    Ep. 47: Max hippy noses!!!

    You know him, you love him… But actually, maybe you don't, but frankly, we're not here to talk about that part because we're here to pay tribute/homage/give flowers to the one and only Max Cavalera! You might know him from the oh, I don't know, several bands he's been in, such as Sepultura, Nailbomb, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Go Ahead and Die, plus many more. I know that makes it sound like he's in the studio, but actually he's not; we're just always happy to wax poetic on the musical career of Max's. And so, in this episode we trip over one another gushing about the number one barking Brazilian and all the music he's given to our ears over the years! Plus, check out what we've been watching and what we've been listening to; do it!

    Ep. 46: Danny (King) II Lucifuge

    Well look what we've got here… The second installment of the TRRP Friends Club! This is where we will obsess over any given album of our choosing and include our buds. Joining us once again is Daniel "Danny" King head honcho over at Black Voodoo Records! The album? This time around it's Danzig's sophomore effort Danzig II: Lucifuge. We of course catch up with Danny but then listen in as we discuss how the second album affected us when we discovered it and even now. Plus catch up with everything we've been catching on the screen and in our ears!

    Ep. 45: Our top 10 fantasy directors! No, not fantasies like that… Well maybe. OK no not like that.

    We are once again taking on the difficult task of deciding who our top 10 directors are, this time it's within the fantasy genre. Now, fantasy can incorporate a whole lot of things but as always we set up some guidelines so that our selections are made a bit more sensible and with this list, we're at the halfway point of our movie genre favorites. Some of these are no-brainers and you'll be surprised at what we left out because the directors didn't have more than one or two fantasy movies under their belts. Plus catch-up what we have been listening to and let us know if you agree with our selections!

    Ep. 44: Is it really selling out if nobody's buying?

    For as long as people have been creative, the topic of selling out has also unfortunately been present. Fortunately, for us, we decide to tackle or begin to tackle what it might mean to sell out. Of course we lay down some definitions so that we're not all over the place completely but we also pose some questions and provide examples as to what a sellout in a creative space could be or might not be but we tend to think of them as such because we don't like the direction the creative types are going. Check this one out and catch up with everything we've been watching and listening to!

    Ep. 43: Don't call it a comeback, he's been Pete for years + first installation of TRRP Friends Club

    Aside from including very cool ponds in our title, we also have a very cool guest once again. Gracing our halls at TRRP compound once again is Mr. Pete Majors! You know him, you love him and you know he's the fabulous host of the Idlewild experimental music festival, and it's third installation and happening in Idlewild California! Make sure to click on all the relevant links we've got up to find out any information you might need before making your way out there and make sure you enjoy yourself and as always, be cool with all of the kitty cats! Additionally, Pete joins us to talk about not just one of our favorite albums but also one of his, coincidentally that album is the Danzig self titled first album, released in 1988. As we wax poetic on the rumblings of one Mr. Glenn Anzalone and Company, this also serves as the introductory episode of the TRRP friends club which is going to serve as a way to invite our friends and talk about albums we all enjoy of course starting with this one. Plus make sure to stick around and catch up with everything we've been watching and listening to aside from Danzig of course!

    Here at the Rehearsal Room, you have to know we love making lists and this episode is no different! On this broadcast, we reimagined what it means to be America's top 10 rock bands as it pertains to us… The fellas. You might be surprised at some of our choices and in most cases, you probably won't be if you've caught any of our previous episodes and listened to what we praise and what we don't!     Ep. 41: Is Record Store Day worth it? Our thoughts!

    Record Store Day or RSD, if you're into the whole brevity thing started off as a great idea, to get people's attention back into supporting independent record shops and luckily for us, this also helped bring about the resurgence of vinyl and vinyl collecting a couple of decades ago. But as with every good idea, doesn't always stay as pure as the intent might have been? We do a little digging around and add our collective two cents into the conversation of whether this biannual event is worth it for the consumer and the locations hosting these events. Plus catch up with what we've been watching and listening!

    Ep. 40: Do you really want to hurt me as played by the cancel culture club

    This week's topic is "cancel culture". We know, we know… There are no other phrases that might deter people quicker than a heart attack. Well maybe "tax season" or maybe "doctors visit "and a favorite "visiting our parents house". Anyway, we don't just start naming people and listing off all the bad things they did even though we kind of do but also we try to get into the thought process of what people mean by cancel culture because it's not just one thing and it hasn't been one thing for a long time. A very long time as you'll find out. And you'll also maybe find out that it's not actually about cancellation since nobody really gets canceled but we've already said the word cancel a whole lot so just listen to the episode. Plus catch up on what we've been listening to and watching!
