Soup, Silver, and Shadows | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 50

Leaving the Black City is, in theory, the easy part. In practice, this party has never met an “easy part” they couldn’t make emotionally complicated. After the chaos of the Crimson Court, the party prepares to depart Drogmalhar with final words from Prince Lariel, a farewell from Valroth, and one small but heavy reminder for Zelphira: Virelia’s ring. Because apparently one emotionally devastating family heirloom was not enough. With Requiem leading the way, the party begins the long road back to Slavoka. And for once, they find something almost suspiciously rare: Peace. No court assassinations. No vampire politics. No public betrayals. Just wilderness, allies, and enough quiet for everyone’s unresolved feelings to start making eye contact. Naturally, Karina uses this moment to investigate Requiem’s portable hole, where Plop has apparently been storing ingredients for what can only generously be called “experimental soup.” A meal is made. Questions are raised. No one is legally prepared to call it food. But even comedy has teeth in Stravia. For Requiem, the soup stirs something darker: a terrible voice, the scent of blood and dried flowers, and the lingering shadow of Selene. Meanwhile, Reginold returns Zelphira’s pendant, not only found, but masterfully repaired—a quiet, careful act of devotion from a prince who apparently expresses affection through craftsmanship and emotional damage control. And just when the road begins to feel safe, Nyx receives an unexpected visitor. His father. Because nothing says “peaceful travel episode” quite like family showing up with plot implications. The party has left the Black City behind. Mostly. But the things they carry are starting to speak. And some of them have teeth. ⸻ Highlights 🏰 The party departs Drogmalhar after the Crimson Court 👑 Prince Lariel offers parting words 🖤 Valroth reminds Zelphira of Virelia’s ring 🌲 Requiem leads the long road back to Slavoka 🕳️ Karina investigates Requiem’s portable hole 🍲 Plop makes experimental soup, allegedly 🌹 Requiem is haunted by blood, dried flowers, and Selene’s lingering shadow 📿 Reginold returns Zelphira’s repaired pendant as a sign of devotion 🐺 Nyx’s father arrives at the end of the episode, because peace was apparently getting too comfortable ⸻ 👉 Like, subscribe, and ring the bell to follow the campaign live and never miss an episode. ⸻ Hashtags #DungeonsAndDragons #DnD #DnD5e #ActualPlay #TTRPG #ShadowsOfStravia #FateCasters #Drogmalhar #Slavoka #Nyx #Requiem #Zelphira #Reginold #PrinceLariel #Valroth #SeleneBlackheart #Karina #Plop #DarkFantasyDnD #FantasyDrama #DnDIntrigue #GothicFantasy #EmotionalRP #DnDRoleplay #livednd Support the show

Cloves and Consequences | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 49

You would think the most dangerous moment of the night would be the one where blades were nearly drawn in the Crimson Court. You would be wrong. Because the real damage begins after the spectacle ends. After the votes. After the eyes turn away. After the room stops watching. And the party is left alone with what they’ve done. They return to their chambers not in triumph, but in urgency—seeking privacy, safety, and something dangerously close to control. But even before the doors close behind them, something is already missing. Zelphira feels it before she sees it. The pendant—her mother’s final gift, a piece of Virelia that still lingered at her throat—is gone. And for a moment, everything else fades. Politics. Victory. The fragile balance of the court. Gone. Because grief does not wait for convenience. Requiem does not hesitate. But even as the past threatens to slip through their fingers, the present refuses to stay quiet. Smiley Tinkersmith delivers at last—an enormous commissioned painting, equal parts absurd and immortalizing, capturing the party in a way that feels both celebratory and uncomfortably permanent. A legacy, whether they are ready for one or not. And then— the air shifts. Because Sevran arrives. Not announced. Not invited. Not delayed. He simply appears, carried on magic and the unmistakable scent of cloves, stepping into their space as though he has always belonged there. He has been watching. He has been waiting. And now, as the tides begin to turn in the party’s favor, he comes with an offer. A deal. Because men like Sevran do not appear when things are uncertain. They appear when they believe they already know who will win. And what they can gain from it. But power and politics are only part of what lingers in the quiet. Because in the space left behind by chaos, something far more dangerous begins to surface: reflection. Zelphira is left alone with the weight of her choice—sending Seran toward death on a lie carefully crafted to secure her position. A necessary move. A successful move. A devastating one. And Requiem, drawn ever closer to the very thing that anchors her to this world, finds herself standing at the edge of something she cannot afford to fall into. Because closeness is not harmless for her. It is not safe. It is not neutral. It is a boundary that, once crossed, may cost her everything. What follows is not a battle. Not a vote. Not a spectacle. But something quieter. Something sharper. Two souls sharing space, water, and silence—while everything unspoken presses just beneath the surface. The court may be over. But the consequences have only just begun. So gather close. The war has not paused. It has simply changed shape. And sometimes the most dangerous moment is not when the blade is drawn— but when you finally have time to realize what you’ve done. ⸻ 👉 Like, subscribe, and ring the bell to follow the campaign live and never miss an episode. #DungeonsAndDragons #DnD #DnD5e #ActualPlay #TTRPG #DnDCampaign #FantasyRPG #DnDStory #ShadowsOfStravia #FateCasters #CrimsonCourt #Drogmalhar #Nyx #Requiem #Zelphira #Sevran #Seran #SeleneBlackheart #Virelia #CourtAftermath #PoliticalIntrigue #DarkFantasyDnD #FantasyDrama #DnDIntrigue #DnDLore #DnDWorldbuilding #VampireCourt #PowerAndConsequences #CharacterDrama #GothicFantasy #EmotionalRP #DnDRoleplay #livednd Support the show

