Episode #48 - The Unofficial Maritime Wrestling Podcast

Episode 48 of the Unofficial Maritime Wrestling Podcast recaps a huge weekend of wrestling across the Maritimes, covering three promotions, three cities, and a whole lot of gold on the line. We kick things off in Nova Scotia with UCW’s Blizzard Bash from the Spryfield Lions Rink. We break down the UCW Tag Team Championship showdown between the Hollywood Heathens and the N.W.O., Rudy Lockhart defending the Atlantic Canadian Championship against Anthony “Duce” Harlem, and Chip Chambers putting the UCW Heavyweight Championship on the line against J.P. Simms, along with a stacked card featuring talent from across the region. From there, we head to New Brunswick for CCW’s Clash 41: New Year’s Clash at the Capital Exhibit Center in Fredericton. We recap the Fatal Four Way to determine the #1 contender for the NBWA River Valley Championship, multiple women’s division matchups, the chaotic NBWA Tag Team Championship Ladder Match between Crued Oil and Ace Dynasty, and the NBWA Heavyweight Championship main event featuring Rugged Rick Owens and Zane Valentine. We close out the episode in Moncton, NB with North Pro’s Kickstart My Heart at Tide & Boar. From the VIP opener featuring The Mauler James Manning and Oni Bjornsson, to championship bouts for the PWO Trios, Northern Star, and North Pro titles, this show rounded out an incredibly busy weekend. Three shows. One massive weekend. Episode 48 breaks it all down... Maritime wrestling style.

Episode #46 - The Unofficial Maritime Wrestling Podcast

This week's Episode #46 of the Unofficial Maritime Wrestling Podcast is our shortest episode yet, but there’s still plenty to cover. With no upcoming shows this weekend, we recap the two events that took place on January 10th. First up is Kaizen Pro Wrestling’s Battle Royale from Alderney Landing in Dartmouth, NS. We break down Sebby’s huge night, winning both his singles match and the Battle Royale to become the new #1 contender, only to be laid out by the new Kaizen Stable "New Revolution" after the match. We also cover Sidney Sweetie’s scramble win, Covey Christ’s DQ victory after Joey White’s interference, and more. Then we move to Superstars of Wrestling’s Bound in Chains, recapping both rounds of the SOW Cruiserweight Championship Tournament and how Fantana and Alex Robins advanced to a future title match. We also discuss the Dog Collar Match that crowned Dick Durning as the new SOW Heavyweight Champion. The episode may be short, but we’re not done. Tune in at 9pm for our interview with “The Alberta Clipper” Chevron, where he talks about his dislike of "The One" Spike Estey, previews two major upcoming matches, Crued Oil vs Ace Dynasty in CCW's first ever Ladder Match for the NBWA Tag Team Championships on January 24th and a one-on-one Dog Collar Match against Spike at IPW's Final Frost on February 28th. Then Chevron heads down a rabbit hole with Marc you won’t want to miss. Thanks to everyone for supporting the Unofficial Maritime Wrestling Podcast.
