    #273 2026/03/04（水） If you were reborn, who would you want to be? 生まれ変わったらなってみたいな、 と思う人の1つが、スポーツが得意な人です。 最近、NBAの河村勇輝選手にハマっています。 170cmで小柄なのですが、頭の横や後ろに 目がついているのかな？と思うようなパスが本当にすごくて、 二回見ないと、何が起こったかわからない時があるほどです。 皆さんは、生まれ変わったらどんな人になりたいですか？ うまれかわったら なってみたいな、とおもう ひとの ひとつが すぽーつが とくいな ひとです。 さいきん、NBAの かわむら ゆうき せんしゅに はまっています。 ひゃく ななじゅっせんちで こがらなのですが、 あたまの よこや うしろに めが ついているのかな？と おもうような ぱすが ほんとうに すごくて、 にかい みないと、なにが おこったか わからないときが あるほどです。 みなさんは、うまれかわったら どんな ひとに なりたいですか？ One person I'd like to be if I were reborn is someone who's good at sports.     #272 2026/03/03（火） Do you leave before the end credits? こないだ、映画館で気づいたことがあります。 よく、映画が始まる前に、映画館でのマナーについての 映像が流れるのですが、最近、 「エンドロールが終わるまで、携帯などの 画面が光る物を、使わないでください。」 という注意を、よく見るようになりました。 確かに、エンドロールが終わるまで、席を立つのを 待つ人が、昔より多くなったように感じます。 皆さんはどうですか？ こないだ、えいがかんで きづいたことがあります。 よく、えいがが はじまるまえに えいがかんでの まなーについての えいぞうが ながれるのですが、 さいきん、「えんどろーるが おわるまで、けいたいなどの がめんが ひかるものを つかわないでください。」 という ちゅういを、よく みるようになりました。 たしかに、えんどろーるが おわるまで、せきを たつのを まつひとが むかしより おおくなったように かんじます。 みなさんは どうですか？ The other day, I noticed something at a movie theater.     #271 2026/03/02（月） The beautiful origin of the words “sakura” 昔の人は、山に神様がいると思っていて、 山の神様を「サの神様」と呼んでいたそうです。 春になると、サの神様が山から降りてきて、 木の上にある「御座（みくら）」で休んで、花を咲かせました。 そして、昔の人は花の下でお酒を飲み、歌い、 今年もお米がたくさん獲れますように、 と神様にお願いしたそうです。 これが「桜」と「お花見」の語源と言われています。 春が待ち遠しいですね。 むかしの ひとは、やまに かみさまが いると おもっていて、 やまの かみさまを「さの かみさま」とよんでいたそうです。 はるに なると、さの かみさまが やまから おりてきて、 きの うえに ある「みくら」でやすんで、はなを さかせました。 そして、むかしの ひとは はなの したで おさけを のみ、うたい、 ことしも おこめが たくさん とれますように、 と かみさまに おねがいしたそうです。 これが「さくら」と「おはなみ」の ごげん といわれています。 はるが まちどおしいですね。 Many years ago, people believed gods lived in the mountains, and they called the mountain gods “Sa no kamisama.” When spring arrived, the gods descended from the mountains, rested on their “throne (Mi-kura)” on the top of trees, and make flowers bloom. Then, people would drink sake and sing under the blossoms, praying to the gods for lots of rice harvest that year. This is said to be the origin of the words “sakura” (cherry blossom) and “hanami” (flower viewing).     #270 2026/02/27（金） Fun fact about Nihonbashi 昨日、日本橋の話をしたので、 日本橋に関する豆知識をご紹介します。 日本の橋には、必ず入口と出口があり、入口には漢字の看板 （例:日本橋）、出口にはひらがなの看板があります。 （例: にほんばし） 昔は、全部の道路の始まりは日本橋、と言われていて、 今は違うようですが、日本橋に近い方が橋の入口、 遠い方が橋の出口だったそうです。 日本の橋を渡るとき、ひらがなの看板と、 漢字の看板を見つけてみてくださいね！ きのう、にほんばしの はなしを したので、 にほんばしに かんする まめちしきを ごしょうかいします。 にほんの はしには、かならず いりぐちと でぐちが あり、 いりぐちには かんじの かんばん（れい:にほんばし）、 でぐちには ひらがなの かんばんが あります。 むかしは、ぜんぶの どうろの はじまりは にほんばし、 といわれていて、いまは ちがうようですが、 にほんばしに ちかいほうが はしの いりぐち、 とおいほうが はしの でぐち だったそうです。 にほんの はしを わたるとき、ひらがなの かんばんと、 かんじの かんばんを みつけてみてくださいね！ Since we talked about Nihonbashi yesterday, here's a fun fact about it. All bridges in Japan have an entrance and an exit. The entrance has a kanji sign (e.g., 日本橋), while the exit has a hiragana one. (e.g., にほんばし) Many years ago, it was said that all roads began at Nihonbashi bridge. While that's no longer the case today, the side closer to Nihonbashi was considered the bridge's entrance, and the farther side was the exit. Next time you cross a bridge in Japan, try to spot both the hiragana sign and the kanji sign! 【Today’s words】 日本橋 （にほんばし） / The city and bridge name that is close to Ginza and Tokyo Station. A major commercial center in the Edo period (1603-1867), it was the starting point of the five major roads across Japan, and distances are still measured from here.     #269 2026/02/26（木） Beautiful udon restaurant in Nihonbashi また先週末の話ですが、ずっと行きたかった、 日本橋にあるうどん屋さんに行きました。 各テーブルに、ふたがついた箱のような物があって、 そこから薬味を好きなだけとれるお店です。 和風の店内もきれいで、天丼も最高に美味しかったので、 日本橋・東京駅・銀座エリアでランチしたいときに、 ぜひ行ってみてください。 また せんしゅうまつの はなしですが、ずっと いきたかった、 にほんばしに ある うどんやさんに いきました。 かく てーぶるに ふたが ついた はこのような ものが あって、 そこから やくみを すきなだけ とれる おみせです。 わふうの てんないも きれいで、てんどんも さいこうに おいしかったので、 にほんばし・とうきょうえき・ぎんざ えりあで らんちしたいときに、 ぜひ いってみてください。 This is about the last weekend again, but I finally went to that udon place in Nihonbashi I'd always wanted to try. It's the kind of place where each table has these box-like things with lids, and you can take as many condiments as you like from them. The Japanese-style interior was lovely too, and the tempura rice bowl was absolutely delicious.     #268 2026/02/25（水） Tokyo farm village 先週末、息子と「東京ファームビレッジ」 というところに行きました。 大きな牧場と、おしゃれなお店がくっついたような場所で、 牛を近くで見れたり、えさをあげたり、 焚き火でマシュマロを焼いたりできます。 子供の頃うちにも牛がいたので、 実家にいるような感覚になりました😂 新宿から電車で40分くらいかかりますが、 とても気持ちのいい場所でした。 せんしゅうまつ、むすこと「とうきょう ふぁーむ びれっじ」 という ところに いきました。 おおきな ぼくじょうと、おしゃれな おみせが くっついたような ばしょで、 うしを ちかくで みれたり、えさを あげたり、 たきびで ましゅまろを やいたりできます。 こどものころ うちにも うしが いたので、 じっかに いるような かんかくに なりました。 しんじゅくから でんしゃで よんじゅっぷんくらい かかりますが、とても きもちのいい ばしょでした。 Last weekend, my son and I went to a place called Tokyo Farm Village. It's like a large ranch combined with a stylish shop, where you can see cows up close, feed them, and roast marshmallows over a bonfire. Since we had cows at home when I was a kid, it felt like being back at my parents' place.     #267 2026/02/24（火） I love Keroro 皆さんの好きなアニメは何ですか？ 私はアニメにあまり詳しくないのですが、 ケロロ軍曹というアニメがとても好きです。 私はとても陰キャなので、大学生の頃、 みんなで学食でご飯を食べたり、 大勢で飲みに行ったりするのが苦手で、 大学生活に馴染めず、家でひたすらケロロを見ていました😂 なので、アニメとして好きなだけではなく、 辛い時期を救ってくれた存在でもあります。 みなさんの すきな あにめは なんですか？ わたしは あにめに あまり くわしくないのですが、 けろろ ぐんそう という あにめが とても すきです。 わたしは とても いんきゃなので、だいがくせいのころ、 みんなで がくしょくで ごはんを たべたり、 おおぜいで のみに いったりするのが にがてで、 だいがく せいかつに なじめず、いえで ひたすら けろろを みていました。 なので、あにめとして すきなだけではなく、 つらい じきを すくってくれた そんざいでもあります。 What's your favorite anime? I don’t know much about anime, but I love the anime Sergeant Keroro. I'm a total introvert, so back in college, I struggled with eating in the cafeteria with everyone or going out drinking in big groups. I couldn't fit in with college life, so I just stayed home and watched Keroro a lot.     #266 2026/02/23（月） Grave of the Fireflies インスタでこの投稿を見ました。 火垂るの墓というジブリの映画は、作者の体験を元にした実話で、 1945年の第二次世界大戦のときの話です。 幼い兄弟が戦争に苦しむ話で、私も小さい頃に見たのですが、 あまりにも衝撃を受けて、結末をあまり覚えていない、 でももう1回見る勇気がない、という映画です。 皆さんにも、心に衝撃が残った映画はありますか？ いんすたで この とうこうを みました。 ほたるの はか という じぶりの えいがは、 さくしゃの たいけんを もとにした じつわで、 せんきゅうひゃく よんじゅうごねんの だいにじ せかい たいせん のときの はなしです。 おさない きょうだいが せんそうに くるしむ はなしで わたしも ちいさいころに みたのですが、 あまりにも しょうげきを うけて、けつまつを あまり おぼえていない、 でも もう いっかい みる ゆうきが ない、という えいがです。 みなさんにも、こころに しょうげきが のこった えいがは ありますか？ I saw this post on Instagram. The Ghibli film Grave of the Fireflies is based on the author's real-life experiences, a true story set during World War II in 1945. It's about two young siblings suffering through the war. I saw it when I was little too, but it was so shocking that I don't remember much of the ending, yet I still don't have the courage to watch it again. This is a that kind of movie.
