    Manchester blues, the Seagulls cruise

The boys are back! After a little break while Rob was off travelling with work, Random Fandom Podcast returns with a good old-fashioned football catch-up. ⚽ This week, we're taking a random roundup of what's happening across the Premier League, starting in Manchester, where things are getting a little uncomfortable for both sides of the city. We look at the ongoing charges facing Manchester City and the struggles at Manchester United. Two clubs with very different problems, but plenty for football fans to talk about! We then turn our attention to Brighton, who have made a superb start to the season. Are the Seagulls flying under the radar, or could they be set for something special? From there, we take a whistle-stop tour through the Championship, League One, League Two, and the National League, checking in on the stories, surprises, and talking points from across the English football pyramid. And, of course, it wouldn't be Random Fandom without a bit of randomness. We finish by letting the supercomputer work its magic and picking three brand-new clubs for Rob and John to follow. Which teams have we been lumbered with this time? Will we find their biggest fan to tell us their story? And have we been handed a glorious adventure or a season of misery? Join us for football chat, honest opinions, a little rivalry, and plenty of fan-focused fun. Because at Random Fandom, every club has a story, and every fan has a journey. 👇 GET INVOLVED! If we’ve picked your team, we want to hear from you. Bournemouth, Wigan, and Aldershot...but which fan did we speak to?

This week on Random Fandom, our random football journey takes us from the Premier League to League One and the National League as we follow Bournemouth, Wigan, and Aldershot Town. We spent the week keeping an eye on all three clubs, following their results and finding out what life looks like from the perspective of fans supporting teams at very different levels of English football. The highlight of this week's episode is our chat with Bruce, who joins us to share his story as an Aldershot Town fan. We find out how Bruce first became a supporter of the Shots, the highest high he has experienced following the club, and the lowest low that every football fan knows can be just around the corner. He also gives us his thoughts on the current season and what he thinks lies ahead for Aldershot Town. This is another reminder of what Random Fandom is all about: football isn't just about trophies, transfer fees, and headlines. It's about the fans, the memories, the heartbreak, and the stories that keep us coming back every week. We also pick out the next three teams for us to follow and hopefully find a fan to come on and share their story. Random Fandom Podcast – Football stories from the fan perspective. New Season. New Teams. Same Random Fandom Chaos.

A new season is here, and Random Fandom is back for another season of football, questionable predictions, random teams and the all-important question: will our support prove to be a blessing or a curse? We kick things off with a look at the season ahead, as Rob & John give their thoughts on the Premier League. Rob is doing his best to resist the temptation to simply declare Arsenal favorites, while John takes a slightly more realistic view of Liverpool’s chances. We then work our way through the rest of the Premier League, looking at the teams who could be challenging at the top, those fighting for Europe, the potential surprises and who might be looking nervously over their shoulders at the wrong end of the table. We also kick off this season’s Fantasy League before getting to the part that really matters — the first random teams of Season 4! Our first three teams are Wigan Athletic, Bournemouth and Aldershot Town, giving us a brilliant mix from the Premier League, League 1 and the National League. Wigan start at home against Leyton Orient, while Aldershot face a tricky trip to Kidderminster. And Bournemouth? They couldn't have been handed a much tougher opening assignment, heading to Manchester City. As always, we'll follow all three teams throughout the week, keep a close eye on their results and see whether Random Fandom can work its usual magic… or whether our support turns out to be an absolute disaster. But there's one thing we need from you. Are you a Wigan Athletic, Bournemouth or Aldershot Town fan? Or do you know someone who is? We want to hear your story — how you found your team, your highest high, your lowest low, your favorite players, your funniest memories and everything that makes supporting your club special.
