The Broken Theory™: Why We Think There's Something Wrong With Us

Have you ever caught yourself thinking... "What's wrong with me?" Maybe you've forgotten something, gained weight, felt overwhelmed, struggled with anxiety or found yourself blaming yourself for things outside your control. But what if that's the wrong question? In this first episode of Season 3, I introduce what I call The Broken Theory™... the hidden belief that many of us carry that somehow we're fundamentally flawed. It's a belief that quietly shapes the way we think, feel and respond to life's challenges, especially during menopause, stress and times of change. I'll explore where these beliefs often begin, why they feel so convincing, and how understanding them can be the first step towards lasting change. Because maybe... You're Not Broken™. Maybe you've simply been believing a story that was never yours to begin with.  If this episode resonates with you, I'd love you to follow the podcast, share it with someone who needs to hear it, and join me as we continue exploring how to rewrite the stories that no longer serve us. 🔗 Links & Resources Sleep Reset 👉 The Menopause Sleep Reset: A Guided Audio for Women Who Wake Between 2–4am https://mindjab.gumroad.com/l/lxdvzs Nervous System Reset 👉 Nervous System Reset for Women in Menopause https://mindjab.gumroad.com/l/cjfdcu ✨ Work With Me 📩 General enquiries: themindjab@gmail.com ✨ Connect With Me 📘 Facebook: Jeanette Mabin Hypnotherapy 📸 Instagram: @themindjabformenopause 🎵 TikTok: @themindjabformenopause

In this episode, I explore why so many women become their own harshest critic, especially during perimenopause and menopause.I'll share some personal stories, including my recent migraine, the guilt that came with simply needing to rest, and why I believe the biggest problem isn't always the symptoms themselves... it's the meaning we attach to them. What if you're not broken? What if you've simply been asking yourself the wrong question? If you've ever felt like you've lost yourself, this episode is for you.💜 Because maybe... just maybe... you're not broken after all.🎧 If this episode resonates with you, I'd love you to subscribe, leave a review, and share it with another woman who needs to hear these words today. Menopause: The Ultimate Excuse? Why Husbands Need a DIY Survival Kit 🤣

Forget where you parked the car? Menopause. Burnt the toast? Menopause. Lost your temper? Definitely menopause. Won Lotto? Apparently... menopause too. 🤣 In this episode of The Mind Jab Podcast, Jeanette takes a light-hearted look at one of the funniest parts of menopause: the way it somehow becomes the explanation for absolutely everything. But beneath the laughter lies a much bigger question many women ask themselves: "What's wrong with me?" From brain fog and forgetfulness to confidence wobbles and feeling unlike yourself, this episode explores why so many women start doubting themselves during midlife, and why the answer might be much kinder than you think. Because perhaps the problem isn't that you're broken. Perhaps you're simply going through a transition nobody properly prepared you for. And yes... men probably do need their own DIY Menopause Survival Kit. 💜 You're not broken.
