Hi! I’m Katie, host of the all new true crime podcast, Buried Evidence. As a fan of true crime, you already know that there is no shortage of material and yet, we feel insulated from the danger. So many true crime stories are wrapped up neatly, with a pretty little bow, stripped of the darkest details and told through a sugar coated veil, but real crime doesn’t work that way. Every case I cover will expose evidence that has been buried, facts that have been overlooked and horrifying truths that many people would rather ignore. In Buried Evidence, I won’t shy away from the dirty little details. Some stories will take a single episode; while others will unfold over multiple parts. .     Yeardley Love

    Yeardley Love was a star athlete at the University of Virginia on the Women's Lacrosse Team in 2010. She was about to graduate and move to New York to start what would have been an undoubtably bright future but tragically, her life was cut short at the hands of another UVA student; George Huguely V. Huguely himself was a star Lacrosse player on the men's team who was also about to graduate that spring.     The Killing of Travis Alexander Part 3: Life or Death

    The State of Arizona V. Jodi Ann Arias began on January 2, 2013. Jodi Arias was on trial for First Degree Murder after killing her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. This episode focuses primarily on Jodi's defense, where I take you into the courtroom to hear testimony from Jodi on direct examination. Jodi and her defense team launch an all out attack on Travis's character and do their best to do damage control on all of the lies she told after the murder took place.     Israel Keyes Part 4: Bill and Lorraine

    In part 4 of the Israel Keyes case, Keyes has become impatient as the Koenig case stalls in the court system so he decides to give investigators the names of two additional victims; Bill and Lorraine Currier, from Essex, Vermont. The couple had been missing since June of 2011 and the local police had no leads to a suspect. Keyes agrees to tell investigators what happened to the Curriers, but when they discover that the abandoned farm hose Keyes left their bodies in had been demolished, they are forced to begin a grueling search of a landfill to try and locate their bodies.     Israel Keyes Part 3: Israel

    Israel Keyes was an American serial killer. His victim count is heavily debated but according to the FBI, they believe it is likely he killed at least 11 people. Agents who investigated the case admit though, his victim count could be much higher but we will likely never know the true extent of his crimes because he was a very skilled and methodical killer, who took great care to conceal his crimes. In fact, the only body of any of his victims that was ever successfully recovered was that of Samantha Koenig, and only because Keyes cooperated with investigators to assist in locating her body.   This week we dig into Keyes past and learn how he was raised, about his time in the Army and hear more interview clips while he was in police custody.     Israel Keyes Part 1: Samantha

    Samantha Koenig was an 18 year old barista, working the night shift at a coffee stand in Anchorage Alaska on February 1st 2012. She had plans to get a ride home from her boyfriend but when he shows up to pick her up, all the lights are out and Samantha is nowhere to be found. Things turn serious when surveillance footage captures Samantha's abductor take her in the night. For more than 6 weeks detectives track the movements of her abductor and once he's caught, they learn that this was not his only crime.
