often overlook: the elevation of self. This episode explores how deeply "self" shows up in our desires, decisions, ambitions, and even our service to God. Jesus tells those who desire to follow Him to deny themselves. On the surface, that may sound simple, but what if the enemy has been using self to keep us from fully surrendering to God? Season 2 EP6: P.R.I.D.E. - Division

In this episode of Holy to YHWH Movement, the Pod, we tackle the often-overlooked issue of division in the Body of Christ. More than a simple disagreement, division is revealed as a spiritual warfare tactic designed to weaken, scatter, and distract the Body of Christ from its God-given mission. Through Scripture, military strategy, and biblical examples, we explore how the enemy uses division and deception to weaken believers, scatter the church, and distract us from our Kingdom assignment. From Jesus' warning that a house divided cannot stand to Paul's call for unity, this episode challenges us to recognize the subtle ways division can take root in our hearts, conversations, and communities.   Through passages from Ephesians, Corinthians, Romans, Peter, and the prayer of Jesus in John 17, we discover how believers are called to stand firm in spiritual warfare by pursuing peace, guarding against division, and remaining unified through the Holy Spirit. This episode is a call to lay aside the dross of division, refuse the enemy's bait, and embrace our role as one Body in Christ—equipped for battle, united in purpose, and empowered to advance the Kingdom of God together.   Scripture References in Order of Appearance Psalm 119:119–120 — God discards the wicked of the earth like dross. Season 2 EP5: P.R.I.D.E. - Idolatry

What has your attention, affection, and devotion? In this episode of Holy to YHWH Movement, the Pod, Mel continues the Season 2 conversation on dross by exploring the often-overlooked issue of idolatry. Through Scripture, personal testimony, and practical reflection, you'll discover that idols aren't always statues or carved images; they can be anything that captures our hearts, focus, and loyalty more than Christ. Together, we'll examine God's heart for His people, why He calls Himself a jealous God, and how idolatry can quietly hinder our intimacy with Him. As part of the ongoing P.R.I.D.E. series, Mel unpacks why the "I" in P.R.I.D.E. is Idolatry, and what we must replace it with. If you've ever struggled to surrender a habit, possession, ambition, or relationship to God, this episode will challenge and encourage you to make room for Jesus, lay aside every weight, and allow Him to refine the dross from your heart.   WELCOME to the family! Season 2 EP4: P.R.I.D.E. - Rebellion

In this powerful continuation of Season 2, we dive deeper into the concept of dross, the unwanted, impure material God desires to remove from His people, and examine one of its most dangerous forms: rebellion. Building on previous episodes, Mel revisits the biblical connection between dross and wickedness, walking through key passages from Psalms and Proverbs to reveal how hidden impurities can disguise what's really in our hearts. Through the imagery of a vessel covered in "silver dross," we explore how outward appearances can mask inward deception, and why God is committed to exposing what lies beneath.   Scriptures in this episode: Proverbs 27:17 (iron sharpens iron) Psalm 119:119–120 (discard the wicked like dross) Proverbs 25:4–5 (enough material to make a vessel) Proverbs 26:22-26 (deception and revealing wickedness) Proverbs 26:23 (KJV/NKJV potsherd covered with silver dross) 1 Samuel 8 (Israel demands a king) 1 Samuel 15:17–23 (focus on verse 22: rebellion is as the sin of divination) Luke 9:23 (what it takes to follow Jesus) Exodus 22:18 &  Leviticus 20:27 (punishment for sorcery) Leviticus 20:26 (be holy for He is holy) Galatians 5:19–21 (will not inherit the kingdom of God) 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (test everything) 1 John 4:1 (test the spirits) Colossians 3:22–24 (work heartily for the Lord) 1 John 5:1–3 (how we show God love) Matthew 22:37–40 (the greatest commandment) Isaiah 30:1–2 (consult God) Psalm 119:60 (obey without delay) James 4:17 (what is sin) John 16:8 (Holy Spirit will convict the world concerning sin) Hebrews 12:1 (lay aside every weight) Isaiah 54:17 (no weapon formed against you shall prosper)   Connect with us! Season 2 EP2 Dross: The Weight We Wear

This episode goes there! Mel and first-time guest Abi (chemist + powerhouse woman of God) break down "dross"—the weight we wear. Through both Scripture and chemistry, they reveal a hard truth: you can be saved and still be mixed. Just like silver, God puts us through a refining process, where the heat rises, the pressure builds, and suddenly the things we didn't even know were in us start surfacing. That's not failure, it's exposure for removal.  The fire of refinement isn't meant to destroy you; it's meant to reveal the real you, who Christ intended you to be. So, if something's been coming up lately, old habits, pride, wrong thinking, don't ignore it. That's the dross rising. And this season? We are going to expose the dross that weighs us down. Let's go deeper by soaring higher!  Scriptures referenced in this episode:  1 John 1:1-4 & John 1:1-18 (Jesus is the Word) Isaiah 60:21-22 (children are nations) Psalm 119:119-120 (Discard like dross) Ecclesiastes 5:2 (Let your words be few) Romans 1:18-32 (God gave them up to their passions) Psalm 139:13 (He formed us in our mother's womb) Romans 12:1-2 (Renew our minds) Psalm 66:10 (tested and tried like silver) 1 Peter 1:3-25, 1 Peter 4:12-19 (Firey trials) Psalm 118 & 136 (God is good) Philippians 2:13 (God works in us) Hebrews 12:1-2 (lay aside every weight) Isaiah 40: 28-31 (wings like eagles) Ephesians 4:24 (new creation in the likeness of God) Galatians 2:20 (Jesus loves us and gave Himself for us) Matthew 18:10-14 & Luke 15:1-7 (leaves the 99 for the one) Luke 9:23 (deny the flesh) Connect with us!  Write to Mel at contactus@holytoyhwhmovement.com Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/holytoyhwhmovement/ Join the Movement! https://holytoyhwhmovement.com/pages/join-the-holy-to-yhwh-movement
