    Clint Yoder and Cory McClendon from Yoder’s Talk

    In this episode, Clint and Cory take us through their faith journey’s. Each grew up believing, but had some extremely tough roadblocks they had to overcome. The path to each of their relationships with God will melt your heart. Their passion is to lead with purpose, something they reflect in their business and every day life. They explain that being a Christian isn’t just sitting in church, it is being the church. Clint and Cory have a successful podcast together, called Yoder’s Talk, produced by the talented Shawn Glenn. Their aim for excellence is seen in this part of their life as well, as they gracefully allowed me to be on their podcast, showing me the ropes.     Pastor Andy Heis

    In this episode pastor Andy talks about his journey from hating going to church as a kid to becoming the pastor of one of the biggest churches in Cullman. As a young man he made the decision to start living for Christ and never turned back from this choice. Living in obedience, he saw his life fall into place. Andy listened to his calling to start a church here in Cullman, where all people are welcome. He says he loves when people come to church for the wrong reasons, but stay for the right one. Andy knows first hand what it’s like to fall victim to legalistic religion, he helps to set people free from this through the love of Jesus.     John Williams

    In this episode John talks about his journey of living the American dream. He went from being raised by a single mom not having much, to being a successful business owner. John and his wife are high school sweethearts and are an incredible force for good in the community. John talks about the way he raised his sons to stand out, and to always aim up. John explains his passion for fitness and the connection of physical fitness to spiritual fitness. Him and his wife also started a poultry farm, which is hard and humbling work. John is a great example of a Godly person. He is a mentor to many young men, something he feels is important as he knows what it’s like to grow up without a father. I know this episode will leave you inspired to chase your dreams while building up those around you. John and his wife own the gym “live fit” In Jones Chapel. They also are the owners of Mustardseed EarthworX and First Fruit Farms.

    Cheryl Potter

    In this episode you will get to know the lovely Cheryl Potter. She shares the heart wrenching story about the adoption of her two girls. She explains how God had perfectly orchestrated their new family structure. Cheryl’s passion and love for children didn’t stop there. Her and her husband are doing amazing work for children in Uganda and the Philippines. They bring a light and a hope to the darkness these children are living in. I wonder what our world would look like if we could all be more like Cheryl and Kip.     The Leonardi Boys

    In this episode I’m speaking with Samuel, Michael and James. Mandy and Joseph Leonardi raised their boys to be the most polite kids, always ready to lend a hand. The interview was conducted in between the riding of electric scooters and what seemed to be a live remake of wrestle mania. The main thing that seemed important to each of them was to help others, and pray for those that are sick, and also to pray for their dog. It was a different interview for sure, as I found that children do not elaborate on questions haha! It’s a lighthearted episode, just something a little different for you to listen to this week.

    Pastor Ory Hampton

    In this episode Ory explains the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. You are the average of the 3-5 people you surround yourself with. Ory has worked in ministry for 18 years now, and has always had a heart for helping people. He wants others to succeed. He is currently working at Haven Counseling Services of Cullman and is a director of development at Cullman Christian School. Ory stresses the importance of Jesus’ command to love each other, and lives by this. He is a great example of someone that lives by the word and reflects the character of God.

    Evidence for Skeptics

    Happy New Year!!! This episode is a little bit different. I’m going over some of the book “have you ever wondered” by Russ Whitten. This book helped me walk through some of the evidence laid out in the Bible and explains historical truths. The book explains the unlikelihood of the Bible being made up, it is backed up by historical documents and science. I will be back with an interview next episode.

    Pastor Kip Potter

    In this episode Kip explains how to be a disciple. We are not on this earth to pursue selfish ambition. He explains the difference each of us can make in people’s lives. We can make a difference to anyone from our next door neighbor, all the way to the ends of the earth. The passion Kip has for helping people is inspiring. If we were all a little more like Kip and his wife, the world would be a very different place. You will help make a difference in these children’s lives, and can even personally meet them by joining a missions trip!!
