The show is hosted by Claude Berube, PhD who taught for twenty years at the US Naval Academy where he created and hosted the Preble Hall Naval History podcast. He also worked on Capitol Hill. He is the author or co-author of books on government, naval history, and a thriller fiction series.

At the beginning of the first Trump administration, he was responsible for overseeing the confirmation of all Department of Defense Senate-confirmed personnel and worked confirmations on the Presidential Transition team.
