    Play Up Podcast - Episode 46 - General Histrionics leads to QPR loss

    Welcome back to the Play Up Podcast with host Scott Mclachlan who is this week joined by Phil, Kim and Simon. Pompey kicked off the new season with a disappointing loss at home to QPR and we discuss it at length. Was it the uncommanding and uncommunicating defence? The massive hole in midfield left by General Histrionics? Or can we throw Colby Bishop under the bus for being a crap Captain? At least there were positives in the second half from the subs who came on, especially the 17 year old Ryan Kavuma-McQueen. We look ahead to Saturday and the trip to Lincoln, can Pompey get their season back on track with a win? Let's keep everything crossed, Play Up Pompey!

    Play Up Podcast - Episode 45 - 26-27 Season Opener Special!

    Yes, this is where the season really starts, not with the Moose Cup or whatever the League Cup is called these days. Join host Scott Mclachlan who is ably assisted by no less than five collaborators in this bumper Season Launching Pod. Phil, Kim, Simon, Reece and Adam all discuss what may or may not happen this season, who will go up and down and who they really want to do the Double over. We cover the West Ham game, but really, who cares? Phils Quiz is in honour of Abu Kamara and is about players having two spells at Pompey, can you guess who they are from their career?     Play Up Podcast - Episode 44 - Table for Abu Kamara?

    Welcome again to the latest episode of the Play Up Podcast with host Scott Mclachlan and our European contributors, Adam and Simon. First up we get a flavour of the Darmstadt weekend and friendly, over a thousand Pompey fans made the trip and saw a decent run out between two good teams. We look forward to the first competitive game of the season, a first round League Cup game away at West Ham with 9000 tickets sold and it should be a typical Pompey away trip to the Smoke. Will Pompey progress to the second round? With West Ham in disarray it could be the perfect chance to capitalize in the Capital. Abu Kamara is on his way back!  He may have already signed by the time you listen to the Pod but will he be any good? Is the right wing problem FINALLY solved?     Play Up Podcast - Episode 42 - End Of Season 25-26 Review

    Is John Mousinho about to leave Pompey for Bristol City?  Its looking likely but there is plenty to be optimistic about for next season with or without the Head Coach and his impossibly white trainers. In this final episode of the 25-26 season Scott, Phil and Reece look back on how the season panned out, what were the successes, failures and challenges with our season review.     Yes, look, we know there's more Tankers getting through the Straight of Hormuz than recent Play Up Podcast episodes but we have to plead Quality over Quantity...and stick to that absolute lie. Welcome to the penultimate one then for this season and we discuss three matches in Ipswich, Leicester and Stoke (we're ignoring Coventry) and the run that secure our safety. Phil's quiz this week is on Player of the Season winners throughout the years, how many did you get right? We also discuss the Pompey Supporters Trust Supporter Survey and the indication that opinion on spending levels for the player budget are shifting.
