I gotta say, never has anything manifested itself so flawlessly as this show. The premise is perfect, and so is the cast! Combining the thrill and intrigue of the Public Library with the crucial civil service that is Hollywood Art takes both societal pillars to new heights! It’s an absolute blessing to have stumbled upon this show’s premiere. I was in dire need of new content, and Checkout Cinema is a bountiful feast offered freely to my impoverished soul. I obviously can’t watch movies because of my inhibitions. Having cultural touchstones tenderly reheated, delicately sliced, freshly marinated, properly masticated, blended up just to be safe and then carefully poured deep into the waxy tunnels of my mind is just as good as it gets in this life! Better than life itself are the hosts! Janine’s honey-crisp voice and thorough research take you through the scenes so clearly that I feel as though I know the movie better than if I had watched it myself. Amelia’s witty and wise perspective offer a down to earth whimsy, elating and uplifting you into the heavens like the stars of Hollywood themselves. Absolute masterpiece of a podcast! I certainly can’t wait to… check out… the next episode!
