    You are being influenced more than you realize. Every conversation, every friendship, every podcast, every group chat, every social feed, and every environment is shaping the person you're becoming. The question is: is it pushing you forward or pulling you backward? In this episode, we dive into the power of influence, proximity, and environment. We unpack why leadership isn't about titles or positions, but about influence, and how every single one of us is either raising or lowering the standard for the people around us. We explore the idea that you become like the people you spend the most time with and why auditing your circle may be one of the most important exercises you can do. Are the people around you making you sharper or sloppier? Do they challenge you to grow or encourage you to stay comfortable? Are they helping you build discipline, faith, and purpose, or pulling you toward excuses, distraction, and complacency? But this conversation isn't just about evaluating others. It's also about evaluating yourself. What kind of influence are you bringing into the rooms you enter? Do people become better because you're around? Do you bring clarity, accountability, and growth? Or do you contribute to gossip, negativity, and lowered standards? Because if you hate the journey, you'll never truly enjoy the destination. I also share a personal story from one of the most disappointing moments of my career. After leaving Paramount Pictures, I went through six rounds of interviews with Warner Bros. only to hear "no." At the time, it felt like a major setback. Looking back, it was one of the best things that ever happened to me because it ultimately led to building NOX Media. We'll also unpack why most people don't actually fear failure. They fear the feeling of failure and what others might think if they fall short. But real failure only happens when you decide to quit.
