How To Build a Life System That Protects Your Energy - Design Personal Structures That Sustain You

What if your burnout isn’t a sign that you need to try harder—but a sign that the way you’re managing your life no longer supports you? When you’re used to being the reliable one, it’s easy to keep saying yes, pushing through, and feeling guilty when you need to rest. From the outside, you may look like you’re handling everything. On the inside, you may feel exhausted by the effort it takes to keep up. In this episode, I talked about how the system structures we sometimes use in business can help us make more intentional choices at home. A personal system is simply the activities and decisions that help to get a particular result. However, when it comes to recovery, the question is whether your current system is helping you build the life you want. I share why I’m focusing on my marriage and business in this season, and how that clarity helps me decide what deserves my time and energy. We’ll also talk about setting boundaries without guilt, making room for sleep and rest, and using practices like the 80/20 principle to focus on what matters most. If you’ve been trying to do it all, this is an invitation to pause and ask: What do I actually want my life to feel like? You can build routines that support that answer, one choice at a time. 🦸🏾‍♀️ WHAT'S REALLY CAUSING YOUR BURNOUT? Burnout doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't look the same for everyone. Stop Chasing Everything, Start Choosing What Matters - The Art of Choosing What Comes First

If you feel like everything is urgent, important, deserves attention, and everything somehow falls on you — this episode was designed with you in mind. Superwoman Syndrome thrives in environments where boundaries are unclear, expectations are unrealistic, and priorities are constantly shifting. But when you start viewingyour life the way a business owner runs a company, prioritization becomes clearer. And suddenly overwhelm becomes manageable. When it comes to prioritization, many people think it’s about doing more. The truth? It’s about choosing what actually deserves your attention right now. When you don’trecognize your limits, you overcommit. In business, that might look like using outdated pricing or systems that no longer serve your goals. In life, it looks like holding onto habits, roles, and expectations that don’t fit who you are becoming. This episodeinvites you to reverse that pattern. When rebuilding your life, YOU are the client. Your needs, goals, and well-being should always come first. The System Behind Meaningful Goals - Design a Life That Actually Prevents Burnout

Goal setting isn’t just for businesses to be more successful…it also serves as the blueprint to allowing you the space to run your life with intention. Most of the time we think that we fail because we aren’t “good enough.” Many times we just have unrealistic expectations or are unaligned with what we truly desire. In this episode, we talk about trusting the process and how to make small shifts more tangible in your daily life. Listen to your mind and body and start keeping score that way. Data and numbers are not going to help you be more productive or manage burnout. The truth is: Sometimes it’s not the goal that’s the problem; it’s the way we chose to implement it. As high achievers, we can be too rigid or disconnected from what truly matters to us. If you’re wondering how you can set goals that don’t just make you “produce more” but actually support your wellbeing, you’ve come to the right place. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit administration, event planning, and operations management, I specialize in helping women break free from Superwoman Syndrome—theconstant pressure to do it all. Want Peace? Get Clear on What Actually Matters.

Do you know what you want? And if you do, are you actively living in a way that places that at the forefront each day? Probably not. The last two episodes focused on burnoutand knowing your “mission.” But without clarity, being aware of these two things won’t matter. You won’t know how to get there because you will be too distracted from the noise of everything else going on in your life. Clarity is the key to success - and without it, you will continue to spin your wheels. Most people mistake their lack of productivity from not completing all of the things that they set out todo. In reality, it's their lack of direction that is slowing them down and making it more difficult to reach their goals.  In this episode we talk about the importance of knowing what you want, and how to use that direction to impactyour focus on what matters. This podcast is dedicated to rewriting the narrative on doing it all and steering the focus on prioritizing your mental health, working with intention (not overwhelm), and creatingspace for the lifestyle you actually want – not just the one you’re expected to maintain. Be the CEO of Your Life - Ditching Superwoman to Lead With Vision

This episode talks about knowing your mission and vision – but as the CEO of your life. Originally, we touched on why having a clear direction in your business is the key to success – and starts with knowing your M and V. But just like a business must enact the right things to move the needle forward in the direction that they want – you must do the same for your life if you want to be fulfilled. Imagine how much more aligned your life would be if you took this approach rather than just letting things “happen” on the daily. To be effective, you don't have to produce a TON of work, you just need to do the RIGHT work. Your vision and mission ultimately drive you to your end goal – Business And Personal. This podcast is dedicated to rewriting the narrative on doing it all and steering the focus on prioritizing your mental health, working with intention (not overwhelm), and creating space for the lifestyle you actually want – not just the one you’re expected to maintain. No Cape Needed - Re-Introducing From Burned Out to Bossed Up

In this inaugural re-release of From Burned Out to Bossed up, I revisit my original podcast episode that focused on systems, productivity, and entrepreneurship. While the general concept of burnout and how to manage it has not changed, I realized that the impact of burnout isn’t just important because it impacts productivity – it’s important because it can potentially damage your mental health over a long period of time. It’s a dangerous cycle that repeats because of one’s mindset – but all we ever hear anyone say is to take a vacation or a walk in the park to fix it. Most of the time people aren’t working hard simply because they are committed to the task. We’ve been conditioned as a society to believe that how “hard” someone works is a direct reflection of their worth as a human being. Not only is that false, but it’s a message rooted in capitalism, makes your superiors rich, and leaves you grinding yourself to deterioration over time. For this reason, I don’t believe the key to success is working hard, it’s working smart(with purpose and a plan). This podcast is dedicated to leading the narrative on prioritizing your mental health, working efficiently and effectively, and still enjoying the lifestyle you truly desire. With over 20 years of experience from retail and hospitality to event planning and operations management, my primary focus is on educating and execution on business systems, maximizing productivity, and self-care routines and habits. When I'm not on the microphone, I enjoy helping entrepreneurs structure their businesses in a way that doesn't just serve their clients - but serves them as well by prioritizing their self-care and purpose.
