24 Hours Ain't Enough & Trying to Keep It Together

If you've ever looked at the clock and wondered where the entire day disappeared... this episode is for you. This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, I'm keeping it all the way real about juggling work-from-home life with a growing baby, managing businesses, motherhood, sports schedules, school chaos, and still trying to find time for myself. We're talking about surviving longer wake windows, figuring out how to maximize the same 24 hours everybody gets, balancing multiple kids with multiple schools and sports, and why sometimes a long phone call with your best friend is the best therapy money can't buy. Plus... let's get into the stress of deciding whether to rent or sell a home, unexpectedly running into an ex (because WHY, universe?! 😂), surviving the night before the first day of school, and taking an honest look at where my self-control and discipline have gone—and how I'm planning to get them back. If you're trying to balance motherhood, work, relationships, personal growth, and life without completely losing your mind... come pull up a chair. You're definitely not alone. 🎧 New episodes every week! 📧 Email: highlytalkative@gmail.com 📸 Instagram: @highly.talkative 📘 Facebook: Highly Talkative Podcast 🎧 Listen Everywhere: Spotify • Apple Podcasts • YouTube • iHeartRadio • RSS RSS: https://rss.com/podcasts/highlytalkative #HighlyTalkativePodcast #PodcastLife #MomLife #WorkingMom #WorkFromHomeMom #MotherhoodUnfiltered #ParentingJourney #SelfDiscipline #PersonalGrowth #LifeBalance #BackToSchool #BusyMom #SportsMom #WomenWhoPodcast #MillennialMom #BlackPodcasters #BlackMoms #PodcastCommunity #NewPodcastEpisode #ListenNow #SpotifyPodcasts #ApplePodcasts #YouTubePodcasts #RealTalk #LifeLately

This week on Highly Talkative, we're talking about EVERYTHING! Is catfish and spaghetti a real meal? 😂 We're also breaking down Texas' controversial new THCP law, back-to-school shopping struggles, solo dates and self-love, the infamous "three wash rag" debate, heartbreaking cases making headlines in Mississippi, and whether SMARTTags on school buses give parents more peace of mind—or too much reliance on technology. Plus, I want to hear from YOU! Which local influencers, business owners, or community leaders should I interview next? Email your suggestions to highlytalkative@gmail.com. Cute Cups, Better Attitudes & Building Independent Kids

This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, we're talking about EVERYTHING from home upgrades to life upgrades. 🏡 Is carpet really worth it anymore or is hardwood flooring the better investment? 🥤 Why do some of us have an unhealthy obsession with buying cups? Stanley...HydroJug...Simple Modern...if it's cute, it's probably coming home with me! 😂 👀 We're also doing an attitude check-in! My oldest has been making some amazing improvements, we're talking about my own attitude, and my youngest son's personality that keeps us laughing. Then we dive into one of my favorite conversations... Not everyone is raised the same. Different homes create different perspectives, values, habits, and expectations. Sometimes we forget that people simply don't think like we do because they weren't raised the way we were. As parents, one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is independence. Teach them to: ✔️ Pay their own bills. ✔️ Take care of themselves. ✔️ Build their own stability. ✔️ Never depend on someone else just to survive. Because love should never come from necessity. This is one of those conversations that'll have you laughing one minute and reflecting the next. 🎧 Let's talk! 📲 Follow Highly Talkative 🎙️ Listen & Subscribe SpotifyApple PodcastsYouTubeiHeartRadioRSS Feed: https://rss.com/podcasts/highlytalkative📧 Email highlytalkative@gmail.com 📱 Instagram @highly.talkative 📘 Facebook Highly Talkative Podcast 💬 Don't forget to: ⭐ Rate the podcast ⭐ Leave a review ⭐ Share your favorite episode ⭐ Tell a friend to listen #HighlyTalkativePodcast#PodcastRecommendations#PodcastLife#ParentingPodcast#MomLife#FamilyTalk#Adulting#LifeLessons#PersonalGrowth#FinancialFreedom#RaiseIndependentKids#BlackPodcasters#WomenWhoPodcast#SpotifyPodcasts#ApplePodcasts#PodcastCommunity#HomeImprovement#HardwoodFloors#InteriorDesign#StanleyCup#HydroJug#SimpleModern#CupCollector#MillennialMom#SelfGrowth#RealConversations#TrendingPodcast#NewEpisode#SupportBlackCreators#ListenNow

