Strengthen your own and others’ hands in the Lord, so that all of God’s people will hold onto His hand, even as He holds onto theirs!

This is a hard truth. We will never be able to fully understand, explain, or see all that God is doing, but it is a truth that we can and should believe, trust, rest in, and rejoice in, especially when it looks like sin, sinners, evil, and wickedness are winning in our world! 1 Samuel 2:31-352) Two contrasting lives and outcomes. The lives and stories of King Saul and David are meant to remind us that things are not always as they appear; it is far better to be in the wilderness with the Lord than in the palace without Him; physical circumstance, safety, and status cannot and do not compare to spiritual, eternal safety, security, and status; this life and world are not all there is; and one day King Jesus - not Satan, sin, or death - will have the last word and laugh! Psalm 52

Jesus, the Son of David, is the King ready to receive a despised, distressed, down-and-out people! Luke 4:18-19; 5:31-32; 6:20-21; and Matthew 11:28-291 Corinthians 1:26-292) Safe in the Lord’s hands. Despite what it looks like, feels like, or where it leads, there is no safer place to be than in the Lord’s hand! 3) The Lord’s simple (almost unnoticeable) provision. God upholds and provides for his desperate people through extraordinarily ordinary ways!

Psalm 34:1-3Praise the Lord, share with others the great things He has done for you, and join in singing the Song of the Redeemed with all of God’s people for all eternity!

Oh Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end.2. Life is made up in storms. There is either one on the horizon, or we are in the midst of one, or we have just passed through one. In His grace, God offers us a peace with Himself through Jesus Christ, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Let us rest in Him for Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
