The Indy Eleven Coaches Show returns for 2026! Head Coach Sean McAuley joins Grant Shoulders to talk about everything Indy Eleven throughout the upcoming season.

    Soccer Saturday – October 3, 2026

    Segment 1 (0:00-2:56) Greg Rakestraw begins today's show as the Indy Eleven are on the outside looking into the playoffs.  Segment (5:56-17:13) Greg Rakestraw is joined by Indy Eleven Head Coach Sean McAuley. They discuss how the team is feeling at this point in the season, and if they can build any momentum towards a playoff spot.  Segment 3 (20:13-26:07) We head from team captain Aodhan Quinn following Wednesday's loss to Rhode Island FC. He explains what it is like to lose two starters to injury close to kickoff and how to overcome it.  Segment 4 (29:07-43:40) Greg Rakestraw is joined by Jason Davis from Sirius XM FC. They talk about the international friendlies and how they play into the next World Cup. They discuss the roster for the US Men's National Team and how Christian Pulisic can make his way back into the fold. They also talk about Manchester City and the guilty verdict in the Premier League rule case. What changes need to be made internally?  Segment 5 (43:40-56:22) Host Greg Rakestraw closes out the show by continuing the discussion on the USMNT. When does he want to see Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie make their returns. He also revisits the situation with Manchester City and their financial controversy.

    Soccer Saturday - 9/26/26

    Segment 1 (0:00-3:09) Greg Rakestraw opens the show by previewing the show and the match ahead this weekend.  He talks about where they stand in the playoff standings and what needs to be done to make the postseason.   Segment 2 (6:09-17:15) During this segment, the Head Coach of the Indy Eleven Sean McAuley joins the show for this weekly segment.  Coach McAuley recaps last week's match in a 1-0 loss to Oakland.  He talks about where he thinks they stand as they sit inside the playoff bubble with six matches to go. Greg gives a Standings update heading into the weekend and this weekend's schedule of matches.  Segment 3 (20:15-29:32) In this segment, Jack Blake and Nabi Kibunguchy join the show via the postgame show from the 1-0 loss against Oakland on Sunday.  They talk about the tough loss, but need to put it behind them and move forward. Nabi talks about how much he is enjoying Indy. He talks about the team's mindset moving forward as the playoff push continues.  Segment 4 (32:32-44:21) For this segment, Marian University Head Soccer Coach James Jenkins joins the show to talk about how the Knights season is going to this point. He talks about his star players to this point as Conference Play begins. He talks about 18 countries that represent the roster for Marian and how international the team and league are. He talks about the difficulty of the Crossroads League play as that kicks off this weekend.  Segment 5 (47:21-56:53) To close the show for this week, Greg previews the match later tonight and where to get tickets.  Greg also talks about the US Men's National Team Friendlies upcoming during this international break.  He also gets into Premier League as the season got underway last month and where that table stands at this point. He ends the show with Wrexham talk and where they stand in the Championship table.

    Soccer Saturday – September 19, 2026

    Segment 1 (0:00-2:27) Greg Rakestraw previews the today’s show, featuring his recurring conversation with Sean McAuley and more player interviews.  Segment (5:27-18:04) Greg is joined by Indy Eleven coach Sean McAuley, and they break down the 4-0 win over Brooklyn on Tuesday. Coach talks about his satisfaction of Jack Blake’s two goals in the big win. McAuley also talks about what he is looking for in tomorrow’s matchup with Oakland Roots SC.  Segment 3 (21:04-28:41) We hear the post match interviews from Jack Blake and Bruno Rendón. They discuss the camaraderie within the team and how that contributes to selflessness in-game.  Segment 4 (31:41-43:43) The next international window is coming up, and Mohammed Omar will be departing from the team to represent Somalia. He talks about what this opportunity means to him, and also his thoughts on Indianapolis during his time here.  Segment 5 (46:43-56:50) Greg Rakestraw closes out the show with News and Notes from around soccer. He talks about the roster for the United States Men’s National Team for their upcoming friendly matches.

    Soccer Saturday - September 12, 2026

    Segment 1 (0:00-5:49) Soccer Saturday kicks off after a late night 2-2 draw last night against New Mexico United. This is the second consecutive 2-2 draw, after one last Saturday against Birmingham Legion FC. The starting lineup rotated a bit last night, as the team is facing three matches in the span of nine days. In last night’s match, the Indy Eleven came back to draw after being down 2-0. Segment (8:49-24:05) Host Greg Rakestraw is joined by Indy Eleven coach Sean McAuley as always. They break down last night’s match, and preview Tuesday’s matchup against Brooklyn. Coach McAuley explains his process for rotating the lineup and keeping his players fresh with these constant matches. He tells us what a day such as today is like, where he is focused on reflecting last night’s match and starting to prepare for the next match on Tuesday. Segment 3 (27:05-35:20) We hear from the goal scorers of last Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Birmingham Legion FC: Joe Hafferty who got the action started, and Dylan Sing who had the equalizer in the 98th minute. Segment 4 (38:20-53:46) Greg Rakestraw is joined by Rob Brown, and they discuss Premier League action. Rob discusses his trip to England to watch some footy, and his advice for others that may take the trip. Segment 5 (56:46-59:07) Greg Rakestraw closes the show by taking a look at high school and college soccer action.

