Overcoming Overwhelm, Fire Magic and Ladybugs

Send us Fan Mail The Sagittarius full moon has a way of telling the truth with a spark. We’re a week out from the May 31 full moon, and I’m using this cozy Coven’Chat to talk about what “bring the fire” can look like in real life: candle spell energy, transmutation, passion, and the kind of embodied movement that gets you back into your body. I also circle back to Beltane, because a ritual isn’t just a moment, it’s an arc, and sometimes the most powerful magic is simply returning to what you set in motion and closing the loop with care.  Then I share a few life updates, including co-hosting Belief Being And Beyond with Granddaughter Crow, where we keep coming back to belief, joy, and what lies beyond. From there we pull the card 701 from Mystic Michaela’s Angel Numbers deck, “Angelic Company”, and sit with the message that you are being protected. I offer a question I return to when my nervous system is braced: if I knew I was fully protected and everything would go well, what would I do differently? I also talk about asking for signs, believing them when they arrive, and why my ladybug story still feels like a living conversation with support.  The heart of the episode is the final chapter of my book Divergent Witchcraft: overcoming overwhelm. We talk frankly about how overwhelm can come from sound, light, information, social media, and a world that never slows down, and how many of us freeze rather than fight or flee. I share practical tools that reduce overwhelm without shame: checking sources so bad witchcraft info doesn’t spiral you, meditation and journaling as nervous system support, plus a spell to release overwhelm when you’re stuck in that couch marshmallow mode.  If this resonated, subscribe, share the episode with a witchy friend, and leave a review so more listeners can find Coven Chat. You Can Be A Witch Without Casting Spells

Send us Fan Mail Fear has a way of sneaking in through the smallest cracks, then suddenly it is everywhere: the news, the economy, your kids’ questions about the future, and the quiet moments when you realize you cannot plan your way out of uncertainty. We start with a Cozy Coven Chat vibe and a Gemini season shift, then pull angel number 777 from the Angel Numbers deck as a direct message: face fear, trust the divine, and release the need to control what happens next. I also share a simple meditation posture tip using your hands to signal receiving or grounding, because spiritual work is not just a belief system, it is also a body practice.  From there, we get real about what it means to come of age during turbulent times and why collective fear feels so intense right now. I talk through the kind of heart-to-heart conversations many parents are having and why shadow work keeps returning until we choose to meet it. Trust, to me, is one of the closest feelings to “holy” we can access, but it is not easy or automatic. It is a practice, and it often begins by admitting what you are afraid of without letting that fear run your life.  Then we shift into practical witchcraft: spellcrafting for beginners, neurodivergent witches, and anyone who has ever wondered, “Am I allowed to do this?” I break down a clear structure for creating your own spells with a pre-spell ritual, a strong spell format, and an after-spell ritual that includes the mundane steps that make magic stick. We also tackle common questions like whether you can be a witch without doing spells and what to do with spell remains in a sustainable, responsible way. If you want more confidence with spellwork, more clarity on correspondences, protection, cleansing, and grounding, and a kinder path to building your own practice, press play. Start Small And Finish Strong Under The Taurus New Moon

Send us Fan Mail The fastest way to change your life is to stop waiting for the “perfect” start and take one grounded step you can repeat. This week we’re working with the New Moon in Taurus and the steady, practical energy it offers: begin what you want to finish. That can look mystical and simple at the same time, like lighting a candle for your goal and also doing the tangible thing that moves it forward, naming the business, buying the domain, drafting the first line, opening the savings account, or starting the passport process. We also pull an angel numbers message, 144 “connect,” and talk about meditation as an act of listening. Instead of pushing for signs, we make space for guidance by tuning in through the crown chakra and letting wisdom meet us in the quiet. If your manifestations have been floating around since spring but still don’t feel embodied, Taurus season is an invitation to ground them into routines, choices, and real commitments. From there, we return to Divergent Witchcraft and the “Building Your Craft” idea: once you have a foundation, your path opens up into a choose-your-own-adventure. We reflect on allies like plants, crystals, animals, angels, tarot, and movement practices, plus how your environment and curiosity can shift what feels possible. I also share how magic becomes richer when it’s woven into everyday life, from kitchen witchcraft to sewing, crochet, and even blending Qi Gong with spellwork. If you’re craving a practice that feels steady, personal, and alive, come listen, then share what you’re beginning and what path is calling you next. Spirit Northwest Diary: What if Community is the Real Magic?

Send us Fan Mail Angel Number 955 hits like a spotlight: reconfigure your loving connections. We start with a card pull that’s oddly specific, then follow it into the real work of relationship magic, not just romance, but self-trust, friendship maintenance, family check-ins, and the way Beltane season asks us to nurture what we want to grow. I also share a simple, surprisingly powerful practice you can do anywhere: a self-hug as grounding, especially if you get overwhelmed, feel untethered, or live with neurodivergence.  I share about a first-time milestone I didn’t expect to be so emotional: traveling alone and staying in a hotel solo for the first time at almost 44, all to attend Spirit Northwest in Portland. I talk honestly about insomnia, ADHD-style sleep patterns, city disorientation, and the nerves of walking into a big pagan and witchy conference where you mostly know people from online spaces. Framed like a hero’s journey, the trip becomes a quest for belonging and validation I didn’t realize I needed.  I take you through the best moments: opening rituals, a Hathor-themed rebirth experience, teaching my class on crafting your own spells and rituals (and the relief of seeing people actually show up), plus standout sessions on elemental magic, psychic sleuthing, qi gong for grounding, hummingbird magic blended with culture and science, and Slavic fortune-telling that connects surprising threads across traditions. If you’re into witchcraft, pagan community, spell crafting, correspondences, ritual design, and real-world magical friendships, this one’s for you.  Subscribe, share it with a witchy friend, and leave a review. Birthday Magic, Beltane and a Scorpio Full Moon

