When we think of Korea’s 대표적인 traditional holidays, Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok usually come to mind. However, there is another traditional holiday in Korea called Daeboreum, also known as the first full moon of the lunar year. Daeboreum falls on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar. In today’s story, I would like to talk about what the lunar calendar and the solar calendar are, what kind of holiday Daeboreum is, and what I personally enjoyed during this special day.
