The Alchemy of Masculinity

Ioannis Kokkinos | Masculine Embodiment Guide

The Alchemy of Masculinity explores the journey of masculine initiation through shadow integration, sexual energy mastery, emotional resilience, and spiritual growth. After more than 15 years of struggle with pornography addiction, disconnection, and self-abandonment, I entered a path of deep inner work that transformed my relationship with masculinity, intimacy, purpose, and personal power. What emerged was not perfection, but a return to authenticity, embodiment, and truth. Through raw conversations, personal stories, collaborations, and practical insights, we explore masculine embodiment, sexual energy, emotional regulation, shadow work, intimacy, rites of passage, esotericism, archetypal meanings, spirituality, and the challenges facing modern men. This podcast is for men who know they are capable of more. Men who are ready to stop performing, reclaim their power, integrate their shadow, and forge a life of purpose, integrity, and authentic masculine presence. Welcome to the Fire, brother.

Trauma Healing & Recovery: Why Connection Is the Opposite of Addiction

Send us Fan Mail Why does quitting drugs, alcohol, or porn so rarely fix the real problem? Because addiction is usually a symptom, not the root. Underneath it are shame, pain, and disconnection, which is why lasting recovery is built on connection, not willpower alone. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I sit down with Austin Rampt, author of One Last Hit and host of the One Last Hit podcast, for a story of addiction, collapse, and comeback. Austin takes us from childhood shame and early trauma to his first drink at 13, nine years of 12-step sobriety, a relapse that ended in an overdose and kidney failure, and a spiral through cartel-controlled Cancun that cost him over a million dollars. We then talk about how he rebuilt his life through authenticity, connection, and fatherhood, and how the pressures men face can lead to addictions, which ultimately are about feeling some false sense of control. You'll learn why connection is the antidote to addiction, how shame and emotional neglect in childhood shape compulsive behavior, and why so many men believe providing and achieving is enough. We also get into inner child healing, boundaries, and surrender as a path to freedom. In this episode: Addiction recovery for men: why quitting isn't enoughWhy connection is the opposite of addictionRedefining masculinity: strength through vulnerabilityThe "provider only" script and what it costs men and fathersEmotional neglect and ancestral wounding in menMale shame, control, and feeling not good enoughPorn, food, drugs, and body dysmorphia as symptomsInner child healing, boundaries, and fatherhoodWhy men need brotherhood and community to recoverAddiction isn't the thing to fix. Why Your Brokenness Is Your Superpower: The Key to Your Transformation

Send us Fan Mail What if the parts of yourself you call broken are actually the parts holding the key to your healing? Addiction, compulsive behavior, shame, body image struggles, and the feeling of never being good enough can leave men believing something is fundamentally wrong with them. Brokenness isn't your downfall. It can be the beginning of your transformation. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I share my own experience with porn addiction, food addiction, and body dysmorphia, and the pressure to become a certain version of strong, powerful, and masculine. I look at how shame, perfectionism, and rejecting your weaker parts keep you disconnected from yourself, and what changes when you meet those parts with compassion instead. You'll learn how the symbolic death and resurrection of Christ, seen through an esoteric lens, offers a framework for spiritual death, rebirth, and transformation. Through Christ consciousness, gnosis, your younger selves, and masculine and feminine polarity, you'll see how brokenness can become a source of wisdom, purpose, courage, and self-love. In this episode: Addiction, compulsive behavior, and the wounds beneath themPorn addiction, food addiction, and body dysmorphiaShame, perfectionism, and feeling not good enoughWhy brokenness can become a source of healingChrist consciousness, spiritual death, and rebirthGnosis and finding wisdom from withinReconnecting with younger versions of yourselfMasculine and feminine polarity and integrationHow compassion turns shame into purpose and powerYour brokenness may not be something you need to fix. Fear of Intimacy & Ego Death: How Sexuality Transforms Men

Send us Fan Mail Why do so many men struggle with intimacy, and what does fear of loss have to do with it? Underneath difficulty with intimacy, sexuality, and emotional connection, there is often fear of loss, grief, and letting go. Sexual energy is usually associated with pleasure and release, but it also brings men face-to-face with surrender, vulnerability, ego death, and transformation. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I explore sexual energy, fear of intimacy, pornography, grief, and the connection between sex, death, and rebirth. I share how my own fear of death and loss created a fear of intimacy and sexual union, and how pornography became a way to feel closeness without fully surrendering to another person. You'll learn why pornography can be an avoidance of intimacy rather than the root of the problem, how grief and unresolved loss can affect sexuality, and why healthy ego development and boundaries are essential for genuine intimacy. We also get into sacred sexuality, Tantra, ego death, and sexual energy as a catalyst for spiritual transformation. In this episode: Sexual energy and spiritual awakeningFear of intimacy in menPornography as avoidance of intimacyGrief, loss, and sexual healingSexual blockage and emotional suppressionEgo death and sexual intimacyHealthy ego, boundaries, and surrenderSacred sexuality and TantraEros, Thanatos, and sexual transformationIntimacy asks you to risk loss. Nudism for Male Body Shame: Stop Hiding From Your Body

