“Does Your Mind Still Live There?”

Send us Fan Mail You can leave a place, a person, or a season and still be living there in your mind. We’re digging into that exhausting gap between physical freedom and emotional attachment, where you’ve “closed the book” but your thoughts keep flipping back to the same pages. If you’ve felt foggy in conversations, heavy in your mood, or quietly pulled back into old memories, you’re not alone, and you’re not broken. We talk honestly about how the past can stunt your growth and steal your presence, even years later. We also name a tough truth: unhealed pain doesn’t stay contained. It shows up as baggage in new relationships, sudden arguments, misplaced reactions, and that feeling that you can’t fully move forward even when your life has changed. Along the way, we bring faith-based encouragement, practical mindset shifts, and the reminder that healing is not pretending it didn’t happen, it’s refusing to let it occupy your future. We keep coming back to one turning point question: do you really want to move forward? When you hit that “sick and tired of being sick and tired” moment, you can make more than a physical exit you can make an emotional departure too. You are worth fighting for you, and you deserve better than being held captive by yesterday. If this spoke to you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs a push, and leave a review telling us what step forward you’re taking next. Please like, share & subscribe. Support the show

    “Surviving Sexual Abuse”

Send us Fan Mail Sexual abuse tries to steal more than a moment. It tries to steal your voice, your trust, your sense of safety, and your belief that your life can still mean something. We sit with that reality honestly, and we also say something just as plainly: if you survived, there is purpose in your survival. Not because what happened was acceptable, but because your story is not finished. We talk about what it feels like to come out of a traumatic sexual violation and still feel trapped in shame or darkness, and why it can be hard to believe God is present after something so painful. We name the questions many people carry in silence, including the spiritual doubts that trauma can trigger, and we share hope for healing from sexual abuse that does not require you to pretend you’re fine. We also speak to anyone who “made it through” but has never really processed what happened, and we offer language for beginning that recovery. Then we get practical. We discuss the reality that abuse often comes from someone you know, why that makes trust complicated, and how wisdom and boundaries can protect you going forward. We encourage you to use your voice, stop burying the experience, find a safe space, and consider therapy or Christian counseling if that support fits your needs. We also talk about journaling as a trauma recovery tool, turning words into prayer, and taking your healing one step at a time until peace starts to return. If this conversation helps you feel seen, subscribe to Sweet Fire the Podcast, share this with someone who needs hope, and leave a review so more survivors can find it. “Touched Where I Didn’t Want 2 Be Touched”

Send us Fan Mail Over 90% of sexual abuse is committed by someone the victim knows, and that single statistic forces a painful rethink of what “safe” really means. We sit with the reality that offenders are often familiar faces, trusted adults, relatives, and even friends, and we talk plainly about how trust can be used as a weapon. If you’ve ever wondered why harm can happen in “good” families or close communities, this conversation names what many people avoid saying out loud. We also dig into why so little sexual abuse gets reported, and what silence can do over time. Reporting is not just a legal step; it can be a turning point that interrupts repeated violations, brings accountability, and opens the door for victims to finally get support. We talk about the responsibility adults carry to protect children, limit access behind closed doors, recognize grooming, and stay alert even when someone appears normal, charming, or “like family.” From childhood trauma and long-term emotional fallout to practical boundaries for single women and online dating safety, we connect the dots between awareness and action. We also acknowledge the heavy aftermath that can follow sexual violence, including pregnancy from abuse and suicidal ideation, and why real healing requires help, truth, and protection. “Child Molestation Warning Signs”

Send us Fan Mail Someone can look trustworthy and still be dangerous, and kids often carry the truth alone. We sit with a hard subject: children being touched in ways they never wanted, and the quiet fear that keeps so many from telling an adult. We talk plainly about why disclosure is hard, how threats and shame work, and why our job as caregivers is to create safety that does not depend on a child being “brave enough” at the right moment.  We also unpack a key insight: many offenders can control themselves when it benefits them, then choose not to when they think no one will notice. That reality changes how we think about “good character,” familiar faces, and the false comfort of, “They would never.” From there we move into prevention and protective parenting: limiting unsupervised access, refusing secrecy, paying attention to behavior changes, and taking every concern seriously, even when it feels uncomfortable.  Late-night risk is another major theme, including the 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. window when supervision drops and opportunity rises. We connect that to real-world boundaries for teens, sleepovers, and hanging out after hours, plus the danger of careless choices like quickly bringing new partners into the home or introducing strangers as family. We close with a real text message that hits like a warning bell, reminding us to check what is happening behind closed doors and to cover our children with consistent attention and wise limits.  If this conversation helps you, subscribe, share it with a parent or caregiver, and leave a review so more families can find it. “We Need 2 Stop It”