Last Will and Testament | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 48

You ever get the feeling someone is acting just sentimental enough that you should immediately start checking for hidden motives, sealed letters, and possible last words? Because this episode begins with Nyx doing something deeply unsettling: being sincere. Not chaotic. Not evasive. Not even especially theatrical. Just… sincere. Behind closed doors, he asks to speak with Requiem alone — and what passes between them is not quite confession, not quite farewell, and not nearly as simple as either of them would probably like. There is sentiment in it. There is weight. And there is the unmistakable feeling that when Nyx starts putting his heart into words, the universe should probably brace itself. Then come the gifts. Hand-stitched Bloody Buddy patches, of all things — strange, personal, absurdly thoughtful in exactly the way that makes them feel more dangerous than they should. And to Requiem, something even heavier: his will. Which is, admittedly, not the sort of thing one hands over casually unless one expects the day ahead to go very, very badly. And unfortunately for everyone involved, the day ahead includes the Crimson Court. The great lords of vampire nobility gather at last in all their finery, pride, and suffocating self-importance to cast votes on matters that could reshape not only Stravia, but the balance of power far beyond it. This is not a private scheme in candlelight. This is not a whisper in a corridor. This is power brought into the open — formal, ancient, and sharpened to a ceremonial edge. Every word carries consequence. Every vote carries threat. And every smile in the room is hiding teeth. But while the court prepares to deliberate the future of nations, Nyx arrives with plans of his own. Because of course he does. And whatever the Crimson Court expected from this gathering, it was almost certainly not Nyx deciding to make himself part of the proceedings in a way no one can safely ignore. Which would already be enough to make the room volatile. If not for one more danger waiting beneath the surface: Seran. Because somewhere beneath the pageantry, old grief is still breathing. Old fury is still waiting. And the question hanging over the court is no longer just what will be decided— but whether blood will be spilled before the decision can even stand. Will Seran finally carry out his plan for vengeance and strike down Selene Blackheart in open court? Will Nyx’s surprise tip the balance of the entire summit? And when ancient power, private grief, and public spectacle collide beneath one roof, will anyone leave the chamber unchanged? So gather close. The court is in session. The knives are smiling. And when the world begins to shift, it rarely does so quietly. The Things We Try to Bind | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 47

