    Stairway to Heaven - September 20, 2026

Join us for worship as we continue our walk through Genesis in "The Patriarchs" series! Opening to Genesis 28:10–22, this message—"Stairway to Heaven"—follows Jacob as he flees his home into the wilderness. Resting his head on a stone pillow, he experiences a remarkable vision of a stairway spanning heaven and earth, with angels ascending and descending upon it.Through this iconic passage, we see how the stairway points directly to Jesus Christ, who bridges the infinite gap between a holy God and sinful humanity. As God reiterates His covenant promises to Jacob, He offers an enduring guarantee that speaks to all believers: "I am with you and will keep you wherever you go." No matter what uncertainties, health struggles, or trials we face, our covenant-keeping God promises His abiding presence every step of the way. Finally, we consider Jacob’s awe-filled response as he consecrates the ground at Bethel and commits his life to the Lord. This powerful encounter challenges us to move beyond merely knowing facts about God to experiencing a personal, living relationship with Him. Tune in to be encouraged by God's unwavering faithfulness and refreshed in His presence!

    A Tale of Four Sinners - September 13, 2026

We continue our study through Genesis in "The Patriarchs" series! Opening to Genesis 27:1-45, this message—"A Tale of Four Sinners (and One Sovereign God)"—examines a family deeply divided by secret schemes, favored children, and outright deception. As Isaac tries to bypass God's word and Jacob pretends to be Esau, we see a vivid picture of how easily human hearts lean on worldly methods rather than trusting in God's promises.Throughout the sermon, we look at each character's flaws and learn vital lessons about faith and obedience. From Rebekah's attempt to justify bad means for a good end to Esau's dangerous, vengeful anger, Scripture reminds us that right goals never sanctify sinful actions. Yet above all human brokenness stands the Lord Almighty, who uses even our flawed choices to carry out His divine, unearned grace. Finally, we find deep encouragement in the absolute truth of God's providence. As Proverbs 19:21 tells us, many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. Tune in to be refreshed by the comforting assurance that no human scheme, mistake, or opposition can ever derail the good plans God has for His redeemed children!

    Sibling Rivalry - September 6, 2026

Join us as we continue our series through the Patriarchs! Opening to Genesis 25:19-34, this message delves into the story of Jacob and Esau, exploring the deep-seated sibling rivalry and family division that began even before their birth. Through the long twenty-year season of waiting for Isaac and Rebekah, we are reminded of God’s perfect timing and His unwavering faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises. In this passage, we examine the doctrine of sovereign election and what it means for our daily faith. As Paul highlights in Romans 9, God chose Jacob over Esau before either had done anything good or bad, demonstrating that His salvation rests entirely on His sovereign call rather than human merit or cultural traditions. We are challenged to look past our own self-reliance and rest fully in the unmerited grace of God.Finally, the sermon confronts the danger of despising our spiritual blessings for temporary earthly satisfaction. Looking at Esau’s reckless decision to trade his birthright for a single bowl of stew, we are reminded of the foolishness of prioritizing immediate desires over eternal promises. Tune in to be encouraged, refreshed, and grounded in the blessed assurance of God’s secure, sovereign love!

    A Life of Prayer - Jeff Bartholomay - August 30, 2026

Guest preacher, Jeff Bartholomay from Christ Proclamation Church in Windsor, CT, brings a powerful message from Luke 18:1-14 titled "A Life of Prayer." Drawing inspiration from the life of George Mueller. A man whose 70 years of ministry were marked by over 50,000 recorded answers to prayer. We will explore what it truly means to live a life devoted to humble, unceasing intercession even when times are difficult. In this passage, Jesus confronts both the temptation to give up when answers seem delayed and the subtle danger of self-righteous pride. Through the parable of the persistent widow and the Pharisee and the tax collector, we are called to evaluate the posture of our own hearts. Real prayer is not about putting on a performance or relying on our own goodness; it stems from a heart brought low before God, resting completely in the grace and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ.Whether you are seeking encouragement in unanswered prayer or desiring a deeper, more consistent prayer life, this sermon offers practical wisdom for your daily walk with God. Tune in to discover how persistent faith and humble reliance on Christ can transform your relationship with the Father and keep you from losing heart!

    God Will Provide a Way - August 23, 2026

While God stayed Abraham’s hand and provided a ram in the thicket, He did not spare His own Son. No Laughing Matter - August 16, 2026

Is anything too hard for God? Abraham and Sarah were promised a child when they were far beyond the age of having children—and their first response was laughter. In this sermon from Genesis 17–18, we explore what their laughter reveals about faith, God's promises, and trusting Him when what He says seems impossible.Abraham also learns that faith means more than believing God's promises—it means trusting God's wisdom when His answer to prayer is “no” and obeying Him immediately when He commands. Through Abraham's response to God's covenant and his prayer concerning Ishmael, we see how genuine faith and obedience go hand-in-hand, even when God's plans differ from our own.Sarah ultimately joins Abraham in believing the promise of God, and Hebrews 11:11 reminds us that she considered God faithful who had promised. This message challenges us to trust the promise-keeping God, pray boldly, obey faithfully, and believe that nothing is too hard for the Lord—even when His promises seem impossible. Discover what Abraham and Sarah, faith, prayer, obedience, God's promises, and the power of God can teach us about trusting Him today.

The Sign of the Covenant - August 9, 2026

God's command to Abraham to receive the sign of circumcision is one of the most misunderstood passages in Scripture. Why did God require it? Was it a means of earning His favor, or did it point to something far greater? In Genesis 17:1-14, we discover that circumcision was a covenant sign reminding God's people of His gracious promises—not a work that could save them. This message explores God's covenant with Abraham, His unwavering faithfulness to keep every promise, and Abraham's call to respond in worship and obedience. We'll see that salvation has always been by grace through faith, and that outward signs have value only when they reflect a heart that truly trusts in God.Whether you're wrestling with difficult Old Testament passages or simply want a deeper understanding of God's covenant promises, this study will encourage you to trust the Lord's perfect timing, rest in His grace, and faithfully walk before Him. God's Covenant with Abraham - August 2, 2026

In today’s sermon on Genesis 15:1–21, Pastor Rob explores the depth of God’s covenant with Abram, addressing the deep tension between human doubt and divine commitment. Ten years after receiving God's initial promise, a childless Abram honestly brings his fears and uncertainties to the Lord. Rather than rebuking him, God meets Abram in his vulnerability—taking him outside to gaze at the stars and promising that his offspring will be just as vast, pointing forward to all who would share in this faith.Throughout the message, we unpack the foundational truth of justification by faith found in Genesis 15:6. Abram believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness—not because of his own works, but as an unearned gift of grace. Pastor Rob reminds us that our standing before God rests entirely on trusting His word rather than striving to earn His favor, showing how Abram’s faith foreshadows our own call to trust in Christ. Finally, we examine the solemn covenant ceremony where God alone passes through the divided animals while Abram sleeps. This unilateral act proves that God's promises are 100% guaranteed by His unchanging character rather than our performance. It points directly to the Gospel, assuring us that Jesus bore the ultimate cost on the cross so we can rest securely in God's promises—even during life's seasons of waiting.