Send us Fan Mail Happy Birthday to me! And a Merry Unbirthday to you! Your birthday is not “just another day” to get through. We treat it as a solar return, a rare reset point where your personal astrology loops back to the beginning, making it prime time for intention setting, spellwork, and a little fearless self-celebration. If you’ve ever let your birthday slide by without honoring yourself, we offer a simple fix: save the birthday candle and turn it into a ritual tool when you have time, so the magic still lands.  Then we jump into Beltane energy at full volume: pleasure, flowers, creativity, and the kind of play that actually restores you. With a Scorpio full moon arriving at the same time, the vibe gets extra witchy, intense, and unapologetic. We talk practical Beltane ritual ideas you can do with kids or on your own, why dancing counts as real magic, and how your body can be part of your spiritual practice instead of something you have to manage or deny.  A tarot pull, the Eight of Wands, ties it together with one message: communicate clearly and do it now. We explore what you’re holding back, how direct words can transform a stuck situation, and why being more yourself is worth the nerves. We also go deep on moon magic and lunar cycles, including a more inclusive set of moon phase archetypes: Wild One, Warrior, Nurturer, and Elder, plus how to track moon phases alongside sleep, mood, and daily life.  If you like witchcraft, tarot, moon phases, Beltane rituals, or astrology-inspired self-growth, subscribe, share this with a witchy friend, and leave a review so more people can find us. Stop Inviting Spirits Over Without A Plan

Send us Fan Mail Taurus season always tells the truth through the body. I share why the days leading up to my birthday can feel like a full-on skin shed, then why the rest of the season brings me back to confidence, glow, and steady energy.  Our tarot pull is the Two of Swords, and it lands like a gentle challenge: are you spending enough time alone with your own thoughts, or are you trapped in your head and spiraling. We talk boundaries in a totally connected world, what it looks like to protect your focus, and how news and social media can hijack your nervous system before your feet even hit the floor. Taurus season gives us a practical fix: feed your senses on purpose so your intuition can breathe. Then we go deep on spiritual protection and casting a circle, including why so many Ouija board stories end badly when people dabble without protection or a closing practice. I walk through common signs your energy is too open, why empaths and tarot readers need consistent psychic protection, and simple options you can actually use daily: evil eye jewelry, talismans, protective crystals like obsidian or tourmaline, black salt, prayer, and calling on Archangel Michael. The biggest takeaway is simple and powerful: cleanse first, then protect. If this resonates, subscribe, share it with a witchy friend who needs stronger boundaries, and leave a review so more people can find Cozy Coven Chat. What’s your go-to protection practice right now? Aries New Moon Reset: Let's Harness the Flame

Send us Fan Mail The energy has been heavy for a lot of us, and I can feel the collective need for a clean restart. This week’s Cozy Coven chat leans into the Aries new moon on April 17, a fire-sign reset that nudges us out of winter sluggishness and back into movement. I share a simple new moon candle magic practice to invite fresh momentum, clear obstacles, and light that inner flame again, especially if you have felt like you are treading through sand.  We also pull the Ace of Cups from the Magical Hours Tarot, and it lands perfectly with the lunar theme: emotional beginnings, heart healing, and the brave act of asking yourself how you really feel. I talk about why this card matters for intuition, self-care, and making choices that actually nourish you, not just choices that look good on paper. If you love tarot, astrology, or modern witchcraft, this pairing of Aries fire and Cup energy is a powerful way to set intentions that stick.  Then we zoom out into divergent witchcraft basics that too many people skip: the elements. Earth, air, fire, water, and spirit show up everywhere, from calling quarters and casting a circle to the pentacle, tarot suits, seasonal magic, and spell correspondences. I share different ways practitioners place elements in the compass directions, why you do not need deity devotion to do strong magic, and how elemental work can make protection less draining by connecting you to a larger current of energy.  Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a spark, and leave a review with the element you are focusing on right now. Your Altar Can Be Unworthy of Social Media And Powerful

Send us Fan Mail You’re allowed to celebrate what you actually celebrate. We start with a real world, guilt free take on Easter and Ostara, including why so many spring symbols overlap, how folk magic has long lived alongside Catholic and Christian traditions, and how to make any holiday feel witchy without forcing yourself into someone else’s rules. If you want to dye eggs with sigils, bless your sweets, or just honor the season between Ostara and Beltane, do it! From there, we move into spring as “go time,” Our Coven's theme of Bloom, and the idea that blooming is a rite of passage you can choose on purpose. I share what’s coming up for me, including teaching in person again and heading to Spirit Northwest in Portland, plus all the nerves and excitement that come with traveling alone and stepping into a new chapter. If you’ve got conference tips, I’m listening. We pull the King of Wands from the Magical Hours Tarot and talk Aries season energy, vision, and how to actually get things done without tipping into burnout or ego. Then we dive into altars as the heart of the home, with practical altar ideas for small spaces, broom closeted witches, and anyone tired of “perfect” social media setups. We close with a quick but important reality check on divine feminine healing, how to spot red flags online, and why balanced inner energy matters for every gender. Check out my substack for an altar look book.  https://substack.com/@jennycbell?