Growing at Your Own Pace & Trusting the Process

This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, we're talking about growth in every sense of the word—our kids, ourselves, and our mindset. Why do we expect every child to develop on the exact same timeline? Are milestone charts helpful, or do they sometimes create unnecessary anxiety for parents? I'm sharing my thoughts on why comparison can do more harm than good and why every child's journey deserves to be respected. I'm also opening up about my own mindset shift. From creating a vision board to becoming intentional with my habits, I'm learning that the future I've always imagined is starting to feel more real. We'll talk about discipline over motivation, staying organized, and how your daily habits shape the life you're trying to build. We'll also dive into my spiritual journey, why I've become more interested in spirituality, the conversations around religion vs. spirituality, and how comforting it was realizing I'm not the only person asking these questions. Plus, can we talk about baby gear?! Why is finding the "perfect" travel stroller harder than buying a car? 😂 Nine years later and everything seems twice as expensive! I'll also share what traveling solo with an infant was really like, what made the trip easier than expected, and the must-have items I wouldn't leave home without. Sometimes growth isn't loud—it's simply trusting the process. 🎙️ Listen & Subscribe RSS: https://rss.com/podcasts/highlytalkativeAlso available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, and YouTube.📧 Contact Email: highlytalkative@gmail.com📱 Follow on Social Media Instagram: @highly.talkativeFacebook: Highly Talkative Podcast💬 Join the Conversation What parenting milestone made you worry that you didn't need to? One Boat, Too Many Questions & Friend Groups That Just DON'T Work 😳

I learned a valuable lesson... I will NEVER record another podcast while my son is awake AND having a sleepover! 😂 The show had to go on, but y'all are definitely going to hear the chaos. This week we're diving into whether it's actually possible to successfully merge friend groups without everything becoming awkward. How many chances do you give it before accepting that some friendships just don't mix? And let's be honest...how many group chats do we really have? We're also discussing the heartbreaking death of Noah Wells and the many unanswered questions surrounding what happened over the Fourth of July weekend. We'll talk about the timeline, why so many people are questioning the events, and whether parents are wrong for being cautious when their child is the only Black kid in a friend group or neighborhood. Plus...unexpected expenses. Those random charges, forgotten subscriptions, double payments, and the frustrating wait to get YOUR money back after it's already disappeared from your account. We've all been there. 💬 Question of the Week: Have you ever successfully meshed different friend groups together? Email your story to highlytalkative@gmail.com—your response could be featured on a future episode! Am I Smarter Than a 4th Grader?! Therapy Fails, Dating Standards & Why Discipline Always Wins

This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, we're getting real about the life lessons that have been humbling me lately. My oldest challenged me to stop cursing...and surprisingly, it actually worked. 🤯 Now I'm paying closer attention to what comes out of my mouth and realizing just how much influence our kids really have over us. We're also talking about why elementary school homework suddenly feels harder than I remember (seriously...what ARE they teaching these kids?! 😂), how I accidentally skipped therapy for TWO whole weeks (yes...I know 😩), and why some people only want to be heard without ever listening to anyone else. Plus... 💰 Are side hustles becoming mandatory in today's economy? ❤️ Are my dating standards unrealistic...or am I simply refusing to settle? 🔥 Why discipline—not motivation—is the real secret to reaching your goals. This episode is funny, honest, relatable, and packed with conversations that'll have you reflecting on your own life while laughing right along with me. 🎧 Listen now on your favorite podcast platform! Everyone Has an Opinion... So Let's Talk About It ⭐

This week on Highly Talkative Podcast, Baby Lady L joins me once again as we dive into everything from creating a more intentional life to breaking down some of today's biggest conversations. We're talking about waking up with purpose instead of simply reacting to whatever the day throws at us, setting realistic goals, and giving ourselves room to grow without lowering our standards. We'll also discuss the latest developments surrounding the ongoing legal proceedings in the Karmelo Anthony case, what an appeal could involve in general, why trial strategy—such as whether a defendant testifies—is often complex, and the questions many people are asking as the case continues. Then we're switching gears into money—because it's time to start learning! We'll discuss investing, understanding the stock market, beginner-friendly approaches, common questions about getting started, and why financial education matters. We'll also compare wills vs. trusts, discuss probate, estate planning, and why planning ahead matters no matter your age.
