    Episode 3 My First Mugging.

Moving to Ankh-Morpork has been... an adjustment. Between the odd smells, bureaucratic thieves, and suspiciously literate rats, it was only a matter of time before trouble found me. In this episode, I get my first real taste of local "hospitality"—in the form of a mugging. Fortunately, help arrives in the most unexpected form: Captain Carrot, a walking, talking Discworld legend in shiny armor. Meanwhile, Mona Lisa proves she's not just a pretty trunk, Uncle Frank's journal gets weirder, and I learn that even crime comes with paperwork here. Join me as I limp, hobble, and sidle my way deeper into Discworld chaos, trying to survive, make sense of it all, and maybe even find some local currency before things get even stranger.

Sidleways Episode 02 Season 01 The Mended Drum, My Local Boozer.

🎧 Sidleways – Episode 2: The Mended Drum, My Local Boozer So. The bookshop moved again. It does that. And now we’ve landed somewhere louder, smellier, and — somehow — drunker. Welcome to Ankh-Morpork. In this episode, I follow the trail of magical breadcrumbs to a tavern that may or may not serve fermented reality, where the Librarian might be drinking off an interdimensional headache. Along the way, we encounter enchanted furniture, disappointed patrons, and the subtle horror of ordering a beer in a place where you should’ve probably ordered a sword. There’s also a journal, a trunk with an attitude, and a minor physics violation involving books that close themselves. 📚 About the ShowSidleways is a narrative fiction podcast inspired by the worlds of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. Who Has Two Thumbs and a Bookshop?

Sidleways is a fan-made audio adventure inspired by the Discworld novels of Terry Pratchett. When a bookshop inherited from a mysterious uncle turns out to be tied to the multidimensional chaos of L-Space, our narrator is pulled into a strange, sideways version of Ankh-Morpork — where magic, bureaucracy, and talking dogs are just the start of the weirdness. Episodes blend original storytelling with references to the Discworld universe, exploring a familiar-yet-offbeat world full of sapient pearwood, guild politics, and suspiciously sentient rodents. 🟢 New episodes dropping regularly. 🎧 Listen on Spotify, Apple, Google, YouTube, and wherever books rearrange themselves.
