Cathy Williams - Healing through embodiment

Embodiment is an interesting and sometimes complex process as the biggest barrier to it is often trauma. Fortunately, there are many coaches and therapists of various modalities that can help us get back to our bodies. I am always excited to meet fellow practitioners in my field and so I am introducing an amazing human, author and embodiment practitioner, Cathy Williams. Cathy Williams is a trail-blazer in the world of body based healing and creative arts therapy. Disconnected from her body and fractured from her mind, Cathy had lost herself at the hands of a psychologically abusive relationship and system that failed her. Through somatic and expressive modalities, Cathy regained her discernment, returning to the wisdom of her body, re-learning how to trust in and follow her intuitive knowing. From this place of strength she has built a life for her and her daughter and now shares these transformative healing powers through her Intuitive Self workshops, training and one-on-one sessions.  Known for her compassionate empowering approach, Cathy supports women to rekindle their relationship with their bodies and remember their innate power. In her award-winning debut book: Body Wisdom ~ A guide to connecting with your Intuitive Self, Cathy shares inspired invitations to strengthen your confidence in your Intuition and nurture compassion and love for Self.  You can get in touch with Cathy right here; WEBSITE: https://www.intuitiveself.com.au/ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/intuitiveself__

Alexe Woods - Birth charts and wellbeing

Alexe Woods was such an amazing guest last year that we could not help but to invite her back. This time, she’ll talk us through her work with birth charts and so in anticipation of tomorrow’s podcast, here is a reminder of all the wonderful things Alexe can do. Born with a deep connection to creativity and movement, Alexe Woods discovered early on that these were her tools for navigating many of her life's challenges. In her early 20ies she pioneered alternative dance in the UK, she has always used her unique experiences to innovate and inspire women. In 2014, the fast-paced life that once fueled her began to take a toll. Recognising the need for change, Alexe embraced a new journey of self-discovery. This path led her to Yoga Nidra, body astrology and cyclical living, practices that transformed her approach to wellness and life. Today, Alexe is dedicated to helping others find balance and empowerment through these ancient practices. As a Yoga Nidra instructor, moonologer, and holistic wellness coach, through medical astrology and self care coaching she guides individuals in embracing their unique energy, aligning with the rhythms of nature, and creating personalised self-care routines that resonate with the cycles of the sun and moon and believes by understanding your unique body astrology needs we can protect and heal ourselves.  Alexe’s has a vision for change and has created the methodology behind Universal Movement her mission is to help you unlock your potential, by living by the sun and the moon cycles, enables us understand our unique movement and self care needs to heal, rest, manifest and thrive in every area of your life.  You can find Alexe and her app here: https://www.universalmovement.com/ https://www.instagram.com/lunarlexe?igsh=MXE1azBhZjdtOWpxbQ== https://youtube.com/@universalmovementmethod?si=toEFXC-0fM8L4gPc https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1CNMn7iGUX/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Golboo Cubitt - Brewing Balance with tea

This week we are talking to a tea vender about the various benefits of the variety of teas to our health and how it helps us to reduce our caffein intake and hydrate better. Golboo Cubitt is the founder of Biome Brews, a wellness-led tea brand on a mission to reconnect people with the ancient, intentional rituals of tea drinking. Born in Iran and raised in the UK after her family fled the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s, Golboo grew up in a culture where tea was more than a drink, it was community, healing, and hospitality poured into a cup. Now 44, Golboo is a full-time working mum of two juggling two careers, but her path to launching Biome Brews started with a personal wake up call in her late 30s. After years of high-caffeine living coffee in the morning, wine and G&Ts at night. A health scare forced her to re-evaluate. Dehydrated cells, memory fog, and the creeping signs of burnout made her return to her roots. She began rediscovering the wisdom of her mother’s tea rituals from mint for digestion to fruit infusions for balance and the centuries-old healing properties of loose-leaf blends across Persian, Chinese, and Indian cultures. Biome Brews was born from that transformation. A curated range of organic, handpicked teas sourced directly from pesticide-free farming. Teas that are light, authentic, and free from chemicals or floral gimmicks, every blend is selected for its health benefits and designed to support hydration, gut health, and natural energy. Through Biome Brews, Golboo champions tea as a modern ritual , a daily pause to reset, reconnect, and nourish the body and mind. If you are curious to explore more about Golboo’s gut-friendly teas that actually taste amazing, check out their website www.biomebrews.co.uk, they’ve created a special code WOMENS101 for 12% off your first order. Sheila Lewis - Multiple Sclerosis

We believe that all voices need to be heard and it is the voice of women with autoimmune conditions like MS that are often silenced. Fortunately, there are some brave souls who stand up to represent and inspire. Let me introduce you to one such incredible woman, Sheila Lewis, a Compassionate Advocate for Healing and Growth. With over 28 years of experience in social care, Sheila Lewis has dedicated her life to supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging circumstances. From mental health and learning disabilities to domestic violence and community outreach, she has worked across diverse fields—always striving to uncover the root of human experiences. Her passion lies in truly listening to personal stories and understanding what drives people’s actions. As a Registered Care Manager and Qualified Psychodynamic Therapist, Sheila has spent the last few years running her own private practice, Pathway Therapy Surrey (https://pathwaytherapysurrey.co.uk/). Based in Tadworth, Surrey, her practice offers psychodynamic counselling tailored to each individual’s needs whether in person, online, or over the phone. She believes that our past experiences shape our present behaviours, often in ways we don’t realize. Through therapy, she helps clients explore these influences, gain insight, and make meaningful choices that foster personal growth. Sheila has also faced her own personal challenges, having been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. However, rather than slowing her down, this journey has fuelled her drive deepening her understanding of resilience, self-care, and the importance of emotional healing. She refuses to let obstacles define her, instead using them as motivation to push forward and inspire others on their path to wellness. Beyond her professional expertise, Sheila is a mother, a wife, and a firm believer in the power of self-care, meaningful connections, and humour as tools for resilience. Whether it’s traveling, sharing a belly laugh, or dancing through life’s ups and downs, she embraces the philosophy that joy and healing go hand in hand. Her aspirations remain deeply personal yet universally inspiring climbing a mountain, owning a dog, and continuing to broaden her understanding in the counselling field. Through every step, she remains committed to guiding others toward wellness, growth, and self-empowerment. If you’d like to work with Sheila, you can contact her through her website.
