Hi I'm Rob Boyd an English photographer from the UK. I decided to create this Podcast talking to international photographers whose work I truly love. I realised I knew nothing about these amazing people apart from their names and their stunning work. So I created a set of hopefully entertaining questions that finds out who they are what they love.

    My guest is Lars from Frankfurt. Lars has a unique way of seeing the world. Thanks to his research, dedication, great eye for details and his trusty super wide angle lenses he creates utterly breath taking scenes. Lars had a breakthrough moment when he embraced full on vibrant colour and mastered his settings. He finds locations around the globe that allows us as a viewer to see the world in a unique spell binding way, even if you have visited the location shown before it never look as spectacular as way Lars can capture the scene.

    My guest is Betty from Singapore. Betty has a magical, surreal way of viewing the world and creates other worldly images. I love the way Betty's work has feeling without context or reference points, in Betty's own words a glimpse into the subconscious I have many photographers tell me Betty has been one of the biggest influences over the years, sharing her experiences and outlook on life

    My guest is Gianluca An Italian photographer who lives in London. I came across Gianluca’s work years ago before knowing what street photography was, his work inspired me back then to create my current images and style. I love the variety in Gianluca’s work, he has tried everything and in turn gives himself the freedom to create so many varied scenes and captures. Gian Luca created two books Japan Meltdown and LSD - lock down street diary.

    @mark.fearnley

    My guest is Mark from London. Mark is well known throughout the international street photography community, instantly recognisable dressed head to toe in black, ripped jeans and rock n roll attitude to life and is one of the kindest and considerate people I have the pleasure of knowing. Mark is constantly busy, from hosting his workshops, scoping out locations, Festival participation; judging, talking, photo walks and even more workshops. Mark has an artists eye, whether taking architecture, portraits, abstracts or scenes his artist background can be clearly in everything he does. Mark has just released the art of solitude his book 10 years in the making and is finally available to buy

    @swendeluk

    My guest is Sara a Swedish photographer from London. Sara is one of those amazing positive, down to earth people with incredible photography and social skills that just allows her to create magic. Sara blows me away with her use of deep shadows in conjunction with stunning colours and tones, her lighting of a scene goes unnoticed as her scenes just ooze vibrancy and positivity. I have known Sara for the years but only recently met in person at this Years Dublin street festival, she has always been kind with her advice and always shares her knowledge with anyone who asks.

    @laurarphoto

    My guest is Laura from Washington DC. Laura has and amazing eye for details, colours and tones, Laura manages to create complete scenes using all the details in her surroundings rather than just concentrate on single element. I love the way Laura sees the world, such a positive, warm and dream like feel to her work, her command of light and shadow then blends into the warm tones and colours completing the scene of all the small details seen through the lens.

    @chrisharrison_photo

    My guest is Chris from Brighton. Chris has un usual approach to photography in that the majority of his work is taken in a 5 mile radius from his house. Brighton has a melting pot of constantly changing scenes, mixed with seasonal changes and Chris’ abstract work this allows Chris to use his local surroundings as a canvas with stunning results. Chris is also one of those patient photographers that wait at a scene until all the elements come perfectly together to create what is in his head. I was lucky enough to see Chris give an inspirational talk at the Dublin street festival in May and see how his creates his stunning work. Watch this space for a new work on the horizon.

    @bouwe_brouwer

    My guest is Bouwe from Sneek in the Netherlands. I love the way Bouwe views the world, he sees all the little things we miss, a whole new way of looking at the world without the limits of labels or rules, sharing his vision takes skill and patience. Bouwe compares Street photographers to skateboarders, the way they both share their tips and inspirations and anyone can join in and try, I love this comparison and so true of the street photography community. I was luckily enough to listen to Bouwe talk and spend time with him at the Dublin street photography festival and found him to be one of the kindest and most giving people with a wicked sense of humour.
