Hi I’m Hilary and I created this podcast as an accompaniment to my book, Dorm to Doorstep, as a way for people to manage anxiety, get grounded, practice gratitude and set an intention for the day all in 3 minutes or les. New meditations are released Monday through Friday, with CORE meditations on Mondays, focusing on simple gratitude and intention setting, and themed meditations Tuesday through Friday, each centered around a specific word. Your Daily Three lets you choose the format that best supports your practice. Thank you for inviting me into your mindfulness journey! Your Daily Three Meditation— In Your Own Time

Hello friend. Let yourself get comfortable. Maybe soften your shoulders. Unclench your hands. Let your jaw relax. And for just a moment, let the day wait for you. And close your eyes if that feels comfortable and safe. Notice your breathing without changing it. One breath arriving. One breath leaving. You don't need to hurry through either one. Stay here for another moment. Now imagine yourself walking somewhere familiar. There is no destination you need to reach. You're simply moving forward. As you walk, notice that people around you are moving at different speeds. Someone passes you. Someone stops. Someone is barely moving at all. And yet, none of them changes the pace that belongs to you. Consider how often we measure our lives against someone else's timing. What we thought would happen by now. What someone else has already done. What we think we should have figured out. But your life has never been required to move according to someone else's clock. Think of something that took longer than you expected—and perhaps turned out to need that extra time. Maybe you weren't ready. Maybe circumstances weren't right. Maybe the waiting changed what you wanted. Whatever the reason, let yourself be grateful that life doesn't always move on the schedule we create for it. Your thought for today: My pace is not a measure of my progress. And your intention: I will let my life unfold at a pace that feels true to me. Now let the image of the path fade. Come back to the simple experience of sitting here. Notice your breath. Notice the quiet. There is nothing you need to catch up to in this moment. And nothing you need to get ahead of. Today, you can take the next step when you're ready. Not because everyone else is moving. Because it is your time to move. Begin to bring your attention back to the room. Listen for the sounds around you. Feel the surface beneath you. And when you are ready, open your eyes. Take your own pace with you. Thank you so much for being here. Go out and make it a great day. Namaste.
