Yom Kippur: The Day Sin Was Carried Away

Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Israel’s calendar, transcends mere ritual, plunging into the depths of divine mercy and human redemption. It's not just a ceremony of atonement; it's a prophetic roadmap pointing to Jesus, our ultimate sacrifice. The duality of the goats symbolizes purification and the deep scars of sin's separation from God. Yet, here's the twist: Jesus didn’t just carry our sins—He bore them on the cross, fundamentally altering our relationship with sin and forgiveness. This isn’t an invitation to complacency but a call to radical transformation—are you ready to leave your burdens behind and embrace true freedom?   For shownotes, visit janellkremer.com  Janell's "Discovering the Day of Atonement" Ebook: janellkremer.com/gods-appointed-times-2/

The Sound of Victory: The Shofar’s Call to Wake Up, Return, and Prepare for the King

The shofar is sounding. Are you listening? Throughout Scripture, the sound of the shofar was never random. It announced God's presence, sounded the alarm, called God's people to repentance, proclaimed freedom, gathered the people for battle, and announced the establishment of kings. And there is still a sound for this season. As we enter Tishrei and approach the Feast of Trumpets, the shofar confronts us with a question: Are we awake? Are we listening? Are we ready for the King? The final trumpet will sound. Jesus is coming back. But until that day, we have a voice. We have a testimony. We have something to proclaim. This episode is an invitation to wake up, return to your first love, stand firm in the battle, and remember that the King is coming. The shofar is sounding. In this episode of the You Are My Witnesses Podcast, we explore the rich Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic words translated as suffering to discover how Scripture describes physical pain, emotional grief, crushing burdens, persecution, and deep distress. More importantly, you'll see how every one of these words points us to Jesus, the Man of Sorrows, who entered every dimension of human suffering so that we would never face it alone. Consecrating the Summer: Following the Shepherd to Higher Places

In this episode of the You Are My Witnesses Podcast, we explore the powerful biblical theme of consecration through the lens of Pentecost, Israel's wilderness journey, and the timeless truths of Psalm 23. Discover how the summer season can reveal hidden distractions, expose modern-day "golden calves," and invite us into deeper intimacy with the Good Shepherd. Drawing from A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Philip Keller, you'll learn why God often calls us to leave familiar ground, trust His leading, and follow Him to the higher places He has prepared. We'll also unpack the life-changing wisdom of Proverbs 3:3-8 and what it means to trust the Lord instead of leaning on our own understanding. If you've been sensing God calling you deeper, wondering what He has for you in this next season, or struggling with distractions that are pulling your focus away from Him, this episode will encourage and challenge you to surrender fully and follow His voice. The Shepherd has already gone ahead of you. The question is: will you trust Him enough to follow?   For shownotes, visit janellkremer.com
