    Learning To Support Yourself: The Journey

    "I haven’t always had the support. I haven’t always had someone in my corner saying you can do this.” So, Alexandra has learned to give that to herself. Being a business owner is for the most part a solo journey. Being a leader takes courage and self-reflection. It can be very lonely at times.     Feedback Isn’t the Problem - It’s the Ten Seconds After

    Nobody actually likes feedback. Be honest do you? Alexandra has learn't feedback isn’t the problem. What she does in the ten seconds after receiving it is what counts. Alexandra believes not running from it, flipping it around instead. Turning every piece of hard feedback into a development question. “You’re not good enough at public speaking” becomes: Do I hire a coach? Find a mentor? Get myself in more rooms to practise? Preparation and practice are everything. Because the moment feedback becomes a mission, the self-doubt has nowhere to sit. You’re too busy getting better.
