    S2 E2 Brother Alex Errington

Alex Errington was born in Sacramento California, and raised in Wright, Wyoming and Buena Vista (pronounced Byoo-nah Vhis-tah), Virginia. He is the middle child of 5 children. His mother was a homemaker and held many different jobs during Alex’s late teens and on. His father was a dragline operator for a surface coal mine in WY and maintenance worker at Southern Virginia University in Virginia. As a child and youth Alex enjoyed baseball, camping trips, scouting, Civil Air Patrol, Civil War Reenactment Group, and attending early morning seminary. After high school he spent a year in California earning money to serve a mission. He served in the Poland Warsaw Mission. He was shy and didn’t like talking to people but he learned to rely on the Lord and love the Polish people he served. He had many times when he felt the hand of the Lord guiding him in his service. He learned that if he wanted to be a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ he would need to be willing to serve wherever the Lord needed him. Following his mission, he was prompted to come directly to Kansas, where his oldest brother was living. Alex lived with him and his family while he got a job and began attending college. He received his Associates degree from Butler Community College in pre-engineering, and was working toward his bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, when he decided to change his career path and get his airframe and power plant mechanics licenses and become an aircraft mechanic. He currently works for Ballard Aviation in Newton Kansas. One of the exciting things he gets to do there is travel the world, inspecting or working on potential aircraft that his company purchases. He has traveled all over the US, also Canada, Portugal, Malta, Ivory Coast, and the Philippines. While serving on the institute council, soon after his mission, he met his wife Michelle. They were sealed in the Oklahoma City Temple in 2009. They have 4 loving children, 1 daughter and 3 boys. They enjoy going camping together and going for walks together. His hobbies include camping, shooting, reading war history books, and family vacations to visit family. In his church service, Alex currently serves as the stake executive secretary. His past callings include ward young men’s president and scout master, elders quorum president, counselor in the bishopric, assistant ward mission leader, counselor in young men’s presidency, counselor in elders quorum presidency, and institute council member.

    S1 E23 Brother Hyrum Atkinson

Hyrum Atkinson was born in Udall, Kansas, and spent much of his youth moving frequently, rarely living in one place for more than a year or two. He is one of seven children and grew up in the middle of a busy, lively home with a devoted single mother who raised six of the siblings; one of his older sisters lived with their father. Hyrum has two older sisters, an older brother, two younger sisters, and a younger brother. From a young age, he developed a fascination with creating and building, nurturing a desire to become a maker capable of bringing ideas to life through hands-on creativity. Although a full-time mission didn’t feel right for him at age eighteen, the decision not to go left Hyrum feeling somewhat isolated, and he eventually stopped attending church. Several years later, seeking direction and new challenges, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Stationed primarily at Camp Pendleton in California, he also deployed to Bahrain. Before joining the Marine Corps, he had worked in a variety of blue-collar positions, driven by a personal goal to understand every step of building a home. These experiences shaped both his work ethic and his appreciation for practical skill and craftsmanship. After his military service, Hyrum began regularly attending church again, an important milestone in his personal spiritual path. During this period of transition, he spent some time working as an asphalt inspector, piddling around in the field while considering his next steps. Ultimately, he decided to pursue further education and enrolled at Wichita State University, where he is now studying mechanical engineering. His love of creating continues to grow, and he has become deeply involved in 3D printing both as a hobby and as a developing skill he hopes to integrate into a future business venture. Hyrum currently serves as the second counselor in the Wichita YSA bishopric and as a temple ordinance worker. He previously served on the stake high council.

    S1 E20 Sister Kristen Bailey

Kristen Bailey grew up in South Jordan, Utah, surrounded by the love of her parents and two siblings. Even though not all of her family members were active in the Church, Kristen developed a deep and abiding love for the gospel of Jesus Christ at a young age. Her parents, especially her mother, supported her in her faith—making sure she attended church each Sunday and occasionally staying with her during meetings. After high school, Kristen felt a strong desire to serve a mission. Her mother even guessed correctly where she might be called. Kristen received her assignment to serve in the Nauvoo, Illinois Visitors’ Center, which included Carthage, and later spent eight months in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. Her mission became a defining experience, strengthening her testimony of the Restoration, her love for the Savior, and her understanding of Heavenly Father’s love for all His children. When she returned home, Kristen pursued her education—first at BYU–Idaho and then at Wichita State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. She moved to Kansas to date her best friend, Jason, and their friendship grew into something eternal. On July 29, 2006, they were sealed in the Nauvoo Temple. After years of waiting and struggling with infertility, they were joyfully blessed with twin daughters, who have been a source of light and happiness ever since. Motherhood has brought Kristen immense joy. She worked part-time from home while raising her girls, and in those early years, she was deeply grateful for the love and support of family, friends, and ward members who eagerly helped with two newborns. Eventually, she chose to become a full-time stay-at-home mom, cherishing the chance to watch her daughters grow. Now that they are in middle school, she has returned to working part-time as a graphic designer outside the home. In addition to her love for family and faith, Kristen enjoys riding her bike along the river, playing games with her family, camping, and spending time outdoors. She also has a creative spirit, often finding joy in painting and other artistic projects. Throughout her life, Kristen has remained steadfast in her love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. She has served in many callings—including Young Women, Relief Society, and Primary—and finds special joy in ministering. For her, one of life’s greatest blessings is the opportunity to love, serve, and befriend those in her ward family.

    S1 E19 Brother Tobias Conrady

Tobias Conrady was raised in Conway Springs, Kansas, the middle of three brothers. His mother worked full-time as an aircraft electrician, and his father served as an aircraft tester and inspector. As a youth, Tobias enjoyed playing football and baseball, exploring history, and riding along with his grandfathers to check crops and inspect cattle. At age 19, Tobias enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving ten years on active duty and an additional three years in the Kansas Air National Guard in signals intelligence. It was during his military service that he and his family were introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ—first through co-workers, then senior missionaries, and ultimately through traditional missionary discussions.  While stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland, Tobias met his wife, Judy. They were sealed in the Oklahoma City Temple and have built a close-knit and loving family with five children—three daughters and two sons. Their home has also welcomed others into its circle, including a quasi-adopted son and, more recently, a grandson through their married daughter. Tobias earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management and has cultivated a dynamic career in the construction industry, with roles spanning sales, insurance, estimation, and project management.  His hobbies include watching and studying baseball, taking road trips with his family, and engaging in thoughtful discussions on politics and economics. In his Church service, Tobias currently serves as a high councilor, stake Young Men’s secretary, and nursery leader. His previous callings include bishopric counselor, ward clerk, elders quorum counselor, and Gospel Doctrine teacher.
