Classic Rock Record Review: UFO's 1978 album "Obsession"

Classic rock talk by The Classic Rock Addict. If you listened to rock in the 70s, you've probably heard of the English rock band UFO, formed in 1968. Some of their most-recognised songs include "Doctor Doctor", "Rock Bottom", "Natural Thing", "Lights Out", "Too Hot to Handle" and "Only You Can Rock Me". UFO is considered one of the great classic hard rock acts, and often cited as one of the key influences on the 1980s and 1990s hard rock and heavy metal scenes.  Their more popular albums are "Phenomenon," "Force It," "No Heavy Petting" and "Lights Out." Though not as well known, "Obsession," released in 1978, rocks as hard, and I think even better, than those albums. I'll take you through each track of the album and also you'll learn some history about this great record that should be in your collection! Brief History of Black Sabbath with Ozzy Osbourne

Classic rock talk by The Classic Rock Addict. This episode was recorded on July 22, 2025- the day of Ozzy Osburne's death. I was preparing this podcast when I got the sad news. Black Sabbath with Ozzy was probably my #2 favorite band behind Led Zeppelin, so the news hit me pretty hard. I recorded the podcast with a heavy heart as, like Ozzy, I felt like the show must go on.  This is just a brief history of the band- many books will be written. All the Black Sabbath music on this podcast was recorded from my vinyl collection. Enjoy!