Send us Fan Mail Why do so many men feel ashamed of their bodies, and can nudism help? Male body shame is shaped by pornography, the fitness industry, social expectations, and constant comparison, which create unrealistic ideas about how a man is supposed to look and leave many men disconnected from their bodies. Becoming comfortable in your own naked body is one way to challenge that shame and build a deeper mind-body connection. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I explore nudism as a practice for healing male body shame. I talk about being naked at home, a daily naked mirror practice, nudism in nature, genital shame, and the pressure men feel around penis size and muscularity, and how pornography amplifies those expectations. You'll learn how body acceptance, embodiment, and intuition can grow when you stop hiding from your own body. I also get into what can happen when men are naked together, including homoerotic energy, male bonding, masculine initiation, and the difference between eros and sexuality. In this episode: Male body shame and body imageNudism and body acceptancePornography and unrealistic male body expectationsPenis size and genital shameNaked mirror practice and body confidenceNudity and masculine embodimentHomoerotic energy and male bondingEros, sexuality, and masculine initiationNudism, nature, and embodied intuitionShame thrives when the body is hidden. Sexual Shame in Men: The Root Beneath Porn Addiction

Send us Fan Mail Why do so many men struggle with porn addiction, and what does sexual shame have to do with it? Sexual shame often begins long before pornography enters the picture, and when shame attaches to the body and sexual nature, porn can become a way to escape, suppress, or unconsciously express what was never accepted. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I explore sexual shame in men, body shame, and the connection between shame and porn addiction. I look at how childhood suppression, body image, and masculine expectations create a cycle of disconnection from the body and compulsive sexual behavior, and I share what I learned in my own porn addiction recovery. You'll learn why healing sexual shame takes more than quitting pornography, why reconnecting with the body is essential, and how working with the inner child, emotions, and nervous system can help you build a healthier relationship with your body and sexuality. In this episode: Sexual shame in menBody shame and male body imageWhy shame can lead to pornographyPenis and genital shameChildhood shame and the inner childMale sexuality and self-worthSomatic healing and emotional regulationReconnecting with your body and sexual natureSexual shame doesn't disappear when you quit porn. Guided Meditation for Men #2: Unleash Your Dark Masculine

Send us Fan Mail What happens when you stop running from the parts of yourself you've buried?  This guided meditation takes you into the underworld of your own psyche through the ancient Greek myth of Persephone and Pluto, exploring Shadow Work, emotional healing, and the parts of yourself you were taught to suppress. In this episode, I guide you through a slow descent into the dark, where Persephone represents the softness, grief, rage, shame, and wildness that many men have buried in order to survive. Pluto represents the Dark Masculine: the steady presence that can hold it without suppressing, fixing, or running from it. You'll explore what it means to witness rather than rescue, contain rather than reject, and allow what has been buried to transform in its own time. Through breath, body awareness, visualization, and the symbolism of the underworld, this meditation becomes a journey through Shadow Work, masculine embodiment, death and rebirth. Porn Addiction Recovery: Where Mindfulness Meets Embodiment

Send us Fan Mail Porn addiction can become deeply ingrained through repeated patterns of craving, stimulation, and escape. Over time, compulsive pornography use can affect how men experience their bodies, sexuality, relationships, and ability to feel satisfied with real life. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I sit down with Jeremy Lipkowitz, founder of Unhooked Academy, to explore porn addiction recovery through neuroscience, mindfulness, and personal experience. We discuss how pornography can reinforce neural pathways of craving and dissatisfaction, how neuroplasticity can support recovery, and the emotional wounds and disconnection that can sit underneath compulsive porn use. You'll learn why quitting pornography is only one part of recovery, how meditation and mindfulness can help men develop greater awareness and self-control, and why reconnecting with the body is essential. We also explore masturbation after porn addiction, erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, intimacy, self-love, and the importance of being witnessed and supported by other men. The Shame Wound in Men: Why You Feel Unworthy and Stuck

Send us Fan Mail Shame can make you feel unworthy, disconnected, and afraid to be seen, often without you realizing how much it is controlling your life. Unlike guilt, which tells us we did something wrong, shame tells us that something is wrong with who we are. In this episode of The Alchemy of Masculinity, I explore where shame comes from, how it shapes confidence, self-worth, relationships, intimacy, and self-expression, and why shame may sit underneath much of what we experience as fear. Drawing from my own experience with shame, porn addiction, body image, and visibility, I explore how these patterns become internalized and how we can begin healing them at their source. You'll learn why shame keeps us contracted, how to distinguish shame from guilt and fear, and why going back to the origin of the voice that tells you you're not good enough can be the beginning of real transformation. In this episode:  What shame is and where it comes from  Shame vs. guilt and fear  Shame, self-worth, and confidence  Why shame makes us afraid to be seen  Shame and emotional repression in men  Body shame and comparison  Shame, pornography, and intimacy  Finding the origin of shame  Self-expression and being witnessed  Transforming shame into power and purpose If you've been struggling with feeling unworthy, hiding yourself, comparing yourself to others, or holding yourself back from the life you want, this episode explores how healing shame can help you reclaim your confidence, self-expression, and sense of worth.
