This week, he joins Brent and Mikaela to share how he began recognizing Christ’s presence in his life... and how that changed the way he cares for others. From birthday-cake ingredients delivered at just the right time to a prompting that helped put his newborn son near lifesaving medical care, Adam’s stories are heartfelt, sometimes hilarious, and full of reasons to show up. We also talk about marriage, listening without trying to fix everything, and learning that you don’t have to serve perfectly to help someone feel loved.     Elisha Trask grew up surrounded by homelessness, addiction, and abuse. When she was six years old, she prayed for help during a terrifying encounter with her father—and saw two men dressed in white appear behind him. That moment taught Elisha that she could call on God. Years later, urgent spiritual impressions would lead her to pray for her son while he was in danger on a mountain, find her toddler moments before a devastating fall, lock a door just before someone tried to enter, and offer messages of love to strangers carrying private grief. Elisha also shares how Jesus Christ helped her break the cycle of abuse—not by instantly removing every harmful impulse, but by giving her the opportunity to choose a different response. This tender conversation is an invitation to listen more closely, pray more intentionally, and act when someone is placed on your heart.     S2 Ep67: Short Story Wednesday -- The Beach & Big Goals

    This week’s Short Story Wednesday is a little different. We’re sharing two recent moments from our own lives that have had us thinking a lot about gratitude, purpose, and what might be ahead. First, we share a little about our recent trip to the Oregon Coast—a place that holds a lot of meaning for Mikaela. Years ago, she went there during one of the hardest seasons of our infertility journey, wondering why the one thing she wanted most still hadn’t happened. Seven years later, we returned to that same beach with our two kids running through the sand. It was a beautiful reminder that some of the things we have today are the very things we once prayed desperately for. Then we share some pretty big dreams for the future of Angels Among Us. We don’t just want to grow a podcast—we want to use this platform to become angels for other people. Whether that means helping with groceries or bills, helping a family with adoption or IVF, or simply being there for someone who needs it. We don’t know exactly where this journey will take us, but we’re putting the dream out there—and we’re grateful you’re along for it. Go look for those angels. 🤍
