    Self And Work (Part 2)

Welcome back to the Watchmaidens Youth Podcast! In this episode, titled "Self And Work (Part 2)", we continue our deep dive into what it truly means to align our daily labour with divine purpose alongside speaker Dotrup Odum. Together, we examine how the enemy attempts to turn our focus inward by tempting us to fill our own pockets before advancing God’s Kingdom, effectively reversing the order of Matthew 6:33. We contrast "poor work"—which leaves us spiritually broken and drained despite worldly success—with "rich work," where our labour becomes a joyful partnership in God's divine family business. Drawing from our anchor text in Genesis 12:1 (MSG), we look at the powerful pace set by Father Abraham, who stepped out in unreserved obedience long before seeing his wealth multiplied. In this episode, we explore: The Self-First Trap: How prioritising personal security over Kingdom service traps us in the world's rat race.Lessons from Abraham: Why stepping out in faith before seeing financial guarantees exercises our faith muscles and pleases God.Rich Work vs. Poor Work: Why working outside God's divine purpose drains the spirit, while true faith remains the primary work required of us.A Family Business Privilege: Shifting our mindset to see Kingdom service not as a heavy burden, but as a high privilege to serve humanity with God.Join us as we snap out of the enemy's lies, recalibrate our priorities, and embrace the rich work God has customised for each of us! Anchor Scripture: "God told Abram: 'Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land I will show you.'" — Genesis 12:1 (MSG) Full Transcript here.

The devil's lies About Work (Part 3)

In this episode of the Watchmaidens Youth Podcast, we expose one of the enemy's most subtle weapons against our divine destiny: delay tactics. Continuing our journey through the book The Rich Work and the Poor Walk by Watchmaidens Ministry International, we uncover how Satan uses laziness, procrastination, excuses, and discouragement to keep us comfortable with nonproductivity. In this episode, we discuss: Unmasking Delay Tactics: How slothfulness, fear, and excuses trap us in cycles of stagnation.Rethinking Passive Prayers: Why praying for the earth to "work for you" violates spiritual principles, and why we must actively cultivate the earth to yield results. The True Purpose of Deliverance: How engaging in "rich work" sustains our victory over sin and Egypt-like bondage.Confronting Fear & Generational Limits: Why taking bold action exposes underlying insecurities and releases the courage to move forward.Grounded in Hosea 4:6a ("My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"), we invite you to dismantle the enemy’s lies, align with God’s original agenda for work, and step into true productivity, wealth, and kingdom purpose. The devil's Lies About Work (Part 1)

In this episode of the WatchMaidens Youth Podcast, we begin a new study on “The devil’s Lies About Work.” We explore how the enemy can distort our understanding of work, productivity, opportunity and prosperity, leading to laziness, mediocrity, delay and stagnation. Using 1 Corinthians 16:9 as our anchor, we examine the spiritual opposition that can arise when we step into productive work and kingdom assignments. We reflect on the need to recognise the enemy’s tactics, remain grounded in Scripture, and respond through prayer, fasting and faith. This first part serves as an introduction to the lies we will unpack in the episodes ahead. We are reminded that every open door can come with opposition, but we do not have to surrender the blessings and opportunities God has placed before us. Read the transcript here.

Which kingdom are you building? In this concluding episode of our four-part series on Kingdom Advancement, we ask the ultimate question: Are you advancing God’s kingdom or your own? We discuss why we cannot coast on the spiritual victories of our mentors, diving into the powerful examples of extreme sacrifice from leaders like Pastor Adeboye and Bishop Oyedepo. Which Kingdom Am I Advancing?

In this episode of the Watchmaidens Youth Podcast, we continue our deep dive into the transformative series, "The Rich Work and the Poor Walk." Together, we explore a vital question for every believer: Which kingdom am I advancing? Drawing from our anchor verse, Matthew 6:33, Dotrup Odum identifies the "litmus test" for determining whether our daily efforts qualify as "rich work", work that advances God’s kingdom or "poor work" that merely serves our own interests. We discuss three unmistakable signs of a life aligned with God's heavenly agenda: Blessings That Chase You: Understanding how miracles and provision follow those who prioritise the Kingdom.A Shift in Focus: Learning to be so consumed by God’s work that the rewards are no longer our primary motivation.A Burning Passion for Souls: Aligning our hearts with God’s number one priority, the salvation and establishment of men.We also challenge the concept of "generational curses," reframing them as "generational ignorance" and encouraging a pursuit of divine financial wisdom. Finally, we reflect on the importance of following the spiritual stories and heart-encounters of our leaders rather than just their possessions. Join us as we analyse our motives and seek the light and peace that come from truly advancing God’s kingdom. Read the transcript here.
