The necessity of expository preaching in the church!

This episode explores the power and necessity of expository teaching—the faithful, verse-by-verse preaching of the Bible. Many of the errors we see in the church today arise because preaching has shifted from the text of Scripture to personal opinions, emotions, and experiences. What a preacher feels, what is happening in the congregation, or what was discussed in the counseling room too often becomes the Sunday sermon, rather than what God has spoken in His Word. May the Lord help us lay aside our opinions and return to the text of Scripture itself. As Paul reminds us: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

Is it important to remember when you were saved?

Do you feel uneasy when people confidently recall the exact day, place, and moment they were saved—while you can’t? The truth is, the date isn’t what matters. What matters is this: have you truly received salvation? Eternal life isn’t about remembering a moment; it’s about possessing the life of God within you.

Martin Luther Insane or not? Part 2

Prepare to delve deeper into the life of Martin Luther in our second session, exploring the formative years that shaped his revolutionary impact on the church and the Reformation. We’ll journey with Luther as he enters the Augustinian Monastery, guided by the mentorship of Johann von Staupitz, where his rigorous confessions—sometimes stretching six hours—reveal his intense view of even the smallest sins. His spiritual torment, known as Anfechtungen, will come to light, marked by an acute awareness of sin and a medieval understanding of God’s righteousness as punitive justice, leading him to confess a deep resentment toward the God who judged sinners. We’ll also examine his extreme practices—fasting, self-beatings, and self-abasement—inspired by the flagellants, all while he remained devoted to Roman Catholic teachings. The session will culminate with his first Mass, a moment of inner turmoil as he grappled with the transubstantiation liturgy, attended by his father, setting the stage for the doubts that would spark his later challenges to the church. Join us to uncover how these early experiences ignited a movement that reshaped Christian history.

Teach us how to pray

“When the disciples asked, ‘Lord, teach us to pray,’ their request was sincere and heartfelt. In His kindness and love, Jesus graciously showed them how to pray, giving them a beautiful model to follow.”
