Group Chat Podcast

GroupChatPodCastDTB, LLC

The Group Chat Podcast is four friends sitting down and having the same kind of conversations you’d hear in a group text—only with microphones and absolutely no guarantee where the conversation is going. Hosted by Casey Gisclair, Damien St. Pierre, Nick Hebert and Tommy Badeaux, the show mixes sports, pro wrestling, South Louisiana stories, local personalities, ridiculous debates, games, drafts and plenty of friendly trash talk. One minute we’re breaking down college football or boxing, the next we’re debating hurricane survival picks, reliving old-school wrestling, or arguing over something that probably never should have become an argument in the first place. No scripts, no experts—just four friends, four opinions and one conversation that can go anywhere. Welcome to the Group Chat.

🌪️ GCP Mount Rushmore: Cat 1 Hurricane Survival Kits

🌪️ THE GROUP CHAT HURRICANE SURVIVAL MOUNT RUSHMORE A Category 1 hurricane just rolled through Cut Off. The houses survived, but the power is gone for FIVE DAYS. Four men. Four rounds. And apparently absolutely zero agreement on what the word “survival” means. We put together a Mount Rushmore-style snake draft of the things we’d want most to survive five miserable, sweaty days without electricity — and things immediately went off the rails. Nick comes out swinging with a generator and basically drafts ALL electricity. Tommy responds by claiming the entire Ryobi/DeWalt battery-powered catalog like he just won a Home Depot shopping spree. Damien starts building an actual post-hurricane compound with solar power, portable A/C and enough food to feed the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Casey’s survival strategy appears to be Wi-Fi, Starlink, cold beer and gasoline so he can sit in his air-conditioned vehicle and scroll Facebook while everyone else rebuilds civilization. Things only get worse when we realize that by the rules of our own stupid draft, one person owns all the gas, another owns all the ice, somebody has apparently cornered the world’s generator market, and WATER somehow falls all the way to Mr. Irrelevant. Along the way we debate swimming pools, grills, frozen meat, phone service, kids’ iPads, radios, Baker Mayfield cards and — because this is the Group Chat — a souped-up bidet. Then we discover that NONE OF US DRAFTED A RADIO. But don’t worry. Casey has all the Wi-Fi. We also close things out by exposing our buddy Tyrus for accidentally living with 1995 internet settings for a YEAR because of something that started in our group chat. You're welcome, Tyrus. 😂 Who built the best hurricane survival setup? Who completely screwed themselves? And what four items are making YOUR Mount Rushmore? 🎙️ Group Chat Podcast: Mount Rushmore Where four grown men can turn basic hurricane preparedness into a competitive sport.

GCP: S2, E3 - Blue Boot, Baker Mayfield & Brass Knuckles

Blue Boot, Baker Mayfield & Brass Knuckles — what more could you want? 😂 The Group Chat is back for another episode, and this one goes everywhere. We recap the Blue Boot Rodeo, break down the World Cup, and debate whether the USA is actually getting any closer to competing with the world’s elite. Then things get heated when Baker Mayfield enters the conversation — and Tommy is ready to defend his guy. We also try to figure out what exactly the New Orleans Pelicans are doing, talk WWE, and fantasy-book the matchup nobody knew they needed: Tom Brady vs. Logan Paul. Naturally, that somehow turns into Brady using his Super Bowl rings as brass knuckles. Plus, we look back at Mustang Mike's final match, the chaos of Cajun Heat, One Man Gang still taking bumps at 66 years old, and plenty more from the Louisiana wrestling scene. Later, the conversation shifts to high school football, EA Sports College Football, SEC football and the potential future of college athletics. 🎙️ Group Chat Podcast — Season 2 Four friends. 🥊 Inside the Ring – Episode 2: Homer “The Nature Boy” Gibbins

🥊 Inside the Ring – Episode 2: Homer “The Nature Boy” Gibbins Former world champion Homer “The Nature Boy” Gibbins joins the Group Chat Podcast for an unforgettable trip through a life spent inside the squared circle. Homer takes us from his early days in amateur boxing to the professional ranks, sharing stories about Evander Holyfield, Lou Duva, legendary trainer George Benton, Hector “Macho” Camacho, Jean Pascal, and the fighters, trainers and promoters he encountered during his career. But this episode goes much deeper than wins and losses. Homer opens up about the business and politics of professional boxing, fighting on short notice, being the opponent in another fighter’s hometown, the physical risks fighters accept every time they step through the ropes, and some unbelievable behind-the-scenes stories that never made the headlines. Then the conversation comes home to Lafayette, Louisiana. Homer revisits his memorable three-fight rivalry with Louisiana boxer Chad Broussard—including their first fight at a packed Blackham Coliseum, the controversial decision, the rematch, the knockout, and the respect that developed between two men who went 26 rounds against each other. And then something happens that nobody planned. In the middle of the interview, Chad Broussard unexpectedly joins the podcast. For the first time on Group Chat Podcast, the two former rivals sit together and tell the story from both sides of the rivalry—and what comes through isn't bitterness. It's friendship, faith and tremendous mutual respect. Homer explains that Chad never had to give him a second or third fight, while Chad talks about why those fights ultimately helped both men and the friendship they developed afterward.