Send us Fan Mail You can dress up the truth with perfect words, but your eyes keep the real story on display. We start with a simple claim that hits hard: it is possible to lie with your mouth, but not with your eyes. From there, we unpack what the gaze can reveal about the soul, and we even touch the ancient Hebrew word “Nephesh,” pointing to the soul as your life and self, not just a religious idea. When we call the soul a room and the eyes a window, we are talking about discernment you can actually use in daily life, in friendships, in dating, and in family relationships.  We also talk about the “light” or “darkness” you can sense in someone’s eyes, and why being intentional about who you stay connected to matters. The people around you shape you over time, and what is hidden eventually shows up. We go deeper into how what we witness with our own eyes can be intrusive and damaging, leaving marks that show up later as reactions, patterns, and pain we never named out loud.  Then the conversation turns urgent: children. Kids are sponges, and their eyes often speak when their mouths do not. We share why teachers and counselors sometimes catch what families miss, simply by noticing what is happening behind a child’s eyes. From there, we connect the dots to “portals,” spiritual warfare, and the dangers of exposing children to sexualized music, TV, and adult behavior that should never be normalized as cute or funny.  If you care about spiritual discernment, faith-based parenting, and protecting children from harmful media exposure, press play, then subscribe, share this with a parent or mentor, and leave a review so more listeners can find Sweet Fire the Podcast. “The Unseen is Really Seen” A Necessary Rebroadcast

Send us Fan Mail You can be surrounded by people, praised for your leadership, and still feel painfully alone inside. That’s the tension we sit with today: the internal noise of unwanted thoughts and undesired feelings that never seems to turn down, even when your life looks “together” on the outside. We speak directly to leaders who carry pressure at home, at work, in ministry, and in their communities and who quietly wonder why they still struggle to believe their worth.  We unpack how hidden inner struggles grow in the dark, why so many of us don’t feel safe admitting what we’re battling, and what it costs when we keep masking the pain. We also talk about the real-world ways internal noise can push people toward unhealthy escapes and coping habits, and why naming the struggle is not weakness, it’s wisdom. If you’ve ever felt like you’re leading others while fighting a private war in your own mind, you’ll recognize yourself here.  Most importantly, we offer a path forward. We talk about facing “it” head on, bringing what’s hidden into the light so healing can begin, and finding a safe space with someone you trust. If you don’t have that person yet, we share simple practices you can start today, including journaling and prayer, to steady your mind and begin rebuilding confidence. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a leader you care about, and leave a review so more people can find support when the room is quiet but their mind is loud. “Character, Capacity & Calling”

Send us Fan Mail A door can swing wide open and still not be safe for you if your character is unprepared. We sit down and talk about the weight that follows every real purpose: the weight of your character, the weight of your capacity, and the weight of your calling. If you’ve ever felt pulled by opportunity but pressured by the process, this conversation puts language to what’s happening inside you while life is shaping you. We unpack why character is more than behavior, it’s intent, motive, and what you truly value. We also connect the dots between character and capacity, because emotional depth and endurance are what keep you steady when the road is uphill. Calling is not just a destination, it’s a responsibility, and the equipping process can feel uncomfortable, slow, and stretching. We share why trusting God in the shaping season matters, especially when the “birds aren’t singing” and you’re still expected to keep moving. Then we get practical about discernment and protecting your gates. What you watch, listen to, and allow into your conversations can build you or break you, and the same goes for the connections you choose. Not every group, ministry, or relationship is equipped to carry what you’re called to carry, and wisdom means guarding your portals so your future stays intact. If you’re serious about purpose, integrity, and spiritual maturity, press play, then subscribe, share this with someone who’s building their life on solid character, and leave a review with your biggest takeaway.
