I want to talk about the British monarchy through a spiritual and theological lens—not simply to criticize or romanticize it, but to ask what leadership, inheritance, service, responsibility, and legacy mean when enormous cultural weight has been entrusted to you. And perhaps this conversation isn't only about monarchy. In this update, I share what I’m noticing now, what has changed in my interpretation, and what London continues to teach me about discerning cities, history, culture, power, and spiritual atmosphere. One of the most important parts of spiritual maturity is allowing your interpretations to grow. Seeing is one thing. Understanding what you saw can take much longer. If you found me, you're very welcome here. What happens when someone confidently says, “God showed me”—but the revelation isn't true? The Old Testament doesn't avoid this problem. It confronts false prophets, deceptive visions, presumptuous messages, and people claiming divine authority for words God never gave them. In this video, we'll look at what Scripture says about lying visions and, more importantly, what those passages can teach spiritually sensitive people today. Because learning to hear God isn't only about becoming confident in revelation. It's also about becoming humble enough to test, question, correct, and sometimes admit that we interpreted something incorrectly. Most likely to argue with God?Most likely to disappear into the wilderness?Most likely to do something completely bizarre because God told them to?Most likely to see something nobody else could see? We’re having some fun with the personalities, stories, strengths, and absolutely wild moments of the Old Testament prophets. But underneath the humor is something important: God worked through dramatically different personalities. The prophets weren’t interchangeable spiritual superheroes. They had different temperaments, assignments, communication styles, weaknesses, and relationships with God. And maybe understanding that gives us permission to stop trying to become somebody else in order to hear Him. If you found me, you're very welcome here. When Scripture says, “the word of the Lord came” to a prophet, what actually happened? That phrase can sound incredibly straightforward until you start asking practical questions. What did they hear? What did they see? How did they know it was God? Did revelation arrive as words, visions, dreams, internal knowing, supernatural encounters—or something else entirely? In this deeper teaching, we’ll examine how prophetic revelation actually appears in the Old Testament and what Scripture does—and does not—tell us about the prophets’ experiences. Because if you’re learning to hear God, one of the most freeing discoveries can be realizing that God did not communicate with every biblical prophet in exactly the same way. Your relationship with God doesn’t have to look identical to someone else’s. Cook food in a way that would make almost anyone ask questions. The Old Testament prophets were… interesting. In this video, we’re looking at some of the strangest prophetic acts recorded in Scripture—and, more importantly, why God asked prophets to communicate this way. Because biblical prophecy wasn’t limited to standing behind a microphone and delivering a message. Sometimes the prophet’s actions became the message. And that raises an important question for people learning to hear God today: How do you discern something unusual without automatically assuming unusual means unbiblical—or assuming every unusual idea came from God? That’s where mature discernment becomes essential.
