Today we're diving into sacral decision making (also called sacral authority in Human Design), the style that's all about trusting your body's immediate gut response. If you've been told to "think it through" when your body already knows the answer, or if you've ignored your gut and regretted it later, you'll want to hear this. I share how sacral authority works, why it's not about what you SAY but how your body responds before you speak, and how to discover your unique body signals. Plus, I tell the story of how I was unknowingly asking my daughter to respond twice—and what changed when I learned about her decision-making style. Key Takeaways: 1. If you're explaining or reasoning, you've already moved into your mind. Your body knows immediately. 2. Vague questions create vague answers. 3. Your body speaks its own language Some people lean forward (yes) or backward (no). Others make sounds like "uh-huh" or "mm-mm." Some nod or shake their heads before they realize they're doing it. Everyone's signals are different—discover yours. 4. Follow what lights you up This decision-making style is about joy and energy. What makes you feel expansive and alive? That's your yes. What makes you contract or feel heavy? That's your no. Trust it. 5. You can practice this all the time While sacral authority is powerful for big decisions, you can practice it daily. The more you tune into your body's responses, the stronger your connection becomes.     #49: How to Make Better Decisions When You Need Time to Process [Emotional Authority | Decision Making Series]

    If you've ever been told you take too long to make decisions, this episode will change everything. Today we're diving into emotional decision making (also called emotional authority in Human Design)—the style that roughly 50% of the population has. If you need time to process big decisions, if you've learned the hard way what happens when you decide from an emotional high or low, or if you've been pressured to "just decide already" when you know you're not ready—this episode is for you. I share the core principle of emotional decision making: riding the highs and lows of your emotions until you reach neutrality. I break down what neutrality actually feels like, why 80% clarity is enough, and how to navigate pressure from others who want faster answers. Key Takeaways:   1. Ride the waves, wait for neutral You must ride the highs and lows of your emotions before making a decision. Don't decide when you're feeling on top of the world OR in the depths. Wait until you feel neutral—a felt sense of detachment in your body. 2. Neutrality is a felt sense, not a thought Neutrality means you don't feel polarized in either direction. It's like having an observer lens—you can step back and say, "Okay, I can decide on that now." This happens in your BODY, not your mind. 3. Clarity comes over time, not in the moment If you have emotional authority, you are not meant to make decisions in the moment. Anyone pushing you to decide right now is asking you to decide against your design. Permission to take the time you need.  4. 80% certainty is your green light You won't ever feel 100% sure, even when you reach neutrality. If you feel 80% or more that this is a yes, then it's a yes. Waiting for 100% certainty will keep you stuck forever. 5. Not all decisions need this process Use emotional authority for "tattoo-level" decisions—big life choices like career changes, major moves, business decisions, significant relationships.
