    Mission: Rescue | John 12:27 | Pastor Maritza Rubiano Jesus approached the cross with a deeply troubled soul, yet He refused to abandon the purpose for which He came. His mission was rescue—to give Himself for our sins and bring humanity back to God. In “Mission: Rescue,” Pastor Maritza Rubiano reminds us that those who have been rescued by Christ are now called to participate in His mission. Someone prayed for us, told us about Jesus, invited us, or showed us His love. Now we have the opportunity to carry that same message to others. We may still have wounds and scars, but we cannot become so consumed with our own lives that we stop hearing the cries of people who need hope. The mission is urgent, our time is limited, and Jesus is still rescuing lives. We were reached to reach others. We were found to help find others. We were rescued to participate in the rescue.

    Raising the Next | Generation Pastor Juan Espino

    Raising the Next Generation Joshua 24:15 | Pastor Juan Espino What kind of faith are we passing on to the next generation? Joshua made a clear and intentional decision: “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Raising children to know and follow God does not happen by accident. It requires parents and families who intentionally choose Christ, teach His Word, and demonstrate through their own lives what it means to follow Him. In this message, Pastor Juan Espino challenges parents, grandparents, and the church to recognize our responsibility in raising the next generation. Proverbs 22:6 calls us to train our children in the way they should go, while Deuteronomy 6 reminds us that faith must become part of everyday life—at home, along the way, when we lie down, and when we get up. But teaching alone is not enough. Like Paul, we should be able to say, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). Our children need more than instructions about Jesus; they need to see a genuine relationship with Jesus lived before them.  We are not simply raising children—we are raising the next generation to know, love, and serve the Lord.

But what happens when the shortcuts we choose take us further away from God? In this powerful message, “Shortcuts,” Pastor Maritza Rubiano takes us through Isaiah 8 and 9 and the story of the people of Judah. Faced with fear and uncertainty, their king rejected God’s protection and chose what seemed like a faster, more visible solution. But that shortcut ultimately led the people into greater fear, confusion, weariness, and spiritual darkness. We can make the same mistake today. When life becomes difficult, we may look for something—or someone—to numb our pain, satisfy our desires, or give us an immediate answer. Yet human shortcuts can never satisfy the deepest needs of our hearts. But darkness does not have the final word. Isaiah declares: “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light.” God’s answer was not another shortcut. God’s answer was Jesus. When you are lost and confused, He is your Wonderful Counselor. When the battle seems too great, He is your Mighty God. When you feel abandoned and alone, He is your Everlasting Father. When your heart is overwhelmed by anxiety, guilt, or chaos, He is your Prince of Peace. God never answered the darkness of this world with a shortcut.
