Come to the sacrifice podcast, hosted by Brock Jones and produced by Come to the Sacrifice Podcast Ministries, is a Christian Bible teaching podcast centered on Jesus Christ and His finished work at the Cross. My goal is to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe the Church today needs a reformation of doctrine, getting back to the message of the Cross before revival can come to this world. Through biblical teaching and preaching, we examine subjects including salvation, sanctification, the work of the Holy Spirit, Pentecostal Theology, christian living, and sound biblical doctrine, with an emphasis on understanding Scripture in its proper context. May the Lord richly bless you as you tune in. Thank you.

When Freedom Feels Empty: Manna in the Wilderness

In this episode host Brock Jones walks through Exodus 16, showing how the Israelites' hunger in the wilderness exposed their lingering dependence on Egypt and taught them to trust God for daily provision. It explains how the manna points forward to Jesus as the true Bread of Life and encourages listeners to rely on Christ’s ongoing sufficiency rather than returning to familiar bondage.

Delivered but Not There Yet — Standing at the Red Sea

Pastor Brock Jones examines Exodus 13–14, showing how Israel was delivered from Egypt yet faced an impossible barrier at the Red Sea while Pharaoh pursued them. He encourages listeners that deliverance doesn’t mean arrival, urges faith when the way seems blocked, and points to God’s power to make a path through the crisis—ultimately fulfilled in Christ.

When God Provided the Lamb: From Passover to Freedom

Host Brock Jones walks through Exodus 12 and the night of the Passover, explaining how God provided a spotless lamb as a substitute to save Israel and how that image points directly to Jesus Christ and his atoning work on the cross. The episode connects the blood on the doorposts to the finished work of Christ, emphasizes substitutionary atonement, and shows how the law of the Spirit of life in Christ frees believers from the law of sin and death.

When Bondage Fights Back: Freedom Announced, Resistance Revealed

Host Brock Jones examines Exodus and Romans to show that hearing God’s promise of freedom can make bondage seem stronger, but resistance does not cancel deliverance. The episode explains that deliverance rests on what Christ accomplished, not on our strength, and that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live out that freedom. Listeners are encouraged to reckon themselves dead to sin, rely on the Spirit rather than self-effort, and keep their faith anchored in Jesus and the cross when temptation and setbacks arise.

When the Old Sin Returns: How Christ's Death Sets You Free

This episode answers what a Christian should do when a defeated sin regains control. Drawing on Romans 6:6–14 and Romans 8, it explains that the "old self" was crucified with Christ, sin's dominion was broken, and believers are commanded to "reckon" themselves dead to sin and alive to God. It emphasizes dependence on the Holy Spirit to make Christ’s victory effective in daily struggles and gives practical direction: repent, yield to God, keep considering what Christ accomplished, and fight the fight of faith.

Get Back to the Cross: Why Celebrate Recovery Misses the Mark. Final Episode of Series

In this final episode of the series, host Brock Jones reviews Celebrate Recovery with both fairness and critique, acknowledging its biblical elements but arguing the program often makes human processes foundational instead of Christ's finished work. The episode urges churches to return to the cross, teach union with Christ, rely on the Holy Spirit for sanctification, and offer real discipleship and community rather than treating recovery as a substitute for the gospel.

Victory Has a Name: Finding Freedom in Christ. Celebrate Recovery part 10

Host Brock Jones examines Celebrate Recovery’s “Victory” lesson and contrasts its process-focused approach with the New Testament message that victory over sin is rooted in Christ’s finished work at the cross. The episode walks through Romans and other Scriptures to show that transformation begins with knowing what Christ has accomplished, relies on the Holy Spirit’s power to mortify sin, and is lived out in obedient faith rather than mere self-effort or technique.

Ready, Not Repair: Why the Cross Comes First. Celebrate Recovery part 9

In this episode Brock Jones examines Celebrate Recovery’s “Ready” and “Victory” lessons and asks whether their recovery model matches the New Testament pattern of sanctification. He argues that true transformation begins with Christ’s finished work—our union with Jesus in the cross and resurrection—then the Holy Spirit produces progressive change, not a step-by-step self-repair process. The episode contrasts Celebrate Recovery’s focus on removing character defects with biblical passages like Romans 6 and Ephesians 4, urging listeners to root their faith in Christ’s work and yield to the Spirit for lasting victory over sin.