    Soccer Saturday - 9/5/26

    Segment 1 (0:00-3:26) Greg Rakestraw opens the show by previewing tonight's home match and who is coming up on the show this week.  He also talks about the moves Indy Eleven has made in recent weeks in additions and subtractions to the roster.  Segment 2 (6:26-17:53) During this segment, the Head Coach of the Indy Eleven Sean McAuley joins the show for this weekly segment.  They recap last week's loss in Phoenix and what can be improved on going forward. Greg and Sean talk about what its been like playing in the heat and how that impacts matches. They talk about a rarity through the year in that every player was available and healthy in training this week. Greg and Sean look ahead to the Birmingham match later tonight and what stands out in their play.  Greg takes an up to date look at the USL Table at this point in the season.  Segment 3 (20:53-29:38) In this segment, one of the newest members of Indy Eleven Malik Henry Scott joins the show to talk about how his time in Indianapolis has been to this point. He talks about if he knew of anybody on Indy Eleven after his arrival.  He talks about what his role is going to be on the team after a couple of weeks in Indy. He talks about what it's like playing at Carroll Stadium and in front of the Brickyard Battalion now on the team instead of as an opponent. Segment 4 (32:38-44:02) For this segment, a former member of Indy Eleven now on the opponent tonight in Birmingham Romario Williams joins the show to talk about how his experience was during his time in Indianapolis for 15-16 months. He mentions who he still stays in touch with from his time in Indy. Romario talks about what it's like playing and living in Birmingham and what he's enjoying about his time down there. He talks about his favorite playing moment while playing for the Indy Eleven.  Segment 5 (47:02-56:46) To close the show for this week, Greg talks about the US Open Cup and how it will change in 2027 and where the Indy Eleven may slot into that tournament next year with the calendar changing. He mentions the new CBA for the USL and how long that contract is good for in 2030.

    Soccer Saturday - August 29, 2026

    Segment 1 (0:00-03:42) Greg Rakestraw opens today's show previewing the late matchup against Phoenix Rising FC later tonight.  Segment (06:42-22:12) Greg is joined by Indy Eleven Coach Sean McAuley. Sean breaks down last week's 2-1 victory over Louisville City FC and getting over the hump of previous struggles this season. He also comments on the performances of new acquisitions Joe Hafferty and Malik Henry-Scott. Coach McAuley closes out by explaining how matchups against Western Conference opponents can play to their advantage. Indy Eleven are 6th in the table going into tonight's matchup, and their quest for the playoffs is still alive.  Segment 3 (25:12-33:11) We hear post-match interviews from Jack Blake and Joe Hafferty following some previous matchups.  Segment 4 (36:11-49:03) Greg Rakestraw is joined by IU Indy Head Coach Angela Berry White. White shares what she learned in her first year as coach of the team, and how those lessons have applied going into this season.  Segment 5 (52:03-57:24) Greg closes out the show by taking a look at the early Premier League table.

    Segment One (00:00 – 3:47) – Greg Rakestraw kicks off another show by discussing the Indy Eleven’s first road win in league play over Jacksonville last night. He then previews the Eleven’s matchup against Louisville City!    Segment Two (6:47 – 20:31) – The 2nd segment of the show sees Greg interview the Indy Eleven’s head coach Sean McAuley! The two go over the road win over Jacksonville, with Coach McAuley giving his thoughts on who played well. They discuss the upcoming matchup against Louisville, as well as the challenge of working in two new players at this point of the year.     Segment Three (23:31 – 31:18) – Greg speaks to Alejandro Mitrano of the Indy Eleven! Greg and Alejandro discuss the season so far, Hispanic Heritage night, and preview the upcoming matchup with Louisville!     Segment Four (34:28 – 43:26) - Chloe Brecht of the Butler Women’s Soccer team joins the show! Chloe and Greg go over the Bulldogs resilience, Chloe’s decision to return to Butler for a 2nd season, her development with the Indy Eleven this past summer, and more!     Segment Five (46:26 – 56:50) - Greg wraps up the show by diving into some transfer news, the start of the Premier League season, and by looking ahead to the rest of the Indy Eleven’s season!

    Soccer Saturday - 8/15/2026

    Segment 1 (0:00-4:46) Greg Rakestraw opens the show by recapping last Sundays Match which was 1-1 draw with Hartford. He also previews tonight's match at Jacksonville.  He previews who and what is ahead on this week's edition of Soccer Saturday.   Segment 2 (7:46-17:38) During this segment, the Head Coach of the Indy Eleven Sean McAuley joins the show for this weekly segment.  He recaps the draw last week vs Hartford and looks ahead to tonight's match in Jacksonville.  He also talks about how all the rain and storms this week has affected training to prepare for the match. He talks about the day in the life on the road between this conversation and kickoff later tonight. Greg talks about the up-to-date USL standings and schedule going into this weekend.  Segment 3 (20:38-30:14) In this segment, the goal scorer from last week Edward Kizza joined the show via last week's postgame show to talk about what he saw in the run to make a play. Indy Eleven Goalie Eric Dick joined the show from last week's postgame show to recap the match and the draw producing save to secure a point.  Segment 4 (33:14-41:58) For this segment, The Head Marian's Women's Soccer Coach Justin Sullivan joins the show to preview their upcoming season as it gets underway next week. He talks about his roster and replacing those who graduated last year. Coach talks about his thoughts on the depth going into the season and how it will be a strength going into the season. He previews who he thinks are the biggest threats to winning the Conference Championship in the Crossroads League this season.  Segment 5 (44:58-) To close the show for this week, Greg talks Premier League Soccer that begins next weekend with the opening week schedule. Greg also talks about the MLS and the Leagues Cup against Mexican teams. He closes the show by talking about the USL in season Prince Tires Cup and the upcoming semifinal matches.
