Groups Podcast Ep 83, SEEK WEEK: Seek First | Keith Golightly

08.16.26 What does your daily pursuit reveal about what you actually live for? We spend endless energy chasing direction, security, purpose, and answers, yet rarely stop to ask if we are seeking anything of eternal value. Scripture reveals that seeking God isn’t a panic button reserved for moments of desperation—it is an intentional, daily pursuit that shapes how we live, think, choose and respond. But what happens when seeking Him transforms from a mere spiritual discipline into the ultimate defining passion of our lives? As we approach Seek Week, consider this: what you seek today determines where you end up tomorrow. If what you chase shapes who you become, what are you really pursuing, and why? Groups Podcast Ep 82, Abundance and Acceleration | ryan peterson

08.11.26 Over the past season, God has been taking us through a Holy Transition—from crowds to commissioned, from acquaintances to intimacy, and from waiting to birthing—and now He is inviting us into a season of abundance and acceleration. But biblical abundance is never about personal comfort or prosperity; it is about greater responsibility, deeper dependence on God, and making room for others like Peter in Luke 5:1-11. But like James and John, God is calling some of us to join others as God pours out abundance on them, rather than sitting on the shores of apathy, bitterness, or sulking in insecurity. God isn’t simply looking for people who are familiar with His Word—He’s looking for people who will do His Word, developing not just the outward systems but the inward character to sustain God’s abundance in this season of acceleration.  You can find this week's sermon notes and Sermon Guide here: https://gracechurchsp.org/resources/sermon-guides/ Fill the city with Jesus. Groups Podcast Ep 81, Is God Enough? | Thomas Toguchi

08.02.2026 Is God enough, or do we value His gifts more than His face? How easily do we distort the gospel, turning God into a mere tool to get heaven, peace, or purpose? 1 Peter 3:18 and John 17:3 remind us that God Himself is the gospel. Every good gift—family, career, provision—is meant to point us back to the Giver, serving as a means to know Him more deeply. Yet, when blessings become idols, our hearts grow cold. What do you truly treasure: Would heaven satisfy us if Christ were not there? True eternal life is not just escaping hell or gaining earthly blessings, but joyfully laying down everything for the supreme worth of knowing Jesus. Like the merchant seeking the pearl of great price, discovering God’s ultimate value transforms sacrifice into pure joy. Groups Podcast Ep 79, The Fear of God: Does My Sin Cost Others?

07.19.26 We often forget that we serve a Holy God by emphasizing His love over His holiness. Fearing God is not living in terror, but existing in such awe of His holiness that we hate what separates us from Him—sin. When we lose this fear, we minimize sin and mistake His patience for permission. Our sin is never private; it always costs others, impacting families and future generations. Achan’s hidden sin cost Israel thirty-six warriors and an important battle. While Saul feared public opinion, David owned his sin and repented. True biblical repentance means falling forward in humble accountability. Ultimately, God’s holiness demands justice, but His love provides Christ. The Cross is where justice and mercy meet, inviting us to encounter His holiness, receive grace, and fulfill our true divine calling. Groups Podcast Ep 77, The Fatherhood of God: Abiding with Him

07.05.26 Earthly experiences shape our view of fatherhood, but Jesus revealed a radical truth: God is not a distant judge, but a loving Father who desires relationship. In Matthew 6, Jesus invites us to approach God as Father—our Abba who acts as our Source, Sustainer, Protector, and Provider. The story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15 illustrates two ways we fail to abide. The younger son sought independence through reckless living but found restoration in a Father who valued his identity over his sin. The older son stayed close but remained spiritually distant, trapped in religious performance by valuing property, processes, and programs over intimacy. True relationship requires presence over performance. God cannot be manipulated by religious checklists or works. He is never shocked by our mess; He is simply calling for a generation to put away the distractions, enter His presence, and choose to truly abide in Him.
