    What If Your Next Step Is the Answer? | Nehemiah 1:4–11 | A Living Testimony Podcast

    Have you ever prayed about something, asked God for direction, and then… waited? And waited? And maybe waited some more? Let's talk about it. In our last episode of A Living Testimony Podcast, we talked about releasing the pressure to control everything. But here's the other side of that conversation: just because we're not responsible for controlling every outcome doesn't mean we're off the hook when it comes to taking action. In Nehemiah 1:4–11, we see Nehemiah pray, fast, and seek God after learning about Jerusalem's broken walls. But in Nehemiah 2:1–8, he doesn't stop at prayer. When an opportunity comes, he speaks up, makes a plan, and takes a step toward the work in front of him. Nehemiah trusted God, but he also took responsibility for his part. In this episode, we're talking about the difference between surrendering control and avoiding responsibility, what it looks like to move in faith, and how we can stop using “I'm waiting on God” as a reason to ignore the next step He's placed in front of us. Because sometimes, we've prayed for direction but haven't acted on what we already know to do. You don't have to control the outcome. You don't have to make every door open. But you do have to be willing to walk when God calls you forward.     Who’s pouring into YOU? 👀 We talk about being there for everybody else. We encourage, we pray, we check on people, we show up, and we try to hold everything together. But what happens when WE need encouragement? What happens when we're tired, overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply need somebody to remind us of what God says? Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 reminds us that two are better than one and that when one falls, another can help them up. God did not design us to navigate every season of life in isolation.
