MKB catch up with Rosie Kelly Smith, talking her new book, Real Housewives and mastitis!

Hey mamas, Just me this week (Sophie) as Tallulah has just given birth!! Woop woop! I had the pleasure of catching up with Rosie Kelly Smith.  Rosie lives with her fiancé and baby girl, Billie. She works in journalism and production and co-hosts a top ten podcast 'What if?' with her mummy, Lorraine Kelly. Rosie is launching her new book 'Mother to Mother' on the 26th February, so we sat down to discuss this beautiful book and navigating motherhood through the generations. The book talks to the advice that gets passed down, whether it should or not! Becoming a new parent is daunting enough without having to contend with comments and advice from seemingly every corner. 'They didn't do it like that in my day', 'You'll make a rod for your own back', 'Don't spoil the baby'. It's so easy to become overwhelmed, and too easy to feel like you're failing. How do you sift through all the advice and know what to trust? From her mum's birth in 1959, to her own in 1994, and to little Billie's in 2024, Rosie shares the universal truths that still make sense today, alongside the pieces of advice you can definitely ignore. From pregnancy to birth, the early days and beyond, Mother to Mother explores what we can learn about parenting from our own mums, as well as what we will find for ourselves. Welcome to the podcast Rosie!! Love MKB team As always, feel free to reach out to us, we'd love to know what you want to hear about on the podcast and our DMs are always open! MKB chat pregnancy, erotic jungle getaways and DJing with first time pregnant mama, Midge AKA Mami Juana

Welcome back mamas! This week we'll be chatting to our first ever first time pregnant mummy, Midge (aka MAMI JUANA). Midge is South London born & raised and now lives in the jungle in the Dominican Republic. Midge has taken on pregnancy her own way, keeping it fun, sexy and colourful. Pregnancy has not defined or slowed her down as she builds her tropical empire, hosting “The Pink Jungle” a podcast where she talks candidly about womanhood, faith, love and life in the Caribbean, developing an upscale erotic jungle getaway with her besty aimed to create a sex-positive space for couples to enjoy and her most recent endeavour, DJing and curating a sound that incorporates all of her previous lives.  Midge spent years backpacking through Asia and South America where she fell in love with the idea of taking it back to basics and living as closely to nature as possible, after learning Spanish (and how to dance salsa!) the tropical Island of DR has been the place where she’s decided to make that dream come to life.  Now living 5 minutes from the ocean in her big pink house that she built with her 6 rescue dogs, cat, her partner and soon to be born baby girl, her iconic story is far from over.  We loved speaking to Midge and we hope you enjoy! Love Sophie and Tallulah! (aka MKB) As always, feel free to reach out to us, we'd love to know what you want to hear about on the podcast and our DMs are always open! MKB girls talk birth story, breastfeeding and the arts with designer and artist, Dharma Taylor

Hello mamas! We're back! Sophie and Tallulah talk birth, managing career and lifestyle with the incredible Dharma Taylor. Dharma Taylor is a London-based designer and multidisciplinary artist working across fashion, textiles, carpentry, and object-making. Trained in fashion, she developed an early fascination with hand-printed textiles, with her first collections stocked by Dover Street Market that had grown from kitchen-table whilst experimenting in block and screen printing. Her work has featured in the Financial Times, Elle Decoration, and House & Garden, and is currently on display at the Design Museum until 2027. Expanding beyond clothing, her practice explores materials, memory, and identity, grounded in the belief that objects carry stories and that design acts as a form of communication between past and present. Her work has been exhibited at Tate Britain, the V&A, and the Benaki Museum in Athens, and she teaches fashion at UAL Central Saint Martins. Some of Dharma’s recent projects include collaborations with Paul Smith and Christopher Farr Rugs, with whom she presented her 2024 solo exhibition Materials Speak, exploring memory and materiality through undyed wool. We loved speaking with Dharma, we hope you enjoy! Love, MKB As always, feel free to reach out to us, we'd love to know what you want to hear about on the podcast and our DMs are always open! MKB girls talk IVF fertility treatment, coaching women and finding your calling with Beth O'Neill

Hello mamas! It's the last episode before the festive break and Tallulah and Sophie are joined by the incredible Beth O’Neill. Beth is an ICF-accredited coach and founder of Cahla (We Are Cahla) a coaching-first leadership company dedicated to helping women lead with purpose, presence and power. Her passion for supporting women grew even stronger after becoming a mum to her little boy, Fionn, in 2021. Returning to corporate coaching after maternity leave, Beth soon realised it was time to create something of her own: a business focused on supporting women in leadership and entrepreneurship, many of whom are navigating motherhood alongside their careers. Through her work as a speaker, coach, and facilitator, Beth creates safe, transformative spaces for women to connect, grow, and build unshakeable confidence. She equips them with the mindset and practical tools, using coaching as a foundation, to uncover their calling, increase their influence, and make a positive impact wherever they are. Beth has supported hundreds of women through executive coaching, team training, and her signature Women in Leadership Programme, working with women from organisations like Google DeepMind, Amazon, and The Salvation Army. As a female founder, Beth weaves in her love for family, faith, mental health, fitness, style and sustainable living, sharing her own experiences (including the highs and challenges of motherhood and fertility) to connect with and inspire other women. In this episode Beth discusses her IVF fertility treatment, how she empowers women and lends some incredible tips for balancing life, motherhood and work. We hope you enjoy Love, MKB As always, feel free to reach out to us, we'd love to know what you want to hear about on the podcast and our DMs are always open!
