In this episode of The Recharge Biomedical Podcast, Dr. Ed Park sits down with William Bosch — founder of Iconic Protein and Longevity, and now CEO of LongevityX — to trace his journey from corporate exit to longevity coaching. William left a job at Shell to found Iconic, a zero-sugar, grass-fed protein drink brand, back in 2011, well ahead of the market. He scaled it into a nationwide brand carried in big box stores, raised tens of millions in capital, and eventually exited. But the road there ran through two personal health crises: a high-cholesterol, high-stress diagnosis in his late 20s that pushed him toward proper nutrition (and inadvertently seeded the idea for Iconic), and a case of undiagnosed shingles with Bell's palsy in his late 30s, brought on by the stress of a hostile takeover during Iconic's growth. That second crisis, paired with an epigenetic test that clocked his brain age at nearly 50 despite his real age in the high 30s, became the catalyst for LongevityX — a virtual coaching practice built to serve as, in his words, "the COO of your health" for busy executives and founders. The company runs advanced diagnostics, and coordinates nutrition, sleep, supplement, and advanced-therapy protocols, without replacing a primary care physician. William lays out his central philosophy: longevity is roughly 80% lifestyle and 20% supplements or advanced therapy. He ranks sleep as his highest-ROI lever, describes eating fiber before protein and carbs to blunt glucose spikes, and voices skepticism about GLP-1 drugs used without accompanying diet and resistance training. He's experimented with peptides, stem cell therapy, and young plasma injections, but is candid that overuse of therapies like HGH can visibly age or distort a person's appearance. He also credits a formative conversation with his grandmother — who, in her 80s and losing her memory to dementia, told him that helping people gain healthy years back "should be your mission in life" — as the emotional throughline behind LongevityX's approach: not living forever, but living well for longer. - - - - - Connect with Dr. Ed Park Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dredpark/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dredpark/?hl=en Website: www.rechargebiomedical.com Recharge Biomedical | Substack - - - - - PODCAST Thank you for listening.