You ever watch someone attempt the magical equivalent of “this has definitely never worked before, but tonight feels lucky”? Because this episode begins with the party doing the one thing no one in Stravia should ever do lightly: bringing a cursed blade, impossible ritual components, and a dangerous amount of hope to Karina. And not for some tidy little enchantment, either. No—Karina is about to attempt a ritual never before successfully completed: to seal Oathrender, the infamous blade of Eldric Thorne, a weapon with enough blood in its history to qualify as a war crime in object form. This is not just a question of whether the blade can be bound. It is a question of whether something forged through slaughter, legacy, and ruin can ever truly be contained— and whether Eldric himself can survive what it takes to try. Because sealing a weapon like this is not the same as putting it away. It means confronting what it is. What it has done. What it still wants. And in Stravia, the line between ritual and disaster is usually about three seconds wide. Then, as Drogmalhar holds its breath on the eve of the summit— with the great houses preparing to gather, judge, scheme, and cast their votes— the tone shifts. Slightly. Suspiciously. Prince Reginold comes to Zelphira bearing gifts. Not as a general. Not as a rival house. Not even entirely as a political ally. But as something quieter. Something more careful. Something that asks, perhaps for the first time, not what Zelphira can represent— but who she is when no one is watching. And in the privacy of her chambers, on the night before everything may change, Zelphira opens herself more than she has with anyone else. More than strategy. More than posture. More than control. What passes between them is not yet simple. It may never be simple. But in a city built on masks, bloodlines, and ambition, even a moment of honesty can feel more dangerous than violence. This episode stands at the edge of two thresholds: one arcane, one intimate. A cursed blade may be sealed. A broken legacy may resist burial. And somewhere between ritual circles and quiet conversation, the future of Stravia may begin turning on things far more fragile than power. So gather close. The blade is waiting. The summit approaches. And on the night before judgment, some hearts prove far more difficult to bind than any weapon. A Court of Thorns and Roses | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 46

You smell that smell? That smelly smell? That smelly, smelly, smell? Because this episode opens not in a dungeon, not in a council chamber, and not in anything resembling reality— but in a dream. Or a vision. Or a trial. Or whatever category applies when Nyx is led by his own shadow and Doctor Plop into the heart of a fey court ruled by the goddess Nyx herself. There, beneath impossible beauty and even more impossible judgment, a case is brought before the court. The prosecutor of mortals becomes the accused. And standing trial before thorns, silk, and ancient power is none other than High Inquisitor Seraph Thrynn, called to answer for the grave offense of prosecuting a fey. Sebastian the fox, naturally, serves as barrister. Because in this campaign, dignity is always invited, but rarely survives. What follows is less a legal proceeding and more a fae-shaped ambush of truth, memory, pride, and cosmic pettiness — the kind of courtroom where every word matters, every symbol means something, and the wrong answer may cost more than blood. Then, in a rare and suspiciously peaceful turn, the party goes shopping. Karina needs rare supplies, which means the group descends into the sort of errand that can only happen in Stravia: equal parts magical procurement, eerie detour, and possible brush with forces no one fully understands. What they find is a shop unlike any other — run by a strange proprietor and stocked with curiosities that seem too whimsical, too impossible, and too enchanted to be trusted. Treasures. Oddities. Temptations. Little wonders that may or may not be real. For Plop, it is paradise. For the rest of the party, it is either a brief moment of delight or the beginning of yet another terrible mistake. Probably both. This episode trades blood and seduction for dreams and absurdity, but do not get too comfortable. In Stravia, even a shopping trip can feel like a trap, and even a dream can become a judgment. So breathe deep. The court is in session. The roses have thorns. And somewhere between the scent of enchantment and the stink of consequences, the party may discover that the strangest thing in the Black City is not the magic— it is the hope that anything here might be simple. 🌙 Nyx is led by shadow and Plop into a pseudo-dream fey court 🦊 Sebastian the fox serves as barrister for a truly impossible case ⚖️ High Inquisitor Seraph Thrynn stands accused of prosecuting a fey 🌹 The goddess Nyx presides over a court of beauty, danger, and old power 🛍️ The party goes shopping for Karina’s rare ritual supplies ✨ A strange shopkeeper offers magical curiosities that may or may not be real 🎭 And what begins as a dream and a detour may become something far stranger System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Campaign: Shadows of Stravia Episode: 46 – A Court of Thorns and Roses 👉 Like, subscribe, and ring the bell to follow the campaign live and never miss an episode. Blood, Silk, and Bad Ideas | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 45

Nyx receives the kind of message that never leads anywhere healthy: a discreet request from Karina to acquire a sample of Selene Blackheart’s blood. Because in Stravia, apparently, “small favors” now include light espionage, potential treason, and whatever fresh nightmare Karina is brewing in her lab. While Nyx spirals with entirely reasonable concern, Doctor Plop and High Inquisitor Seraph Thrynn are, naturally, drafted into emotional support duty — which is to say, the party pauses just long enough for a deeply cursed therapy session before hurling themselves back into the abyss. Meanwhile, Zelphira and Reginold deliver the blood to Karina and uncover the truth: she is attempting the impossible. A ritual never before completed. A binding for Oathrender. An act of magical hubris so severe it can only be described as either brilliant, catastrophic, or both. And then, because things were somehow not yet dire enough, Requiem sets out to help Nyx… and ends up somewhere infinitely worse: alone, in the private quarters of Selene Blackheart, inside the lair of the spider herself. In a city already drowning in secrets, this episode trades open conflict for intimate danger — the kind wrapped in velvet, perfume, and the very real possibility that one wrong word could end in seduction, manipulation, or sudden death. So step carefully. The blood has been collected. The ritual has begun. And in Stravia, entering Selene Blackheart’s chambers alone is what experts call a catastrophically bad idea. 🩸 Karina asks for a sample of Selene’s blood 🕷 Nyx seeks highly questionable emotional support ⚔️ Zelphira and Reginold uncover a forbidden magical experiment 📜 Karina attempts the first-ever binding of Oathrender 🕯 Requiem walks straight into Selene Blackheart’s private quarters 💋 And the most dangerous battle of the night may not involve a weapon at all System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Campaign: Shadows of Stravia Episode: 45 – Blood, Silk, and Bad Ideas 👉 Like, subscribe, and ring the bell to follow the campaign live and never miss an episode. The Crimson Court | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 44

The party barely has time to recover before the scent of cloves leads them straight back into danger. After the chaos in Drogmalhar’s streets, they pursue Sevran in a desperate attempt to catch him before he vanishes once again — and before whatever dark purpose drives him slips further out of reach. But one threat quickly becomes many. Suspicion turns toward Selene Blackheart, and the party takes a dangerous gamble: follow her. What they uncover only deepens the rot at the heart of the Black City, as Selene meets in secret with an associate of the Order of Bone — proof that the schemes unfolding in Drogmalhar run deeper, darker, and deadlier than they feared. And then, with tensions already razor-thin, the first meeting of the Crimson Court begins. In a chamber full of monsters dressed as nobles, every word is sharpened, every smile conceals a threat, and Selene has plans of her own for the party. Dirty plans. Lethal plans. The kind of plans that do not end with everyone walking out alive. So take your seat. The court is in session. The knives are polished. And in Stravia, survival is never guaranteed — especially when Selene Blackheart is smiling. 🩸 The party hunts Sevran through the Black City 🌫 The scent of cloves returns once more 🦴 Selene meets secretly with the Order of Bone 🏛 The first Crimson Court meeting begins ⚔️ Political warfare turns brutally personal 🕯 And the party may not survive what Selene has in store System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Campaign: Shadows of Stravia Episode: 44 – Secrets and Summits 👉 Like, subscribe, and ring the bell to follow the campaign live and never miss an episode. Beer and Cloves | Shadows of Stravia | Episode 43

The party has arrived in Drogmalhar, the Black City… and after strategy meetings in a bubble bath, naturally, there is only one logical next step: drinks. With the Crimson Court looming and political disaster brewing by the hour, the group takes a brief detour into the city’s tavern scene, seeking dwarven ale, a little comfort, and perhaps one single evening without catastrophe. At Ember’s Rest, they find good beer, warm light, and the fleeting illusion that maybe — just maybe — they can enjoy five consecutive minutes of peace. Naturally, this does not last. What begins as a well-earned night out quickly sours when an old enemy resurfaces in the streets of Drogmalhar, bringing with them fresh horrors, rising danger… and the unmistakable scent of cloves. Because in Stravia, even a casual tavern crawl comes with trauma, suspicious aromas, and at least one deeply inconvenient combat encounter. So raise a glass. The ale is local. The city is hostile. And something wicked this way comes — apparently marinated in spice. 🍺 The party samples the Black City’s tavern life 🛁 The bathroom war council comes to an end 🏛 Drogmalhar proves peaceful for almost several minutes ⚔️ An old threat returns with frightening new allies 🌫 And somehow, ominously… cloves System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Campaign: Shadows of Stravia Episode: 43 – Beer and Cloves 👉 Like, subscribe, and ring the bell to follow the campaign live and never miss an episode. ⸻ Hashtags #DungeonsAndDragons #DnD #DnD5e #ActualPlay #TTRPG #DnDCampaign #FantasyRPG #DnDStory #ShadowsOfStravia #FateCasters #BlackCity #Drogmalhar #CrimsonCourt #DnDPolitics #DarkFantasyDnD #DnDDrama #DnDParty #DnDLore #DnDWorldbuilding #LiveDnD #TabletopGaming #FantasyPolitics #DnDIntrigue #FantasyTavern #DnDCombat #DnDCharacters Support the show
